I'd check out "Dr Reddy" and his license. The turnover in this hospital is unreal, he is verbally abusive to his staff and has worked in at least 4 different animal hospitals in 7 years. this is the best animal hospital out there. the doctor and staff is so nice and considerate and take their time on each animal. they do whatever they can to make your pet better. it is reasonably priced for what needs to be done to your animal. they treat your pet with respect and will go to lengths for what needs to be done to your pet. highly recommend!!! I took my 10 month old puppy to Dr. Reddy for neutering and I personally think they are a caring bunch of people. My pup was in at 8 AM on the day of his procedure, and they kept me updated on the process every couple of hours. Picked him up at 4 that evening and I was sent home with clear instructions on how to take care of him. The doctor is great and easily accessible over the phone after hours, even if you call about a minor problem. The front staff was great too. Amazing! They fit me in last minute on St. Patrick's Day, and they were SO helpful! The young woman who took my call and checked me in was also the assistant in the examination with the doctor, and she was truly wonderful. So kind, so helpful, so knowledgeable. This vet is a small office with just one doctor and about 4 female employees. They are all great and all of our experiences at this office have been wonderful. They techs are extremely compassionate and take their time to explain everything. And the girls working at the front are friendly and very informative. I travel over 30 minutes to get to The Denville Animal Hospital. Dr. Reddy is knowledgeable and warm. His front end staff is also wonderful, I must have called the poor girl in the morning 10 times when my poor Gary was ill and she was always helpful, polite and informative. I have 3 malteses....and one of them has a cruciate leg injury that happened 4 years ago when we lived in Iowa. He had surgery then and implants were inserted, he began to heal and we moved on. Fast forward 4 1/2 years later, and little Scrappy developed an issue with this same leg where he began limping and what appeared to be an infection was present. At this time, we had moved back to NJ and found Dr Reddy at the Denville Animal Hospital who started treating this issue. He did another surgery and we thought the problem was solved but the real problem finally appeared which was rejection - rejection of the cruciate implants themselves. We took little Scrappy back to Iowa to the doctor who did the initial surgery and we had the implants removed. Upon returning from IA, he suffered a complication and had to have a drain put in, which Dr Reddy did, on his day off no less! Both doctors worked in tandem to get this right for little Scrappy and I am happy to report that he is on the mend! I cannot thank Dr Reddy enough for all of his help with our precious little Scrappy.....we cannot claim success without giving some of the credit to him! His care and compassion for our dog and for us has been phenomenal. I highly recommend Dr Reddy to be your pet's vet - he is just the best! Read Less

This is the worst animal hospital I have ever been to. If you are a responsible, pet owner you will be horrified. My 6 yr old morkie was ill so I panicked and googled the closest animal hospital which was this one. She was vomiting and having bloody diarrea. Upon entering this facility they were nice until I met the vet. He didn't lay a hand on my dog until after he ordered $500 worth of tests and bloodwork thank god. During this time the vet tech met with me and told me how socially awful the vet was and how this was his side job that he also owned a restaraunt. During our convo, the computer exploded with a few sparks that came close to me and my dog. She was diagnosed with a serious diagnosis of pancreatitis which requires a hospital stay after my research. He gave her some fluid and naseuau meds and sent her home with me to return in the morning to be admitted. like a normal dog owner I panicked, googled his reviews and subsequently was up all night watching her to make sure she was breathing. Read the reviews they are terrifying which is why the website is probably down. I picked up the bloodwork results the next morning and went to my regular vet Thank god. My dog was very ill, malnourished and sick. My dog is now fully recovered because I did not stick with this vet. I care about all animals please do not go here. Call any other vet. I took my 4-pound Yorkie here to get neutered. The staff was kind and prices were very clear and reasonable. My experience at many vets has been that there are always "hidden fees" that you find out about after the fact. Not at Denville Animal Hospital. They were genuinely kind to my dog and you could tell they had a love for animals. I felt very comfortable leaving him there for 10 hours to get surgery. They were also very flexible with scheduling which is important to me since I work 8:00AM-5:30PM, Monday-Friday. We are thrilled with the care and service our sweet Zoe received. Dr.Cheenepalli was very gentle, caring, and thorough during the visit. Our one son had taken his dog, who has since passed, to them and recommended them and one of our other sons recently got a puppy and has been taking him there and they are both so happy with the staff and Drs. Dr Cheenapalli is an extremely competent and compassionate vet. I never feel rushed, and he explains everything in full. This establishment is unprofessional and their boarding services are inconsistently priced.  When asked they to see the kennel area it was denied and they will not allow you to view the area where dogs board.  My dog has been returned smelly, dirty, had an eye infection an on another occassion came back with kennel cough.  Their kennel staff has very high turn over.I would not recommend this location. My yorkie needed dental surgery so I took him to Dr. Cheenepalli. He gave a thorough evaluation and took his time explaining and answering any questions i had. He was very engaging with my dog and very caring, like his office staff. After the surgery, Dr C explained everything that he had done with pictures of before and after. We brought our one-year-old cat in to this office for lethargy and inappetence which developed into a slight fever and constipation. Dr. Cheenapalli quickly diagnosed her with wet FIP, a terminal disease that cannot be solidly diagnosed without autopsy. The diagnosis was based on the fact that our new kitten carried the coronavirus. He offered no advice or treatment of any kind. He sent us home with a cat struggling to breathe, telling us this was just part of "what we talked about" (FIP).We brought her for a second opinion, and, in Dr. Cheenapalli's defense, they, too, thought it was FIP. However, this new vet attempted to treat her with steroids and antibiotics, and, 3 months later, our cat is now back to her normal and wonderful self (something that does not happen with wet FIP). If we had trusted Dr. Cheenapalli, our beloved young cat would be dead. It is presumed that she had severe pneumonia and not FIP. I do not recommend this office for anyone, anywhere, ever. Read Less

Our dog recently fell ill after eating small plastic toys. These toys were blocking her small intestine. She wasn't eating or drinking. We took her to an animal emergency room that wanted to charge a ridiculous amount of money to help save our dog. That same place suggested we put her to sleep. We didn't know what to do. My children cried worrying about the fate of our special family member. The caring doctors and staff at Denville Animal Hospital were the answer to our prayers. They immediately made an appointment to see the dog and she was operated on that same day. The allowed to visit the dog while she stayed there for overnight observation. After our dog was discharged Dr. Cheenepalli made several calls home to check in on our precious little dog. I read the other review and cannot believe they went to the same vet. We have taken our pets there several times and have always received good/sound diagnoses and excellent medical care with appropriate follow up. I would recommend the vet to anyone without hesitation, and we wouldn't take our pets anywhere else. We've taken them there for everything from routine care to genuine emergencies. The vet and his staff are so loving and caring with our pets, and very communicative with us. We love Denvillle Animal Hospital. Read Less

This place is not for anyone that has a pet with serious health issues, I own 3 cats, 2 that needed routine care. Was adequate, but expensive. I was remiss in not getting my third cat in for wellness exam. A 3 yo male with the happiest disposition and bounding energy, I planned on 'next week'. 2 weeks ago, he developed slight gagging similar to hairball cough. 3 days later he had an extremely rapid decline, and within an hour was barely breathing. Brought him here, and was told situation "serious" He was given steroids and I was told he would need to stay. 2 hours later we were told he was 60% better and come and pick him up. Was told they had done blood work,  gave him the steroids and we would "wait and see" when results came back on Tues.  to determine what was going on. This was Sat. Dr. C provided his cell # and said to text him as needed. Brought this beloved cat home and watched his labored breathing until I could not take it anymore. Tex ted Dr. C., pleaded with him to call me. He texted back # of emergency vet. I texted back did not think cat could tolerate transport, begged him to please call. He would not respond. Put cat in carrier at midnight for trip to Fairfield emergency. They immediately put cat in O2 and in less than10 mins. said was likely result of congenital cardiomyopathy and terminal. Ended up with feline cardiologist which I could have declined, but something I needed to do to be sure there really was nothing I could do. Cat stayed at vet till stable and I brought him home where he died a week later. Dr C never called that day or any other.  It is my belief he had no idea what was wrong with cat and just sent him home to die a struggling death. Read Less

Unfortunately this office and their policies and procedures are a mess. We brought our beloved family dog to Dr Moses for years and were extremely overcharged but did not want to change because all of her records were there. We then went to the new Doctor who carriedon with the same outrageous vet bills.  A 5 minute visit for an ear infection$300 !  Our dog recently passed away after living past her life expectancyof 16 1/2 yrs old.  We were devastated and decided to adopt a rescue dog. When the rescue organization company called for a reference Denville Animal Hospital  said --"oh, she was only here 3 times in all these years" and the rescue organization denied our application. When I called livid to complain , they admitted they made a mistake as apparently their records are all messed up and said I charged a credit card 3 times trying to insinuate that is how many times I brought my dog. I WOULD NEVER BRING ANY ANIMAL TO THIS RUN DOWN , UNORGANIZEDestablishment and feel sick that I wasted so many years and dollarsbeing so unhappy. We've known Dr. Cheenapalli for 4 years -- we moved to Brooklyn from NJ and still take our 16-year old dog the hour-long drive to see Dr. Cheenapalli for regular check ups. He is empathetic, accurate and cost-effective. I have run a nonprofit animal shelter in the past and taken care of a quirky, sickly chihuahua-mix for over a decade so I feel my input is fairly valid. Disappointed.We were loyal customers of Dr. Moses and were disappointed with him when he sold the practice and retired without letting us know. We found out that he had retired when we made an appointment on a Saturday morning and the place was empty. Usually the place was packed on Saturday mornings, but it was empty. The new doctor was hard to understand. We just did not get a good feeling about him. Unfortunately after many years of going here, we had to go to a new vet. Read Less
