We started coming here because when I adopted 2 kittens they came in with fleas. This was the only place in town that was welcoming and willing to help me right away when I panicked and needed flea medicine for my new babies. Even though there was always one receptionist that was frantic and crazy on the phone (which always bothered me), everyone else was extremely friendly and warm in person.In November I brought my boy kitty in because we noticed that he was straining while peeing. He was only 2 years old. The Vet felt his belly, told us his bladder seemed fine but sent us home with some beads so that we could separate the cats and collect a urine sample. I did this right away. My poor kitty was having such a hard time. His sample came back with blood and crystals and we were told that it really wasn't so bad, we could give him pain meds for now and that we needed to put him on a prescription diet for 3 months to life in order to prevent crystals and that we should continue to monitor him. We brought him in two different times- both times we were told it was no big deal and that if we felt his bladder it would be obvious if he was blocked and in trouble. Well I felt his bladder and apparently things that are obvious to this vet are not obvious to normal people. I probably should have asked how big it would feel or how hard to press, but honestly, I never felt anything. Just over one month into my cat's very expensive prescription diet he became very ill pretty rapidly. We took him to the animal hospital and he died that night. That was in December and I just decided that I could fairly write this review. Yes, my cat had a condition that he probably would have gotten no matter what. Yes, he may have died at 2 years old anyway. But we would have done a lot more for him in advance if we had known what to do and this vet just kept telling us how healthy he seemed regardless of his condition. The bottom line was that he was NOT healthy. I feel that she could have gone into more exact detail on what to look for for warning signs. But she did not. We also over heard them talking once a while back about how the office pet turtle had died. It may have just been old. We'll never know, as we won't be returning to this vet. Read Less

This place is awesome! The employees were all so friendly! I loved that the exam rooms had cat trees in them to keep the cats calm and interested. My cat didn't want to leave his carrier the entire time except to go over to the vet tech to check her out and to rub his face on hers; then he went right back in the carrier. I cannot tell you how wonderful Nashua Pet Care Clinic is.  Dr. Kathleen Shank shows complete compassion for the animals in her care.  My new puppy was showing signs of not being able to breath.  I called the Nashua Pet Care up and explained what was happening.  Dr. Kathleen Shank actually got on the phone to ask me questions about the dog.  After explaining she told me to bring the dog right over.  When I walked in Dr. Shank was waiting for me and took the dog right away.  She came out within 5 minutes and told me that the dog eat a bee and it sting her on the way down and that the dog was allergic to the bee sting.  Could not ask for a better place to go.  They now have 3 more clients. Everyone here was absolutely amazing! My dog is terrified of her own shadow and every staff member sat down on the floor to keep her at ease throughout our appointment. Brought my guinea pig in, vets were very nice and understanding. Prices fair and I was only charged for services performed and nothing extra. I bring my two cats here and dog. I love it. Recently i had to bring my 12 year old guinea pig in to be put down. It was the worst thing i have ever done. Everyone treated me and my husband so well. The Level of care and compassion in this office is just AMAZING. You can tell that they are in there chosen profession because they LOVE animals and are not there just for the money. I have been going here for almost 3 years. We first with our 18 year old dog and they worked with us in every way to try and treat him. Unfortunately we had to put him down. Even though it was the worst day...they made it so much more bearable with their compassion..comfort..and understanding. We even left with a puppy whuch helped heal our wounds. Well now the puppy is grown and has puppies of her own..we just brought her in with the pups for her first check up. Thank you to all..you make us feel like family and enjoy in our special event. We have seen Dr.Phenix only for routine vet visits and yearly shots. Then our beloved Shep/Dane mix developed a growth on her head. We called on a Wednesday afternoon and the office was able to fit us in the next afternoon. After a thorough examination, Dr. Phenix new right away that it was a pretty serious infection. He scheduled her surgery for Monday morning not his normal surgical day. When we dropped Dolce off on Monday we assumed she would have the surgery and be home that evening, unfortunately that was not the case. She required a second surgery and three days in the hospital. During her stay we were encouraged to call and come into see her. Tracy was so helpful and calmed our fears. Dr. Phenix took time and patience to explain what was wrong with her. The staff clearly loves animals and their family's. As far as prices go, you get what you pay for. We received the best care possible for our Dolce and that is truly priceless. Dr. Phenix uses lasers to operate so there is less pain for the animal. He had all prescriptions on hand a available. He and his staff took amazing care of our very treasured family member. We looking forward to seeing him for many more years and will refer all of pet friends to him. Read Less
