From the receptionists to the techs and doctors everyone is loving caring and compassionate professional and go above and beyond for your furbabies. They take the time and explain the best treatment options for your babies and will never do unnecessary treatments to nickel and dime you out of money and will work with you on a payment plan to best fit your needs. We only come here to get the dogs nails clipped and for the free (Town) rabies shots (our mutt really didn't need a lot of medical care).Yet, when Scooter started to go into some kind of fit, we brought him--Dr. Elizabeth Merz  and at least three of her kind staff stayed open late on a Friday to see us. They sent us home with a lot of information, some medication, a bit of hope, and told us to call in the morning.When Scooter didn't get better, we brought him back to put him down. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!! They almost killed my cat and did not care! We had to spend the whole night in the ER at a different place to cure my cat. I have been bringing my miniature poodle, Marla, to Cresskill for many years. Marla has many, many issues and both Dr. Elia and Dr. Ashley have helped my dog tremendously. They are thorough, patient and explain everything to me. The staff is courteous and do their best to make appoitments for me when needed. The hospital is clean. I have been using Cresskill Animal Hospital for the past 5 years since moving local to the area. Not only are they fairly priced but their facility is clean. I found so many vet clinics to be dirty and this was such a pleasant change. They always try to get you in for an appointment in a pinch and the staff is always courteous. Love working with Dr. Ilia and Dr. Arns. They are honest and work with integrity above and beyond the norm. They truly love and care for your animals. Being greeted by Pat and Karen at the front desk during the day is always a pleasure Charlie the office manager is a sweetheart and a shout out to Candace, Amanda, Erica and all the rest of the staff who have helped me and my husband and I care for our 9 dogs and 3 rabbits. I am a long time devotee of Cresskill Animal Hospital. I wish I had written this review years ago... when I had healthy pets that just needed shots and annuals and boarding. But when my six and a half year old Rottweiler Chloe became severely injured and ill my daughters and I made the painful decision to have Dr. Arns put her to sleep. That sad day was yesterday. Thank you to the staff of Cresskill for the love and affection you always showed Chloe... I was so touched by the compassion you showed my family yesterday... the hugs...the tears... the gentle voices... Lets face it - Vets are expensive!...Staff is very nice and caring...Can say same of Dr's as well...They don't alarm you and start running up unnecessary charges...Office hours are very good as well...Only closed on Sundays...Can't say enough about Dr. Arns and Dr. Ilia...Both are wonderful. As someone who does rescue work and has worked with many dogs and multiple vets, this is NOT a good one anymore. We have been taking our dog there for 14 years, but once the hospital became part of Vetcor chain vets, their policies have changed. Obviously, vets are a business, but now the hospital is pursuing policies that are NOT in pets' best interests. Requiring animals to have a Bordatella booster every 6 months is absolutely absurd and unhealthy, especially in an older dog. You wouldn't continuously vaccinate your child for measles every six months would you? (the concept is the same; you don't need to boost every 6 months- this s purely to make money). Shots are the easiest and quickest ways for vets to make money. I just find that the ""care"" is no longer directed at your animal's best interests, but instead at putting more money into the corporation's pockets. We will NO longer be going here. Read Less
