Fieldstone Animal Hospital is absolutely THE best vet I've ever been to. All the staff are always very friendly & helpful, appointments are prompt & easy to make, I dont believe I've ever waited more than a day or 2 to have any of my animals seen & they squeeze them in same day (w/the same amount of care & concern) w/emergencies. The get on the floor & greet my dogs & scratch the cats for a minute before going right to work which makes the animals relax & feel more comfortable, my 2 big dogs used to shiver the minute we walked into the vet, they do not anymore, the 2 little ones still do but....little dogs, what can ya say lol. Dr.Sawyer NEVER rushes us, makes sure she covers all info & questions pertaining to us at the time, she gives all options along w/quotes & what she believes we should start with & not a single time has she ever jumped right to the most expensive, her approach is much more "let's see what we can do that will be best for you & make your pet most comfortable", I've been to vets who automatically push for insanely expensive fixes, Fieldstone is not 1 of them. 1 of my big guys is a pitbull (the other a Golden), & I have run into vets that treated my pit differently even though they should know better, everyone here treats him as he is, a DOG, plain & simple. I also feed a raw diet & have run into serious issues & had numerous arguments w/vets over this, Dr.Sawyer has chosen to take courses on nutrition & many other forms of continuing education not required (vets are not required to take any nutrition courses & the ones that are offered at colleges are put on by pet food companies, not the best source of truthful information!), b/c of her knowledge in these areas, the diet has never been an issue & the only time we even discussed the possibility of trying poison again was when my pitbull acquired horrible allergies & she suggested a few things to try & the possibility of a very specially formulated kibble diet that would have separated all the proteins & made the culprit obvious at a cheap(er) cost & more accurate/fast. Thankfully (sort of) we've now figured out that they are seasonal/environmental & NOT a food allergy so I have no need to feed my dog poison again-which is precisely what kibble is. I have moved a ton in my lifetime & seen more vets than I remember, I would drive 2hrs or more if need be to continue my patronage of Fieldstone. I'd give them 10 stars if I had the option. If your pets mean as much to you as mine do to me but you dont believe you should need to mortgage your house every time they get a sniffle & you'd like someone to take the time to listen to ALL your concerns & THOROUGHLY explain everything from treatment possibilities & what they entail good & bad, to cost, you owe it to yourself & your pets to see what it feels like to find an incredible vet you can trust & depend on & who will treat you & your animals like cherished friends.
