How does one have a terrible experience without even making it to this location. This particular location is a joke. I have been on the highest wellness plan for my 15 year old pup for over a year. I have always gone to the cherry hill location. My dog was scheduled to be seen today a cherry hill and unfortunately the clinician had a personal emergency and was unable to see her. I checked to see if I could get her into another location on the Banfield app and scheduled for a 3pm appt.At the Moorestown location. I scheduled this appt at noon. I received a call at 215, saying that they were not sure what happened but I had been double booked and could not be seen. I asked when there next weekend appt was and the woman told me that she could get me in next Saturday, but only as a drop off and it would take 3 hours. I explained that I have never had to do a drop off because my dog is old and passes out. She explained that they were unable to accommodate my dog because this wasn't listed in her chart. Clearly I'm not making this up. Everything happens for a reason. Clearly I dodge the bullet on this one. Read Less

Don't waste your money coming here. They can't wait to sign you up for a "Wellness Plan" (which has as much hidden fees as Comcast) just to never be able to use it. It says "hospital", but it's more like a first aid center when your kid falls at summer camp. Which they'll happily be able to tell you "we aren't an emergency room" which is fine, but what is the purpose of a wellness plan if your dog gets sick the wait time is a week out? I have had to take my dog to a different facility about 3 times now. Even at other local Banfield's not just this one are also always completely booked. It would make more sense to stop accepting people's money without actually having any appointments available. At a whopping $60 a month I think all I have is flea and tick repellent to show for It. What they don't tell you after charging you each month is that the chances of actually evening seen are slim to none. Thanks but no thanks. Read Less

Had my first visit here because we forgot to give our dog heartworm meds for a few months so we wanted to be extra cautious and have a heartworm test before we resumed. Had their "free" first time physical (our dog had a physical a few months ago but this was "required" for the heartworm test and we thought we would try them out since we live so close). Paid the $40 heartworm test which was negative. Went back the following week to buy heartworm meds and the tech (Alex, she was lovely) mentioned how she had used the 6 month heartworm injection in the past so she didn't forget to give the pill. I said I had no idea that an injection was an option. She said it would require another office visit ($50 physical exam plus the $50 injection). I asked if she could please mention to her manager that we were not given that option the week before at our appointment and would they be kind enough to waive the fee since we should have been told at the initial visit and absolutely would have paid for the injection at that time. The manager (Rebecca) sent Alex out to tell me no they "could not" waive the physical fee with some insultingly ridiculous explanation how the "computer won't let them."  Rebecca didn't even bother showing her face and offering an apology for Dr. Craft not reviewing our heartworm med options the week before when it was LITERALLY the only reason for our visit. We will not be going back. Read Less

I've never had a bad experience @ Banfield Hospital. Had it not been for the v et & the staff my dog would've died. When I took her there, her sugars were off the chart along with Keto Acidosis & Pancreatitis with a UTI. They all reacted in a quick & professional manner making my dog's health issue their priority. Some time after that, the original vet had left the practice and another had taken his place. The new vet maintained the same bedside manner & care for my dog. They still monitor her health & it's not for the money, sure I pay a lot more for the insurance because it also has to cover her diabetes & do I end up with little money left over each month, yes, but it's worth it & you can't put a price on a life. I've been told by several friends to get a second opinion & I tell them every time that it's not an option because 1 mistake by another vet can cost my dog her life & I won't chance it. I wouldn't change from Moorestown Banfield to any other vet even if they gave me free lifetime treatment for my dog. If it wasn't for Moorestown Banfield, I wouldn't get to wake up every morning with a fury little dog licking my nose. Thank you Moorestown Banfield for everything you've done for me & my dog, Puppy !!! Read Less

I love this place. First of all, I have been bringing my dog, Ozzy, to this location for over 11 years. He is a difficult dog and can be nasty, and Jen, the vet tech, handles him beautifully. I have the wellness plan, and have saved a small fortune. His comprehensive visit yesterday cost me $34.96 because I have them administer a Heartworm shot, as opposed to the chewable tablets which I always forget! I pay $35/month, and he gets all of his shots, three exams, his teeth cleaned, and bloodwork each year. I went to a different vet with a previous dog, and every time I took him, I was spending upwards of $200! I agree that they change vets too often - I have always been pleased with his care, but I would like it if he could see the same doctor consistently.  That being said, Jen always greets us in the lobby and comments on his general condition. He has been through a terrible bout of skin allergies, and we seem to have them under control. It makes me feel as if I am valued as a client. There is another Jen who works the front desk, as well as Rebecca, and both are always very pleasant and friendly. Ozzy needs allergy medication refills monthly, and if their location is out of it, they will always call around to see if another Banfield has it. If they do have it, they are always happy to set it aside for me to pick up. I will continue to recommend this location to anyone and everyone! Read Less

I saw Patricia Dineen for my visit because the actual vet was unavailable. My dog had her weight and temperature taken as well as her heartbeat. All of which my husband, a doctor, could have done at home. Patricia took a look at my dogs tick bite-previously most of the tick was taken out at night time by my husband. She said there's nothing she can do about whatever is left in there unless she is sleeping. I know that costs more money and she said she can give me ointment. I told her I can get the same ingredients of medication over the counter for a cheaper price. I asked why I'm paying $50.00 for a 10 minute visit when nothing actually got done to resolve the issue. She said, "Well I did do an exam on her." No she didn't. Everything she did, I do at my own home. Patricia needs to learn how to consult. She could have easily come out and said there's nothing that can really be done and let me make the decision of whether or not I still want my dogs weight, and temperature taken. I am in a very high position myself and when someone has a simple question, I don't charge them. I just advise/consult them and that's the end of it. Banfield has lost my business and this is just the beginning of my complaint. Next, I will be going to the Internet. Everyone will know that Patricia is unhelpful and it's obvious she is not compassionate by the way her tone was towards me. It's highly advisable that Patricia learn to explain ingredients and why something can't be done instead of stumbling words and looking at a customer with a stone cold face. Enough on this website-I will ensure everyone knows that this sort of practice is unacceptable. Consult-Advise-Educate. Not, Weight-Temperature-Heart-rate-$50.00. Read Less

RIDICULOUS! made an anointment for my puppy 6 weeks old and refused to give him shots because " hes to young" when my other location does it, and if you knew he was to young why would you let me make an appt for shots?!?!?!? Was more concerned with " how cute he is" rather than checking to see if there were any problems or concern area. I had asked about ordering a specific heart-worm med i prefer and they tried to tell me that it was more beneficial to buy the two separate ones they offer. I have nothing against suggestive selling but when i tell you 6 times i don't wanna buy the crap you use i want specific meds give it up. wouldn't even give me a script. I have two puppy one now 8 weeks and the other 9 months. we chose banfield because out oldest went to a location in SC and it was FANTASTIC, we love it, so we thought wed do the same for him and we very much so regret it.We plan to bred them when they are older enough and they had the nerve to tell me that It is a bad choice not to get them both fixed because most of their puppies are just going to be put down anyways cause the Philly euthinazation rate is very high. I don't care, i don't live there! Then proceeded to carry on and on about how not getting then fixed is bad for us, and dealing with puppies is a mess and i cant even remember what else. Your my vet, your suppose to say OK, well when the time comes well make are there both in great health and everything is perfect. I asked about some dandruff i noticed him getting and all they said was its poor shampoo, and now 2 weeks later he possibly has mange( and ill be taking him to a different location, because this place was dirty). And to top everything off they wouldn't even give him his de-wormer. she put it in a bag and said here it is you can give it to him! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! this is why i pay you monthly, do your job. This Moorestown facility needs a serious education on compassion, and communication skills both will benefit the pets and owners. Cycling through staff adds to the stress of the facility. They need to keep at least one knowledgeable person for more then 3 months. For a medical facility this location fails in all Patient categories. The past visit was the last straw, we are cancelling our wellness program, retrieving our records and taking our cat to the local animal hospital where our other 2 cats are cared for with consistent, compassionate, competent, and professional care. There is no personal service at this location, always different or inconsiderate Doctors. They never take the time to review the pet history before entering the room, thus asking the same questions 3-4 times or not knowing what the follow-up visit is for. I feel like a retail customer in a dollar store, every time we take our pet in for a visit someone is always trying to UP-Sell another service. I feel this location is more interested in sales quotas than pet care. Read Less

This is the absolute WORST animal hospital ever! I have had nothing but problem after problem with them! The appointment times are a joke, you have a 10am appointment and you won't be seen til at least 11 or 11:30am. The staff at the front desk have horrible attitudes and customer service skills. I have an epileptic dog and because of their error he spent 2 nights in an emergency animal hospital and costed us almost $1,000! There's 3 vets there but apparently only one of them is a real vet and can perscribe medications. Now my dog has to wait a week for the one qualified vet to come back to call in his perscription, which is very dangerous and could cause him to spend more time in the animal hospital! We have transferred out of that banfield because they have been absent minded with my dog one too many times! I recommend you stay away from there and find a better, more qualified vet. Read Less

Read Less
