We have two sweet cats and had to take one of our girl's to the vet, because she wasn't feeling well or acting like herself. We saw Dr. Rooney and he took very good care of her and explained her diagnosis and plan of care. He answered our questions and was very kind. We are taking our other cat for her annual exam to him as well, as we absolutely loved the excellent service at Daniel Webster - from the receptionist to the technician, and of course, Dr. Rooney. Dr Eileen Peterson and the DWAH team has been taking great care of our pets for 20plus years. Appointments are not at all stressful for my cats and we are quickly seen for emergency visits (which thankfully haven't been often). Always busy so they run late a lot. Seems expensive but they do a good job. Depending on the vet, they seem to like to push you to get tests, cleanings, and buy products which is annoying. Really clean inside. Read Less

This place is so unprofessional, I switched vets, do to my pet being prescribed the same meds multiple times, within months of eachother, wich I still had and were not out of date. Not one person there caught this and I was still charged for a medicine I did not need. They are so busy there they traumatized my pet do to a lack of patience and empathy. Its disgusting there, animals crying out in pain all of the times I brought her. But this being my first pet, I thought this was how it is. ABSOLUTELY NOT. I quickly changed vets to one that does not resemble a puppy mill. Called to get her pw faxed over, they said no problem! I show up at my new vet office only to be told they were not faxed the papers, SO the young lady at the front desk calls to get them faxed(wich dw had a wk to do so or at least CALL me) then dw proceeds to tell my new vet that I have an outstanding balance(wich was 80$ for a med that I was disputing still) and said they will NOT fax over my pets paper work that I clearly had paid for! Not only that but they purposely tried to discredit my name! Shame on this disgusting place may they be shut down soon.Read Less

I made an appointment three or two weeks ago for today at 2 pm. I showed up only to be told that it was at 1 pm. Was told that they called me, I was like I'm deaf and had emphasized that over the videophone relay services. When I got home, I double checked my schedule book, I had the appointment down as 2 pm and remember very clearly the appointment was at 2 pm.Read Less

Refreshingly clean and personable. The premises are well taken care of (no odors or messes), the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they do almost everything in front of you allowing you to keep an eye on your animal and comfort him/her (unlike others that whisk them off behind closed doors with "party hats"). Lastly, I'm blown away by the compassion they have; almost any kind of non-typical visit will be followed up with a call asking how your pet is doing, if you have any questions and if everything was taken care of. I had started bringing my cats here about a year ago. I had 2 cats, Simon and Sammy and I would make an appointment for one, and they would be expecting the other one...then I would have to tell them why I'm there and what not as if there was nothing ever written in the chart. After Sammy died of kidney disease, I adopted another 6 month old kitten, Molly. When I brought Molly, down for blood work before a surgery, I was asked why she was there and when I told them, they asked what the surgery was for... AGAIN as if nothing was written in the chart. I had expressed that I felt Molly had a heart condition and suggested that they run tests for it (x-ray and/or blood work), Dr Peterson said there was no need to worry so no tests were run. When I dropped her off for her surgery, I voiced my concern, yet again, to Dr. Rooney and how I really felt they should test her for heart disease because I had a really bad feeling about the surgery. I was told I was worrying for nothing (Molly, an indoor cat.. panted a lot which is a sign of heart disease) and was told "sometimes cats JUST pant". Molly came out of the surgery but died suddenly about an hour later. We will never know why.. but I am beyond convinced she had heart disease and the stress from the surgery caused her to die. I think the doctors at this facility need to research heart disease the way I did and then they'll scratch their heads and mutter the words "I think she was right about Molly". If they would have even showed a LITTLE concern for how she panted, i would not have gone through with the surgery. It's not as if I was asking for free testing! I would have gladly paid for any test that would have confirmed or denied my fear. Research indicated that an x-ray would have showed if she had heart disease. I asked Dr. P for the x-ray and for her to tell me it's not necessary is just beyond irresponsible. Kittens can have heart disease...they can be born with it. It's BS that not only was I a PAYING CUSTOMER, but Molly was their patient and she died because they couldn't be bothered to take an x-ray. Read Less
