I Just moved here from Philadelphia and was so happy I was able to find a veterinarian clinic that was kind, courteous and gentle with my pug. Thank you both very much.

After numerous attempts to get my dog Skye seen from several different places I was turned away because of my financial situation but Dr. Huston and his staff went above and beyond to try and help me figure out what was going on with her. They worked with me, they were very attentive to her. Unfortunately, Skye was passed the point of getting her better and sadly we had to put her down. But I will never forget the kindness and love they had shown to us. I will be forever grateful to you! Thank you so much! There should be more vets like Dr. Huston in this world! 💙 Read Less

I went there today with my 5 1/2 month old puppy to get a physical for an apt to get neutered. Coming into the building I noticed how creepy it was and felt. It took about 5 minutes for this older lady (who legit looked like she abuses animals or possibly children) to come greet me. She was waiting for my vet to fax over my dogs medical records, which took longer than all of our liking. She then gave me paper work to fill out and had me wait in the Doctors office. My Appointment was at 1:15 PM. At about 1:40 PM i walked out of my room with my puppy who was whining, barking, and crying. She then said the reason why the Doctor hadn't seen me yet was due to not receiving the fax in time. However the Doctor was sitting in the next room reading paper work and could of very well done the physical as we waited for the fax to come in. She then proceeded to tell me that it was my fault and that if I wanted to leave I could leave. She began to raise her voice at me and THREW the paperwork AT ME. I had to pick up all the records from the floor and began to leave the office. She started coming after me telling me she needed those documents, after she TOLD ME to take EVERYTHING (which they were MY documents anyways). I advise NO ONE to go to this place. AWFUL service and the Doctor never even showed up to help me. I literally thought this lady was going to come at me and I would have to call the police. Read Less

Although this place is older, my two girls have always received loving care; one even ended up having to have surgery and there were no complications during or after.

I took my dog here for several years.  Last year she got very sick and we found out that she had congestive heart failure.  We went through many tests and medication and visits.  The Dr. would call me periodically to check in on my dog and see how she was feeling.  In the end, we had to put her down.  It was heart breaking, however, the staff there was so kind and I will never forget that.  This is in an older building and there is a definite smell of animals, however, everything is totally clean (I'm very picky about that).  Sandy has always been super helpful and you can tell they truly care about your animal. I chose this Animal Hospital from a list of places associated with Friends of Animals, a low cost neutering program.I am completely satisfied with all of the services they have rendered so far.  They did not treat me any different than if I was paying full price.  The office visit went very well.  Dr Huston gave my dog a thorough exam.  The place is definitely old school, but it is clean and comfortable.Today my dog was neutered by Dr McNeil.  I didn't meet him, but the receptionist, Sandy, was wonderful.  She really seemed to care about my dog and made sure I knew all of the after care instructions before I took him home.I am impressed that they allowed me to drop him off the night before and did not charge me a boarding fee.  His cage was very cozy and all set up, waiting for him to arrive.  Sandy brought me in to see where he'd be staying and I didn't even have to ask.  While he was there, they clipped his nails down really nice-again, no charge and I didn't even need to ask.  They also sent him home with an E collar at no extra charge.  I'm really really happy I chose them.  I'm also glad that there are places like this around because without them, I'd never be able to afford to be a responsible pet owner, which would mean I could not give an animal in need a home.  Don't be fooled by the look of the place.  I'll be passing a dozen other vets on my way to State Line next time my dog needs a check up! As a loving cat owner I wanted to recommend State Line Animal Hospital for the treatment of our feline friends.Several weeks ago our 12 year old cat Snarf, a Maine Coon cat started to exhibit unusual behavior. He was not eating, dehydration and other issues. We brought him in for an examination with Dr. Huston. He was very caring and understanding of our need to know what with going on with Snarf before we could make an educated decision on what course of action to take with our little friend. While waiting for a full diagnosis of Snarf's condition Dr. Huston decided that he should send Snaft home for while we waited for results. My wife and I are grateful of that decision since we were able to spend some more time with our beloved pet. We received news that a large baseball sized mass showed up in Snarf's x-ray a day later and he recommended us to a specialist in Manchester for further tests.Once we brought our pet home Dr. Huston called us every night to check on Snarf's condition.  To my wife and I this really meant a lot to us both as in my 33 years on this earth as I have never had a vet call us at 7:30pm every night on his own time to check in on our pet.  Snarf's condition continued to deteriorate at home even after a result of Dr. Huston's best efforts. We canceled our appointment with the specialist in Manchester. Dr. Huston made and appointment with us after calling us to check in our friend after long careful thought between my wife and I.Saying goodbye to pet is never an easy thing to do but Dr. Huston and his staff made the entire process easy and less painful as pet owners. We decided to put Snarf to sleep on 2/16/13.  Dr. Huston made us feel not alone. He was extremely good to Snarf and allowed us unlimited time to say our goodbyes to our friend after the procedure was done. When we left the room Dr. Huston gave my wife a hug with teary eyes. He really cares about his patients and this truly showed us how he feels about putting animals to sleep. He is a good man with a good soul who is sympathetic to your pets.God Bless Dr, Huston as my wife and I are thankful for his compassion in our situation. Read Less

This place is super sketchy, do not go here if you can help it. For one thing, it is dirty, the vet is scared of animals, the secretary is quite the airhead(and I couldn't help noticing this is a healthcare practice and she did not have clean nails), they have nobody overnight, so what if something happens to your pet then? I got my cat spayed here and did not like the way they handled it whatsoever-then they sent me home with metacam, which if you do not know, is for dogs only, it causes renal failure to be followed with death in cats. what they are doing open I have no idea. I am pretty sure a cat I rescued was spayed here as well, because she is botched as if they forgot they were doing the surgery after opening her up. her urine reeks and she has a hard time with the boys. If you care about your pets, or the money you are spending at the least, do not go here!!! Read Less

Went there for a spay consultation and was really uncomfortable. It was pretty dirty, and run down. When the vet came in, he seems scared of our dog, spent about 3 minutes doing her physical, and then gave her her kennel cough vaccine (a spray up the nose). Only about half the vaccine got in her nose- the rest was clearly on her face. He left without asking if we had any questions and never said ANYTHING about the spay. The receptionist immediately started trying to schedule the spay. I work with animals and knew there was a waiting period after heat (which she is currently in). I had to get the receptionist to track down the vet so he could tell me how long (This information was not offered, and the receptionist seemed to know nothing about it). I then asked to see the surgery room (again, would not have happened if I didn't ask)- also dirty, with what appeared to be an old bloody towel in the corner, and everything looked very old. The "kennel" part for before and after the surgery was pretty much an office with metal crates. Also, the staff showed ZERO knowledge of dog behavior- my dog is a rescue with fear aggresion and they kept handling her fairly roughly despite her obviously high stress. Read Less

PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS VET. I was trying to save some money and went with them to spay my dog... 2 days after the surgery, my dog got corneal ulcer. Why? Because during the surgery they did not put lubricate her eyes and now she may go blind. I even read all the reviews for this vet but thought to myself that I could be a lucky one and nothing would happen. Well today i just spent $250 in the ER at Nashua Animal Hospital and just the thought that she will lose her vision breaks my heart. This place should be closed for good.
