If you're looking for an honest, respectable and trustworthy veterinarians look no further than Crossroads Animal Hospital. We've been taking all our pets here since we moved to NH in 2000 and they have never been anything but awesome to our both family and pets (who are family).Dr. Gauthier is amazing. He loves my dogs as if they are his own. He is like that with all the pets he treats. When Dr. Gauthier is not available I do see other doctors who are just as friendly and efficient with my dogs, but Dr. Gauthier just has that extra magic with animals. It was hard on our family (and our Frenchie, Teddy) when he left Crossroads for a short bit. We're all glad he is back!!!All the doctors there work very hard. They give you their honest opinion and try to give you as many options as possible for any issues. Yes, the place is pricey, but it's worth it. You can't put a price on your pets and these veterinarians certainly have a genuine love and care for every single animal that comes through their doors. The establishment is always clean. The waiting rooms, exam rooms, etc. If a pet happens to poop or pee on the floor the staff is on it right away. The reception staff is always nice both in person and on the phone. I have been coming to this vet since 2000. I used to think they were ok (the techs and vets are nice, the check in people are rude and uninterested), but over the years my opinion has shifted. Our Newfoundland is 13 1/2. She no longer is being groomed professionally because she can't stand long and getting her in the car is extremely difficult. I made an appointment for her to get her rabies shot and her nails clipped and made it known we do not need physical for her. We know she is very old and on borrowed time as it is. They day before they called me to bring a stool sample for her physical. I called and they told me they will not see her without a full physical. So I canceled the visit and will try to get her to a vaccine clinic at a retail outlet. Then the clerk told me that since I refuse the physical, they will not prescribe her rimadyl that she needs for her arthritis. Basically holding her prescription hostage unless I fork over the $200+ for a physical so they can tell me she is old. She is in pain when she does not get her arthritis meds but apparently the money they will get for a physical is more important to Crossroads then keeping a dog (that was a patient for 13 years!) comfortable. Thanks for showing your true colors, I am looking for another vet for my 2 dogs and cat. Read Less
