I am so glad I managed to find this place. The staff here are all amazing. The receptionists here answer the phone with a lot of heart, they don't try to rush you and really listen to what the issues are with your pet. I was able to get an appointment same day for my cat who had eaten something he wasn't supposed to and showed symptoms of a blockage in his system. They are very accommodating. Read Less

I used this practice 35 years ago with my very first dog. When I recently got 2 new dogs, I looked to see if they were still in business. The ownership has changed since then, but the service is still outstanding! Dr. Frantz and the entire staff are wonderful to work with! They truly have your pet's best interest at heart. The doctors get back to you quickly if you have questions and never recommend unnecessary treatments just to make a few bucks. They have convenient hours and get you in quickly for appointments. i can't say enough about how much of a pleasure it is to have them care for my fur babies and I recommend them to anyone looking for a great vet! I brought my new puppy in for a "meet the Doctor" visit and my second round of shots. We met Dr. Roby.  She gave helpful feeding and crating tips.  A few days later my puppy had a 2 day bought with a very stinky stomach issue. The wonderful front desk staff said it was common and to put her on a bland diet which worked for a day.  A couple days later it started again so  I brought her in and Dr. Roby said she was not too worried and told me to wait it out and continue the diet.  I was pleasantly surprised I was only charged about half of the price for a normal office visit.  It was billed as a short visit.  The staff seems very empathetic and sympathetic and all seem to have a true love for the pets that come in.  Anyway, Winnie digestion issue straightened itself out as promised! I've only been here twice but both times were positive experiences. I came the first time about a year ago from my friends recommendation. She had brought her cat here for years and said she never had any problems. I've brought my small dog here for an annual physical/shots and for a medical emergency. Very friendly and accommodating staff. When we had the emergency, it was already late afternoon. Luckily they managed to squeeze my dog in for a visit and took care of the problem. Very happy with my experience at Fanwood Animal Hospital.  All of the staff and doctors were very professional and accommodating.  I walked in with my labrador Annie when after we discovered a red bump on her belly.  Annie wasn't feeling well and gets shy of new surroundings and the staff and doctors made it very accommodating for her.  Annie ended up having an infection diagnosed, antibiotics were prescribed, and she was back to normal in about a week. I saw on their website a senior wellness check for older animals. As my beagle Jaxson is almost 11, I thought this would be a good idea, particularly since my vet at the time didn't recommend anything like this nor had they done blood work in quite some time. Dr. Frantz was very helpful with pursuing certain tests based on the blood work, such as testing for Cushing's, and treating Jaxson's current health issues without ever being pushy. My anxiety was through the roof, but they were able to ease my mind with their professionalism. I cannot recommend them enough. I have been taking my pets to Fanwood Animal Hospital for at least 15 years and have always been happy with the treatment that my dogs and cats have received there. I have found the vets and all of the staff to be very compassionate people. They treat my pets as if they were their own and I never feel rushed in an appointment. Last week when I was there and saw Dr. Franz with our new puppy, I was thinking on my way home how I wished I could find a pediatrician for my son who is as compassionate and thorough a doctor as Dr. Franz is for my dog. The staff is truly caring and, should your pet have an important issue, will do their best to have him or her seen that same day. As far as Dr. Franz, well, I can't say enough about this good gentleman. His concern for the animals shines through in everything he does. Our cat was always very fearful of "the vet" and would react accordingly when in his office. Dr. Franz' patience with her was simply without equal. It was never hard to see how much he cares, loves and is concerned about the animals in his care. During our cat's final days, this concern was never more evident. My rescue dog, Bambi, has been a patient of Dr. David Frantz and Dr. Rachel Roby since 2006. Bambi has received the absolute best care and diagnostic services. Dr. Frantz has diagnosed physical irregularities and/or disease, has performed surgery when needed and referred specialists when necessary; he has been fully engaged and supportive in her rehabilitation and palliative care. His staff is caring, empathetic, engaged, and very helpful when scheduling appointments for her and dispensing necessary medications. While owning a dog in her declining years can be very stressful to an owner, knowing your veterinarians are there to assist you in general or emergency health issues is tremendously comforting.
