DEFINETLY DESERVING OF 5 STARS! I recently purchased my puppy 3 days ago and she got severely lethargic and appeared to be having epileptic seizures. I called first thing in the morning and spoke with Ceil. She took the time to hear my concerns and advised I should have my puppy checked. I came in and she showed extreme concern and took me right back to see Dr.Kim. He examined & observed my pup and provided his recommendation but also took in to consideration and provided different options since my puppy has a neurological disorder and with these circumstances the odds of her pulling through would have slight odds( Not once did he recommend putting her down as other would for the money). This office and their staff clearly cares not only for animals but for the owners as well. For the first time ever it wasn't about money it was actually about the quality of care! I decided to take my chances and go the more economic way as he advised since my pup is only 5 weeks. Glad to say my office visit was at 6pm my puppy was hanging by a string of life and it's now 1am and my puppy is back to normal playing, drinking & eating! For today's day and age I think we can all agree owning a pet can be quite expensive. Dr. Kims office is certainly affordable and overall it's not about costs its about quality of care! I just read the last two reviews from Annie and Bo Da, and I totally disagree with them! I have taken my Bully, and my Great Dane to Church Road Animal Hospital to have the ears done, in the past year, and I drive down from North Jersey. Their prices are always great. They always have you come in for a free consultation, (other places always charge for a consult). You don't have to do anything, they just want to evaluate the ears and make sure your pet is healthy. If you don't take care of your pet is it their fault? Of course not. They need to make sure your dog is healthy before they can do surgery. As the owner your should want that too!! If your dogs vaccines are not up to date, if your dog has worms, or if your dog is anemic....do you think its ok to go ahead and do surgery? Would you take that risk? Would you take that risk for yourself or your child? No you wouldn't! If you don't want what's best for your dog, maybe you shouldn't do the surgery. Church Road Animal Hospital is a great place, they do a wonderful job, both my dogs ears look fantastic! I wish the vets near me were as good. If I could I would give them zero stars. I went there for ear cropping consult/ procedure. Every where with there info stated free consultation but no where does it say you have to do the bloodwork.and bordetella and 2nd shot from them. And not only that once the bloodwork comes back oh miraculously the blood sugar is low or something. So the vet and receptionist both states that puppy had to be put on sopplements that they so happen to have plus some other meds. So right after consult I spent about 350 just on bloodwork, supplements, and the extra shots they said you habe to get from them or else they world charge me another blood work which was about 180. So at the end of it all I spent about 750 to 800 and my dog's ears were cut too short. I think he is good for cropped ears that are short not great danes ears. Read Less

Horrible experience. They quote you a low price on the phone for small dogs. By the time their finished your spending 3 times as much money. Since our dog was a puppy we assumed it was small. The trick is they charge by the weight. They never explain that until is time to pay for surgery. I live 1hr away. The first time was for consultation. I had to spend 230 for medicine that the dog needed for the surgery. I asked them how much will the surgery cost and she said it depends on how quick we bring him back. I scheduled him the following week and was then told it will cost 650. We were originally told 295 but because his weight was over 24 pounds we had to pay more. He was 27 pounds when we brought him there the first time. She could have explained that during the consultation. I asked 3 times hiw much and all i got is it depends. Because i made 4 hours worth of trips i broke down and payed for it. Here's the othe bad part. He had to spend a night which they never told us from the beginning so add on another 2hr drive. I do not recommend this place. My dog ears are shorter than i asked for. The people that are happy with there service are probably local customers or paying for somethong that cost less than ear cropping. Read Less

Recommended by the breeder I bought my cane corso from. Needed his ears cropped. Was told on phone it was $190. By time I was done with my pup, it cost me around $900. They use scare tactics to get you to spend more money. My pup also had two tics when we got him back. They also used some cleaning solutions that turned my pups hair color. Read Less

Provided excellent aftercare to my uneasy pup! Great people, great care, and great prices. After reading the negative review, I must say that I had the complete opposite experience. I purchased a puppy who had his ears cropped by the breeder and found no doctor willing to provide aftercare for a surgery they hadn't performed themselves. I tried 6 different veterinary offices all of which refused to care for my pup. After explaining my situation to Ceil, she promptly scheduled an appointment for the same day and thanks to Dr. Kim and his staff, my pup's ears healed quickly and stand perfectly. I should also mention that my pup removed the tape from his ears literally daily, and I had to make a 2 hour trip (4 hour round trip) to this vet every other day for almost two weeks. Instead of being annoyed by the fact that I show up to his office every other day with the same issue, me and my pup were welcome each and every time with open arms. I also had my office visit fee waived SEVERAL times and spent a total of about $250 for 6 office visits, and never had a product "pushed" on me. I feel for the loss of the person who left the negative review, but given my own experience with these wonderful people, I had to share some insight. Anyone who considers this place "overpriced" should really reconsider their financial ability to care for a pet. Your pet is nobody else's responsibility but your own. Read Less

I liked this place, but then decided against ever taking our pup back. They seem to want money and more money, but don't want to actually take care of your pup and family. They use scare tactics which is just ridiculous. Find a different place to take your pup! Read Less

I would give Dr. Kim and staff 10 stars if I could. They are great! They took wonderful care of my puppy and I am very happy. They are thorough, kind, and compassionate. Their prices are very reasonable, and Dr. Kim's knowledge and know how are beyond compare. I have been to other doctors over the years with other pets, but from now on, we only go to Dr. Kim and Church Road Animal Hospital. They also have a puppy wellness program that is great. The person who wrote a negative review and said they push products, sounds like she has some real personality problems, along with a lot of guilt for not taking care of her dog as she should have. We have been going here for over 5 years, with our various pets. Dr. Kim and his staff have always been great! They are always thorough and very caring. Our dogs are always happy to walk in. The other hospitals we previously used, our dogs, wanted in run in the other direction. When I recommend Church Road Animal Hospital, the people come back and thank me for a great recommendation. I agree the clinic needs remodeling. Dr. Kim is an experienced veterinarian. I would recommend him and I would take any of my three dogs to him. He was my first dog's vet. My first dog, a Pekingese, lived a healthy and happy fifteen years. His passing was a result of an age related illness. First of all, Dr. Kim was able to keep Spunky comfortable, and Spunky was able to pass in my mother's arm, safe and sound at home, and in no pain. Dr. Kim and his receptionist also helped our family get through the loss and even offered us a Pug puppy for [free] adoption. I will also note that we donated any unused medication, but the vet actually refunded us. They were always kind, considerate, and gentle. Dr. Kim's bedside manner may not be the best, but his background, experience, and care of animals is what is important to me. As for pushing products, I never experienced that. Their prices were always fair. I currently do live in the area, and that is the only reason my dogs do not go to Dr. Kim. If you can look past the age of the building, and if you do not expect your vet to be "bubbly" and doting all over your animal, then this vet is a great choice.Read Less

I would have to disagree with the comments made previously. Cabo, my dog came in desperate for dental care. He needed a majority of his teeth removed. His teeth were infected and rotting in his mouth. This would not be his first time under anesthetic. However, each time under anesthetic is very scarry especially when it's done to a small dog of only 4lbs. Each time he came out happy and awake. The removal of teeth is very expensive. I regretfully didn't take him sooner cause it was so expensive. I figured it would be best to wait till he needed them all removed to save on the cost of each visit and to reduce the chances that something would go wrong under anesthetic. I hesitantly took him in, frightened I explained all of this to the doctor, I told him the reason I didnt take him in earlier and he took Cabo to do the procedure. Later, I came back to pick him up. He was happy and awake like the times before and the doctor also gave me a break on the bill. Thank you for helping Cabo. He is happier than ever!!! If it wasn't for the help and compassion of this Veteran Cabo might still have teeth rotting and an infection that might have poisoned his body. After a few visits our cat's problem just got worse and was never diagnosed here, it was only properly diagnosed when we went to the Cherry Hill Cat Clinic down the road!  We wasted so much time, energy, and money here as the cat continually went down hill, and we were made to feel guilty about not treating the cat better ... really? after a $1,000+ vet bill on Church Rd!  We're now in the middle of trying to save a very sick cat at the Cherry Hill Cat Clinic which actually has knowledgeable vets' who we can understand (speak English clearly) and treat the underlying problem.  Wish we had gone to the Cat Clinic from the get-go, this Church Road animal hospital is a bad joke.  (Church Rd even told us after the last visit to go to a vet teaching hospital for the cat, you tell us this after the 5th visit?)  The Dr. and helper here need to go back to school! I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. First off I took my puppy here for wellness, shots, etc. The doctor is Dr. YOUNG KIM. I thought maybe the site I looked at had the info wrong. And it was Kim Young. Wrong. It is Young Kim. I am a 25 year old girl. I have friends of every ethnic background. I could not understand half of what this man said. I had to ask him to himself so much I almost felt rude. And felt like I wasn't getting the correct information for my dog. And his receptionist is an older blonde woman who is really just pushy and rude. She tries to push products on you that while they may seem like they are good for your pet, in reality, no dry food is good for pets. None of them. Period. Even the worst canned food is better for your pet than the best dry kibble. They will sell you a wellness plan to save you money on office visits which is just another ploy to squeeze money out of you. They are over priced. The place is dirty. It needs serious remodeling. The informative signs about animal health and things of that are ripped and tattered. Just seems like an old business that is sinking into nothing. One that is trying to save itself in all the wrong ways. I was going to have my baby's ears cropped here, the price was right, but the doctor brought out photos of surgeries he had supposedly done and they were so old some of them were polaroids! I haven't seen those since 1990! I went forward with the surgery. Everything went well but they decided to keep him an extra night and i had to pay an extra night of boarding and other drug costs. This place needs some serious technology revamping or just to shut down. Fast forward one year. A monday evening. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. Laid off my job. With a sick pup. I had no money to put down immediately on an exam. And wouldn't for 2 days. But considering I had spent so much money with them in the past I thought hopefully they would help my poor dog. Nope. Nada. No help. I was on the phone crying. Explaining to this lady that I was quite sure my dog's life may be in danger. And I was correct. But without "money to put down to show good faith" (as if I already had not spent over $1300 at this place in 4 months time) I hang up frustrated, They wouldn't help me. Wednesday morning I finally find a vet clinic that will help me. But it was too late. My dog had ingested antifreeze when he got loose, we found the source in a neighbors back yard. My dogs liver, and kidneys shut down, he started having seizures Wednesday morning at 3AM and continued to have them every 2 hours until 11AM and the last one left him blind, he was euthanized around noon that day. I still have a balance I am working to pay off. But not every Vet Clinic is money hungry like this one. At the nice clinic i found in Collingswood 7 people stood in a room while he was put to sleep. 4 of us holding hands crying while holding the dog as he seized when the first half of the dosage was injected. Myself. My boyfriend. His mother. And a nurse. His heart stopped within 30 seconds of the second half being injected. And my 20 month old pit bull that i bottle fed from 19 days old was gone. Had Church road Animal hospital agreed to help him, he may still be with me. How about that for good faith.Read Less
