I had an amazing experience at Main Street Animal Hospital. The only reason I'm not giving it the full 5/5 is because they are a little pricey and the manager I dealt with was kind of rude (see side note). But the entire staff is incredible! My cat went in with really severe blocking and his case was strange compared to other cats so everything was complicated. But the vets that worked with him were very knowledgeable and were sure to explain everything to us in detail. The technicians that worked with him were so friendly and attentive, they took my cat in like he was their own and were very comforting when things got emotional. Amanda even stayed with him overnight to keep an eye on him and I appreciate that a lot because apparently that's not something they normally do. They did a great job at helping my cat get better, I thought I was going to lose him but now he's back to his normal self. I can't thank Main Street enough for all their help!Side note: I was having some complications with payment and had to talk to the manager Donna. She was the only person I had a negative experience with because, long story short, not only was she kind of rude but she wasn't really listening to what I was saying. I understood where she was coming from but she could have dealt with it better. Luckily everything else was so great, it hardly affected my experience as a whole. Read Less

They are very lovely and caring. I had to put my 16 year old cat down, my vet WAS Salem Animal Hospital, when I called and explained my situation, SAH said they could not get me in because it was 4pm with not openings left and gave me two options; (btw, they are never busy) that I could come in the next day (which was NOT an option) OR come in and wait PLUS pay an emergency visit charge ontop of a office visit and the cost of the procedure. What the hell is the difference? Mind you I have been using them for the past 2 years. They did not care. After trying to get them to listen and they wouldn't, I told them I was calling someone else that could help my poor baby girl out. I then called Main St., explained my situation and they told me to come in right away. They did not know me, I had never used them before, but THEY CARED! And they were awesome through the entire process. After my horrible experience with SAH, I will be using Main St to take care of my 14 month old dog. They even called SAH and got all his records to I did not have to speak with them. CARING PEOPLE, LOVING YOUR PETS AS THEY WERE THEIR OWN. Read Less

We have been using Main Street for over 4 years and couldn't be happier. When we initially moved to NH we saw the Salem Animal Hospital was right down the road but it had relatively poor reviews and being right next to a mall we decided to go with Main Street which was a little farther but excellent reviews.The staff couldn't be friendlier and Dr. Martin is wonderful. We have been fortunate in that our dog has mostly only needed routine checkups, but a few times there were minor concerns with our pup they were a great resource.Today, we scheduled a grooming at a local business and they noted they needed updated vaccine info for his appointment in an hour. Called Main Street, and they answered right away and in less than a minute they emailed me his vaccines.They accept all major credit cards and always parking available in their private lot. Highly recommend them to anyone in the area and can't imagine bringing our little guy anywhere else. Read Less

I've been taking my small dog to Main Street for over 10 years and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Dr. Martin and his entire staff are friendly,caring and very competent. All my questions are always answered and phone calls always returned in a timely manner. When my dog had surgery and was upset while coming out of the anesthesia one of the techs layed down with him to calm him down. Going to the vet is stressful for most animals but the staff at Main Street go out of their way to make it as enjoyable as possible. Read Less

Our family LOVES Main Street Animal Hospital!! All the girls are super nice, and so patient with my dogs! The doctors are very knowledgeable, and always have our best interest at heart. You can tell when a person truly loves what they do! Everyone always remembers our names (2 legged as well as 4 legged). I couldn't have asked for a better team to care for my 2 cats and 2 dogs throughout the years. My heart was sad last night knowing that my lil Zoey would be having surgery in the am... but Knowing she is in great hands receiving amazing care helped ease my mind.. Throughout the day I was updated and kept well informed of the events as they took place.. Pre surg, surgical and post operative.. When my husband and I want to pick her up tonight we were given all of her instructions and Dr Martin came out and spent a great deal of time with us explaining everything that had been done and that needs to be done to care for her.. There are no words to express the true gratification that my husband and I feel from EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU! I say these words from the bottom of my heart. I switched from another vet practice in my town and this is about 20 minute drive. It is worth it !! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my boy The staff is always friendly and easy to work with. You can tell they love what they do. I can't say enough about the vets here. I have been for healthy visits and more serious issues. They go above and beyond. My Louie gets a better exam here than I do at my PCP. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Read Less

Excellent staff, nice and friendly clean facility. Although their prices are super expensive compared to my other two vets that I use to go to. Also everytime I'm there they always try to upsell me on services or products. So all in all. I wish their prices were little bit lower for the services they provide. Read Less

Great hospital.  They care deeply for the animals that come in, whether as an emergency or routine check up, and they do what they can to help their clients through tough decisions.  The employees are nice and the doctors are competent.  I've heard the prices are slightly higher than elsewhere, but for the level of care and respect my pets receive, it's well worth it.  I'm more than willing to make the hour drive to get there.
