Not impressed with the care for an animal hospital commanding premium prices for care. I brought the dog for ear infection. They charged me $300 for visit, ear medication, allergy shot and trimming dog's nails. They asked that I came back in 2 weeks for follow up. After 2 weeks the dog was sicker than before and ear infection was worse. They said the medication they gave her did not kill the bacteria so they gave another medication and they charged me $300 again. I questioned the fact that the first time nothing they did worked, dog got sicker instead and they charged me another $300. Their answer was that "medication is not magic and sometime works and sometime it does not". Bottom line the dog was diagnosed with the wrong type of bacteria (only one type was identified) and they took no accountability.

My dog had a surgery and we were very unhappy with the way it went and will no longer be using them. She required a specialist and corrective surgeries as a result of the original surgery at Cresskill . My 3 star rating is only because I have been told that Cresskill will be acting in good faith and reimbursing us for all of the medical expenses incurred as a result of the original surgery.

I would highly recommend Cresskill animal hospital to any and everyone. From the receptionists to the techs and doctors everyone is loving caring and compassionate professional and go above and beyond for your furbabies. They take the time and explain the best treatment options for your babies and will never do unnecessary treatments to nickel and dime you out of money and will work with you on a payment plan to best fit your needs. It's comforting and great knowing they're truly for the life and health of your beloved family member and not about money. I truly felt like I was apart of their family.

We only come here to get the dogs nails clipped and for the free (Town) rabies shots (our mutt really didn't need a lot of medical care).Yet, when Scooter started to go into some kind of fit, we brought him--Dr. Elizabeth Merz and at least three of her kind staff stayed open late on a Friday to see us. They sent us home with a lot of information, some medication, a bit of hope, and told us to call in the morning.When Scooter didn't get better, we brought him back to put him down. They could not have been kinder to us or Scooter. Their prices were not outrageous, either. Very clean, great staff, too.

tremendously. They are thorough, patient and explain everything to me.
The staff is courteous and do their best to make appoitments for me when needed. The hospital is clean. I like that they are assisting Claws in Closter.
I would highly recommend Cresskill Animal Hospital!!!!!!

I have been using Cresskill Animal Hospital for the past 5 years since moving local to the area. Not only are they fairly priced but their facility is clean. I found so many vet clinics to be dirty and this was such a pleasant change. They always try to get you in for an appointment in a pinch and the staff is always courteous. Love working with Dr. Ilia and Dr. Arns. They are honest and work with integrity above and beyond the norm. They truly love and care for your animals. Being greeted by Pat and Karen at the front desk during the day is always a pleasure Charlie the office manager is a sweetheart and a shout out to Candace, Amanda, Erica and all the rest of the staff who have helped me and my husband and I care for our 9 dogs and 3 rabbits. Great office hours for those who work. Can't say enough!

I have been using their services for my nine dogs and three rabbits for 5+ years since moving to town. All the dr's are professional. I love the fact that Dr. Jaime Elia knows all my dogs and their specific health concerns. She is knowledgeable and always follows up on all important iszues personally. And Dr. Arns is fabulous with small pets. She is gentle and caring. The staff are all fabulous! They also offer dog grooming and kennel services.

I am a long time devotee of Cresskill Animal Hospital. I wish I had written this review years ago... when I had healthy pets that just needed shots and annuals and boarding. But when my six and a half year old Rottweiler Chloe became severely injured and ill my daughters and I made the painful decision to have Dr. Arns put her to sleep. That sad day was yesterday. Thank you to the staff of Cresskill for the love and affection you always showed Chloe... I was so touched by the compassion you showed my family yesterday... the hugs...the tears... the gentle voices... Chloe always loved coming there... thank you for the care you gave her...she's in a better place.

Lets face it - Vets are expensive!...Staff is very nice and caring...Can say same of Dr's as well...They don't alarm you and start running up unnecessary charges...Office hours are very good as well.....

As someone who does rescue work and has worked with many dogs and multiple vets, this is NOT a good one anymore. We have been taking our dog there for 14 years, but once the hospital became part of Vetcor chain vets, their policies have changed. Obviously, vets are a business, but now the hospital is pursuing policies that are NOT in pets' best interests. Requiring animals to have a Bordatella booster every 6 months is absolutely absurd and unhealthy, especially in an older dog. You wouldn't continuously vaccinate your child for measles every six months would you? (the concept is the same; you don't need to boost every 6 months- this s purely to make money). Shots are the easiest and quickest ways for vets to make money. I just find that the ""care"" is no longer directed at your animal's best interests, but instead at putting more money into the corporation's pockets. We will NO longer be going here.

They sent us home with a lot of information, some medication, a bit of hope, and told us to call in the morning.When Scooter didn't get better, we brought him back to put him down. They could not have been kinder to us or Scooter. Their prices were not outrageous, either. Very clean, great staff, too.

I have had dogs for most of my life. I only wish I had found Dr. Elia and her group earlier. This is the best, most caring Vet group I have ever used. I highly reccomend them to everyone.

The staff is courteous and do their best to make appoitments for me when needed. The hospital is clean. I like that they are assisting Claws in Closter.
I would highly recommend Cresskill Animal Hospital!!!!!!

I have been using Cresskill Animal Hospital for the past 5 years since moving local to the area. Not only are they fairly priced but their facility is clean. I found so many vet clinics to be dirty and this was such a pleasant change. They always try to get you in for an appointment in a pinch and the staff is always courteous. Love working with Dr. Ilia and Dr. Arns. They are honest and work with integrity above and beyond the norm. They truly love and care for your animals. Being greeted by Pat and Karen at the front desk during the day is always a pleasure Charlie the office manager is a sweetheart and a shout out to Candace, Amanda, Erica and all the rest of the staff who have helped me and my husband and I care for our 9 dogs and 3 rabbits. Great office hours for those who work. Can't say enough!

I love the fact that Dr. Jaime Elia knows all my dogs and their specific health concerns. She is knowledgeable and always follows up on all important iszues personally. And Dr. Arns is fabulous with small pets. She is gentle and caring. The staff are all fabulous! They also offer dog grooming and kennel services.

I am a long time devotee of Cresskill Animal Hospital. I wish I had written this review years ago... when I had healthy pets that just needed shots and annuals and boarding. But when my six and a half year old Rottweiler Chloe became severely injured and ill my daughters and I made the painful decision to have Dr. Arns put her to sleep. That sad day was yesterday. Thank you to the staff of Cresskill for the love and affection you always showed Chloe... I was so touched by the compassion you showed my family yesterday... the hugs...the tears... the gentle voices... Chloe always loved coming there... thank you for the care you gave her...she's in a better place.

Lets face it - Vets are expensive!...Staff is very nice and caring...Can say same of Dr's as well...They don't alarm you and start running up unnecessary charges...Office hours are very good as well.....

As someone who does rescue work and has worked with many dogs and multiple vets, this is NOT a good one anymore. We have been taking our dog there for 14 years, but once the hospital became part of Vetcor chain vets, their policies have changed. Obviously, vets are a business, but now the hospital is pursuing policies that are NOT in pets' best interests. Requiring animals to have a Bordatella booster every 6 months is absolutely absurd and unhealthy, especially in an older dog. You wouldn't continuously vaccinate your child for measles every six months would you? (the concept is the same; you don't need to boost every 6 months- this s purely to make money). Shots are the easiest and quickest ways for vets to make money. I just find that the ""care"" is no longer directed at your animal's best interests, but instead at putting more money into the corporation's pockets. We will NO longer be going here.
