I've been thinking about leaving a review for Cameron for a long time. I think local pet owners need to know the truth. We used to take our cat here, because it was local, so therefore easy, and they had such good reviews on here. At first I was charmed by the vintage vibe and small-town feel. But beyond the hard-to-get appointments, extremely long wait time once you are there, and very uncomfortable for owners and pets waiting room (there are little stalls, like a horse stable), they did the unthinkable... I knew there was something wrong with my cat, and I kept taking her in for checkups. They sent me to the animal hospital for her seizures. While there, the hospital found she had diabetes (Cameron never found that, the hospital did). I thought- ok, that's not too bad, she'll live for several more years. And I took her back to Cameron for a follow-up. Now, because she's "feisty" they never really examined her, at any visit. I originally had Dr. Miller, and then she clearly said she didn't want to deal with my cat and foisted us off on the other vet. They took basic vitals and glanced at her but that's it. I knew she still had something else going on, so I demanded her medical records (which they were shocked at. They had to slowly print them all out, and kept asking where I was taking her). I took her to amazing Dr. Daly at Caldwell (VMC), which is beautiful, modern facility with a caring office staff. Dr. Daly immediately looked into her mouth (even though my cat is feisty, because, well, that's the job of a vet!) and diagnosed terminal oral cancer. Of course I took her to a hospital and all that. But she did have cancer and died two months later. Explain to me why Cameron couldn't have examined her for the years I took her there? And yes, she was feisty, but I know the stressors at Cameron (smells, confined spaces, proximity to dogs) didn't help! Caldwell VMC, where I am now taking my second cat, is leagues better. They sent me a sympathy card when my cat passed, and my new cat loves Dr. Daly as well. I don't care if you're local, do better by your pets and take them to a better vet. Read Less
