MLAH is a very well run animal hospital. I have had to take both of my dogs to the emergency after hours service and they we always very compassionate and understanding. When it's such a stressful time knowing your going to the animal hospital that already has the history of your pet is comforting. One thing I would like to add though is it is expensive.. and at times the prices are ridiculous. But I've had pretty much all good experiences other wise. Thanks MLAH! Read Less

We brought our precious Chase to this facility the beginning of May.  What we thought was a stomach virus was we were told originally, that he was in DKA and severely ill requiring intensive care. In order to leave him to be treated, I was confronted with the need to finance 75% of the estimated cost of his care over a few days which was 7,072.07.  I was at that time told that there were loan options available to me and that is what I decided to do.  I do understand this is a business but it just seemed so cold at the time and I have to wonder what happens if you are not approved.  To make a long story short, there were other issues found that Chase was dealing with and the decision was made to have him put to sleep to end his pain and suffering. This was the same day we brought him in. Dr. Janson, I do thank you for your kindness but I am still not over the way this was handled when we first went to the emergency hospital. Read Less

Nothing like bringing a dog in and having them take the dog without providing any details besides they want to keep it warm. Waiting for the "specialist" to come for an hour (so far) as the "Doctor" has seen two different patients across the room while the staff wonders around aimlessly through the halls. No one is checking in on us and it's to the point where we have to go say something because no attention had been paid for this long. These people are definitely not animals lovers. Posting with no intention on changing my review because there's nothing these pathetic people can do at this point. Read Less

Used to be great. My family and I have taken multiple dogs, cats, and guinea pigs here for nearly two decades. Unfortunately, administrative quality has tanked as they've grown. Our most recent visit wasn't booked properly and the vet no-showed to what we booked with the front desk because the front desk didn't enter it properly. That's after the front desk associate had a massive difficulty grasping the pretty simple concept that my family has two addresses for two different branches of the family where different animals live. This weekend I called in and left a detailed voicemail for a medication refill - no response. Followed up today, and when they filled the prescription one medicine was filled to a 90 day supply and one was filled to a 60 day supply despite both being requested for a 90 day supply. Apparently they neither check their voicemail nor have he ability to do very basic multiplication. I'll be looking for a new vet. They're clearly more focused on making a ton of money to spend on expanding the practice than maintaining any semblance of customer service or well trained, intelligent staff. Read Less

I took my Yorkie there on 3/3/19 early AM for a problem with itching and a rash.  My Yorkie was stressed and did not sleep.  The service was slow. The doctor came into the room to discuss her plan of action and advised that a the technician will be in to give my dog a Beneryl shot.  It took the technician 30-35 minutes to come to the room to give the shot. I had time to watch a tv show on my phone while waiting.  Got the shot and left with no senior discount as the sign read. ( I took a picture of that also). Took my active 4 year old Yorkie home he had a reaction to the shot and was crying and acting weird and had diarrhea. Called back to the Animal hospital was told to bring my dog back. Waited as they were busy. They gave him another shot antibiotics and gave me steroid pills to give me. My dog is worse. I took pictures of my dog rolling in the snow to soothe his itching body after 2 visits on 3/3/19.  Won't eat and he is wandering around the house, hiding under anything he could find and still scratching.  Was charged again another $175 to make my dog worse. Was told if no change bring him back --why ???? so they can take all of my social security check and my dog is still sick. No way!  Lots of traffic there and the couple across from me brought there dog back there again because she was not getting better. WOW, a similar story.  This is my true story I took video and pictures today of my dog. He used to be such a loving, happy, always on my lap just wanted to be loved and to give love to all.  I pray that he will get better and back to himself.  No more crying, shaking, diarrhea, no scratching and no more bumps.  Please. This is my visit here, I usually take my dog to Columbus. But I had to make this short-notice visit to MLAH, the staff was welcoming and friendly.  The place is huge, inside and outside...their footprint is 16 acres. As you drive up, you'll see a couple of longhorns, cows, horses, and other livestock. They care for domesticated and exotic animals. Also, if you are in need of mobile service...they even have a vehicle to make house calls! Currently, they are undergoing renovation, don't mind the tarps and rearranged furniture.  They provide a complimentary coffee, with a K-cup machine at the coffee station. The interior is large and is inviting with a large tree with a relaxing waterfall fountain in the middle of the room, next to the multi-station front counter (along with free doggie treats). The right side of the area looks to have been recently renovated and divided into three waiting areas.  I like how the walls are decorated with photos and names of the pets which are patients there.  Also, they have a rotating slideshow of pet photos.  My dog was seen by the technician Rebecca and the Vet was Dr. Rose. They were great with my dog, as I tried my best to explain the issue and thorough diagnosis.  The rest of the staff was helpful, patient, and friendly during our visit which lasted a few hours. Their price points a little expensive but since it was not a scheduled visit, it is considered as an emergency. I truly appreciated that fact that the offer a few types of discounts, so don't forget to ask. Lastly, under the circumstances...there is no price on the peace of mind of our furry family members! After noticing some seizure like symptoms with my dog, my vet friend suggested I make an neurology appointment with Dr. Cohen at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. Scheduling was easy, they were able to get me an appointment the same week that I called. Prior to the appointment I worked with the neurology liaison to make sure I was ready and prepared. Driving up to Mount Laurel Animal Hospital was amazing. Before you reach the main building you're treated to some Long Horns, Pigs and other animals walking around. The building itself is currently under construction, but still accessible. What's done so far is great. My appointment with Dr. Cohen went excellent. He spent plenty of time with me, giving a thorough exam of my dog and did his best to make her as comfortable as possible.  Dr. Cohen went over the various treatment options, and was conscious of costs and affordability throughout our conversations.  I'm looking forward to working with Dr. Cohen, and highly recommend him for any pet neurological needs! My vet referred me to Red Bank after my dog developed a severe infection in her eye. Red bank has specialists veterinarians who actually work on Friday's and they were able to see me same day. When I arrived I was seen within 5 minutes which was nice considering I was so worried at the time. The prices really weren't that bad for an animal hospital. They are higher than a traditional vet but that's to be expected. Anyway, Dr. Davis was amazing and was very thorough with Cookie's eye exam and explained everything that was going on in detail. My first visit here with Dr. Haymaker was very good but this place has turned out to severely disappoint me.  The other veterinarians I have seen here -- once for a simple rash -- did not impress me in the least. They could not even diagnose a simple rash and certainly did not make very much effort to do so.  I was seen by an "emergency" specialist and apparently it was too much trouble for the dermatology specialist to even step into the room to look at the rash.  Then recently, my cat was in excruciating pain and vomiting and despite tons of blood work and x-rays I did not get anything resembling a diagnosis.  The doctors did not explain why certain tests had to be done or why, or which should be done first.   They charged me a fee to expedite some of the tests, then later told me the did not.  Test results were not given in good time.  It was a horrible confusing experience, I did not get any feeling of confidence in the vets, there were two different vets who looked at her and they did not communicate well with each other.   They conducted certain tests in ways I did not authorize, did not give her pain meds, and seemed most concerned with padding the bill.  An extra $500+ for the cat to have a blood pressure cuff for 3 days in the hospital.  I guess they think all people are stupid.  Their charges are insane, and you will feel like you are caught in a hurricane with all the activity and people running around and contradicting each other.   Be forewarned:  Their hospital overnight charges without anything else but the cage !!! are $240 a night.  For comparison, the next animal hospital I called charges $35.  Their fees are certainly not justified when you take into consideration there are no niceties, the waiting rooms have folding chairs, the receptionists are often rude and the vets are more concerned about losing their licenses than the comfort of your pet.  Steer clear. We came here today for emergency services for our ailing cat, Leo, on the advice of our regular vet.  From the moment we arrived, the staff at MLAH displayed an unparalleled level of compassion and professionalism. The staff was honest and transparent about Leo's prognosis, our options, and all costs involved. Sadly, we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved boy.  The care we received from Dr. Tom Taney and the staff at MLAH made a very painful time for my family much easier to bear.  Dr. Taney's patient, gentle, and compassionate manner helped ease our broken hearts and gave Leo a warm and loving send-off to the Rainbow Bridge.  My youngest daughter chose not to stay in the room with the rest of my family while Leo took his final breaths. Rather than allow my daughter to sit alone, the receptionist, Becky, brought her behind the front desk and kept her company. It was an incredibly kind gesture and one that truly helped my daughter feel comforted.  I'm so grateful we chose MLAH for Leo's care today, and highly recommend this hospital. Read Less

This place is a life saver! Literally. I picked up my sisters dog because his skin was looking bad and she did not have the means to take care of him. I then came home to my dog with an abscess on his anus. Panicking, I scrambled for a vet near by, but it was a Sunday so most places were closed. I asked a friend who I know that works in the animal world and she referred mt laurel as opposed to the other hospital closer to my house. They greeted us and saw my dogs shortly after i arrived. They were extremely knowledgeable and told us exactly what was going on with both dogs. I felt comfortable and left with antibiotics and steroids to help ease the pain they are/were experiencing. They sent all of the records directly to my vet and he will be seeing them soon! They alleviated all of my frantic pet mother worry and advised me how to properly maintain their conditions until my vet could see them. I would recommend this place to every pet mom and dad! First, I have to say that the place is nice, but it is not the reason I'm giving it a 5 star rating. The reason for this rating is because of two nurses/ assistants that work there. One of the nurses was so kind and made me feel so comfortable. My dog was having eye surgery and she thoroughly explained everything, reached out to me to check on my dog multiple times, and even made another outsourced animal hospital (which had to be used for a needed machine) refund money to me because they way overcharged me. This same nurse went out of her way to help my dog. Another assistant nurse that works here even lent me her own dog carrier case when I was in need. Every time Dr. McDermott saw Oreo, whether it was for an emergency visit in the middle of the night or a well visit when she was doing great, he treated her gently and like she was his own. He is extremely knowledgeable, competent,  honest, and very compassionate.  When she just couldn't fight the illness anymore and we had to let her go, Dr. McDermott gave me peace of mind in knowing that it was the right decision, and he was so kind, patient, and understanding at a very difficult time.  Dr. McDermott was an angel to Oreo - and to us - and we will never forget how well he cared for her.  We highly recommend him and MLAH. I am a relatively new patient to this practice as my two puppies are 8 & 6 months old. In the times I have taken both of them to this practice, the doctors and staff have been extremely helpful. I took my younger puppy there this afternoon and while I was very satisfied with the overall visit and examination, what happened after the appointment is what prompts me to write this review. My puppy slid loose from her leash because she wanted to see the other animals up close. She is an extremely fast shepherd and cannot be caught without coercion. After 5 minutes of chasing her around the parking lot - and praying that she wouldn't run out into the main street - 5 members of the staff came out with leashes and was able to get one on my puppy, to my extreme relief! This clinic is staffed proportionally to the MANY, MANY people who choose to take their beloved pets here. What this amounts to is that every facet of the visit is personal and, most importantly, professional. This, from what I experience, is why I am comfortable taking my pets here. What really mattered to me, on this day though, was the quality of going above & beyond and that's what the staff did helping me outside of their normal work duties. A service with empathy AND professionalism is something you can't put a price tag on. Read Less

We had to bring our dog here one night when she got a deep cut on the pad of her front paw. The staff was great. Took her in right away, and were very helpful and understanding. Since it was an emergency service, and this is pretty much the only only emergency vet hospital in the area, we expected to get hosed on the fees. It wasn't cheap, but it wasn't as bad as we expected, either. Most importantly, they took good care of our family pet and had us out of there in a timely manner. Read Less

Without going into too many details as things still feel fresh, I wanted to publicly thank everyone at MLAH. My dog Sadie was transferred here after a recommendation from my local vet (Continual GI issues that discovered multiple masses and complete loss of appetite). Everyone was courteous, professional and compassionate during a high stress time for me and my pet. The doctors and staff were extremely through in providing information on next steps and treatment options. When it was time for us to say goodbye to Sadie the staff was exceedingly kind and never failed to recognize and respect our feelings. Thank you all for the kindness and care for my girl. Read Less

Doctor was condescending, passive aggressive and downright ignorant. Told me if I didn't do what she told me for my pet I might as well euthanize it right now. She wanted to put a band aid on the issue, not fix it so I didn't agree with her. Highly annoyed that we were there 4 hours and walked away with me knowing the saw thing I came in knowing about my pet. $210.00 later after refusing the other $300 worth of useless guessing game treatment that was way over priced. $135. X-ray on a 25 gram reptile, crazy. Emailed me treatment plan of another patient 8 hours later, not my pets. Felt like it was all about money money after dealing with this place! Went to another place who confirmed my initial diagnosis and gave better treatment plan after Mt. Laurel's overpriced, ignorant, money hungry establishment. Read Less

We first brought our cat Mason here when he was experiencing urinary issues.  After a few more visits, he ended up having to have PU surgery.  He is now under their care for congestive heart failure, and he's being well taken care of.  We liked the treatment he was given so much that we started bringing his sister here too. We have found the staff to be very personable and friendly, and they care about their patients.  Mason is a sweet kitty and has been one of their favorites. They are also helping us to fight our pet insurance company who's trying to deny claims on trumped-up charges.I see a lot of the reviews stating that MLAH is expensive.  While the ER services are pricey, you should keep in mind that they will be more expensive than a regular vet because they operate 24/7 as opposed to a regular vet's M-F 9-5.  Plus, they also have to maintain emergency and specialized equipment that you wouldn't normally find at a vet's office.  So yes, it's expensive, but personnel, supplies, and equipment are expensive. When Livee was well she received the best of care and then when she was diagnosed with Cushings Disease Dr Mankowski and staff went above AND beyond to help us with her testing and care. When she was too ill to be with us any longer they were so supportive and sympathetic...helping us through her loss. There was no doubt when we found Satine we would bring her to MLAH. This is probably one of the best animal hospitals that I have ever been to. To begin: They are a 24-hour establishment. They never shut down and they do not rush anyone. We wound up here because my 17 year old cat had broken her leg, or so we thought. As usual, we rushed over to have her looked at. We were in a room in less than five (5) minutes, and the vet was in the room in less than ten (10). They were informative, supportive, and didn't hide anything from us along the way, even when it turned out the be late-stage cancer. The vet laid out all the options for us, left us to make our decision, and supported us through the whole process. A few days later, we were able to pick up the ashes of our lost one, along with a lovely paw print set, and a lovely poem. They have continued to support us, even though we have only been there once, emailing support, information on support groups, and an offer to put our lost one's name among those that sit out by their pond. There is not enough room on any platform or time in a day for me to completely explain how much I recommend this establishment. Treat your pets like family and give them the best care. The best care, is here. Read Less

Went there for five years. Now I am having all three of my pets go somewhere else. These people are scam artists. They always either give you the worse prognosis, because they want money, or they have so much surgery going on they blow you off. Either way you wait two hours, even if you're a member. They would charge use ER prices, even though we had to wait hours to be seen, and were within the regular member time zones.Recently a vet said he couldn't do anything for our dog, and gave her a week to live. Put her on oxygen, held her for two days. Next week, we had a rude vet, after again waiting two to three hours to see one. She asked if I was listening. She would say "that's what I told you". I don't care if she was up all night doing surgery, she could have been nicer. She gave her the wrong medication for my dog's ulcer. She didn't answer questions (you usually can see a vet for fifteen, ten minutes there at the most). I took my dog to another vet, outside of Mt. Laurel animal hospital. He explained it was the wrong medication they gave her. Gave me something else. Explained that Neosporin in toxic if animals lick it (Mt. Laurel vets just said to put it on my pets, never told me that if they ate it it causes kidney damage). And he didn't charge for a revisit (rude vet wanted me to come back three days later). Honestly, that was the last straw). Also, another vet said my 15 year old Boston Terrier would not live, so don't bother removing the tumor. That was in Nov 2016. It's October 2017 now and the tumor has grown beyond control. I wish I went to a good vet practice earlier. Read Less

STAY AWAY!!  It's unfortunate we live close by and we really liked all the vets there throughout the years.   But what a bunch of scammers.  We felt like they've overcharged in the past but are pets are our children so we looked past the $$. Until last week.  We brought our puppy in on a Friday. He had thrown up a bird wing. The whole thing the first day we got him.  With this his belly and esophagus were sore he wasn't holding food down as well shortness of breath with a contracting stomach.  Scary!! After two X-rays and three hours there the vet told us he had pneumonia and possibly needed surgery on his stomach. We were really worried all night. Morning came we called the vet tech had informed us surgery was not needed and he had a great night and morning eating drinking being a puppy. She also informed us he should be released by early afternoon the vet would call us for an update when she got in at 9.  Six hours later we get a call from a Financial planner about are charges from that accrued from this point. Not a phone call from the vet about my puppy but a phone call about the green!! I'm furious.  We did try to call vet twice through the day but the receptionist informed us she was busy with another dog and would get to us.  When we finally heard from the vet 7 hours 45 min late she continued to inform us she was busy with another dog and hadn't had the chance to call us.  When I told her the financial department had the time to call the vet responding she was aware because she had a meeting with her about our bill prior to call.  The vet also said our puppy was eating and drinking but he seems lethargic so she wants him to stay one more night.  WHAT!!!!  We picked him up against vets recommendation and thank god we did!!!! He was perfectly fine.  Yes tired because he's a puppy and just went through 36 hours of hell.  At this point we don't feel like he even had pneumonia. We really feel robbed of $2,000.00 but thankful we didn't leave him another night of charges. We will never return and we have been going there for 18 years.  I didn't want to give them 1 star! So disappointed. Read Less

All I need to say is Red Bank Animal Hospital.  I wouldn't take a Gold Fish to Mt Laurel Animal Hospital.  I took my Dog there cause he needed Medical Attention Fast.  After paying $2,000 dollars they still didn't figure out what was wrong with my dog.  All they did was Board him and give him an IV and ran Blood work.  I immediately removed him from their care and took him to another Vet.  The other Vet prescribed a round of antibiotics and a cortisone shot.  If I had not took that course of action I honestly believe I would be grieving the loss of my dog.  I felt as though Dr McClain had no compassion for the Animal, talking to her was like hearing a broken record over and over.  I will say this though I did like the Vet techs who discharged my Dog they clearly cared and loved on him while he was there.  All they did was swipe my credit card.  They did nothing for my Dog except keep him hydrated.  I'm very disappointed with the Service and Care that my Dog received.  It's been about 1 week and my Dog is bouncing back.  Day by Day he is improving thanks to Dr Gang at Hartford Animal Hospital.  She is the Best Vet who Cares about the Animal and Not about Racking the Bill up like Mt Laurel Animal Hospital...  I will be in touch about a REFUND...  oh and my dogs name is MEMPHIS KITSON for your records please contact me asap about this matter. My visit on 6/14/16 to Mount Laurel Animal Hospital was an emergency, my 8 year old cat Alex was in distress. She was septic and appeared to be decompensating rapidly. The night crew stabilized her so that a specialist could see her in the am. I got to observe them all and have to say they worked compassionately and expertly together to try and give my girl the best result. Ultimately once it became apparent she wouldn't be able to make it through surgery I had to make the heart wrenching decision to euthanize her. I've spent most of my adult life working in EMS and have to say Alex received excellent care. I've seen a few comments about cost - what I paid and would have paid was nothing compared to the amount of skill and care delivered to my Alex. I forever thankful for their help. I have adopted a 8 week old female kitty from a feral litter a friend rescued and I intend on using Mount Laurel Animal Hospital for Leia's care. This practice is THE BEST bar none.  First of all it is on a farm.  Longhorns, emus, alpacas, pot bellied pigs and other assorted creatures are in abundance before you even walk in the door.  Which is another pleasant surprise...tanks of turtles and other exotics greet you in a large, welcoming waiting room staffed by some of the most caring and friendly front desk staff my husband and I have ever met.  Our first visit was for our 15 year old diabetic cat, Pearl.  Her regular vet was closed. Unfortunately Pearl had developed a blood clot and had to be euthanized.  Dr. Wells cried with us and showed such empathy and compassion that we felt she had known Pearl forever. Our next visit was because our precious cat BlackBerry started sneezing and we had already decided to change practices. We only waited about 10 minutes from arrival until he saw the Vet.   The tech took him to a room, and by the way, you go with your pet, unlike other large practices where they take your pet in the back and you feel like you're in the Twilight Zone until you get him back.  Within minutes Dr. Rose had him diagnosed with a problem common to shelter cats and sent him on his way with meds.  He improved by the next day. And the hospital called to follow up on his recovery.Several months later, because of a medical problem my husband has, we had to have our precious little guy laser front declawed.  Dr. Mankowsky performed the surgery.  We brought him in the night before (at no charge), visited the next day and took him home the following day.  Unfortunately, the little guy didn't want to be confined at home to an empty room and he tore off his bandages and surgical collar and wouldn't use the paper litter Mr. Laurel provided.  We took him back on a Saturday night at about 10 pm and Dr. Mankowsky and co-owner of the practice, Dr. Torre, rebandaged him and sent us home with an enclosed  crate large enough for a St. Bernard so he would be comfortable during the few days of confinement.  Well BlackBerry, our normally sweet angel tried to bat at the front bars of the cage.  Back to the mostly empty room.  Within minutes the bandages were totally in pieces.  Back again on Sunday where Dr. Volk recommended a short stay to keep him under observation. We visited him the following day and took him home the next. ALL OF THIS AT NO CHARGE MIND YOU.  Friday,  back again.  He tore at his stitches and the Vet we saw then honed in on specifics.  She said he probably had some nerve pain from all of his activity which should go away in a day or two with meds.  It did.  The owner of the practice Dr. Mankowsky called on Saturday evening FROM HOME to see if BB was doing ok.  He was and is doing fine.  He is off his meds, but the Dr. still wants to recheck him. From the front desk to the techs to all of the veterinarians who saw him we have never encountered such caring, wonderful people who truly LOVE animals and treat them as their own.  This practice is spotless and we will be  taking our pets there from now on.  We have been to other emergency animal hospitals and they can't hold a candle to MLAH. And, I might add, the prices aren't exorbitant, and more in line with a private vet than a 24 hour practice that has all the latest technology.  No unnecessary treatments or meds.  It's one stop shopping. Your calls are ALWAYS returned and treatment is always followed up with a phone call.Thank you all for helping us through a really difficult time.  BlackBerry says MEOW. Read Less

Expensive and worth it. They handled my cat's sudden urinary blockage with professionalism and swiftness to assure he was comfortable. Throughout the whole process and several days of hospitalization, I received updates on his condition including updates on his kidney levels and other medical tests. I made clear I was in no position to handle a huge bill so they made effort to minimized the costs and never ordered unnecessary tests. I absolutely don't agree with any comments that they are bilking people. They provide an excellent service especially in case of emergencies, and you should expect to pay for it. Dr. Rose was the lead doctor for my cat and she was fabulous. I enjoyed working with her and would ask for her again, although I'm sure there are many excellent doctors at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. Another pleasant, soothing feature is the farm animals on the premises. It's a nice touch to keep your mind off your beloved pet! The entire operation is streamlined yet everyone had the time to be friendly and helpful. My cat is healthy and happy now, thanks to everyone who cared for him! Read Less

Thanks for being open on Sunday as I needed to take my bulldog, T-Bone for treatment. I want to commend the vet tech Christine for excellent service and being so understanding and personal during my visit. It's hard to find a compassionate person nowadays in the medical fields. I would recommend some type of accommodation for her when it's time for her review. The only pitfall with this visit was the extremely high price for the take home medications. 300 dollars for two anti-biotics. I couldn't believe those prices. Otherwise, the staff was very nice. Let me just start by saying, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I live about 45 minutes to an hour from this practice, but my favorite exotic vet recently started working full time here. So when I thought I felt a lump on my pet rat Skye, I made an appointment. There are so many positive things I want to say about this place I don't even know where to start!First of all, its on a farm. Literally, a farm. You pull up and there are bulls, cows, goats, pigs, emus, etc. Its like a mini zoo and you can go up and pet the animals and everything. Its absolutely adorable! Then, when you walk in, the place is HUGE. I'm talking like 15-20 vets with tons of techs and workers. But unlike most places that large, it feels warm and welcoming. The staff were fantastic.A huge plus for me is obviously the exotic department. Those of you who have exotics (such as rats, hampsters, rabbits, birds, etc.) know how hard it is to get QUALITY care for your pets. So many people claim they can see them, but really are not qualified. Here are Mount Laurel there are two exotic specialists. (One being my long time exotic vet Dr. Fordham who is so good I have followed her every time she has moved practices). In addition to that, most of the staff is experienced in exotic care to some degree. (They have to be, they treat farm animals, and skunks and even fish!)Next, they are open 24/7 365 days a year for emergencies!!!! I was literally able to call around midnight and move my appointment up a day early. It is SUCH a relief to know there is a place that I can take my precious Skye in case of an emergency ANY time of day, ANY day of the year.My experience here was absolutely AMAZING. Of all the places I have taken my rats to, this is by far the best. Thank you guys for such a great experience! Read Less

Unless there are no other vet/hospitals open to take your animal to, I do not recommend this place. My bf and I brought my cat in because she was lethargic and I suspected GI issues. The vet was focused on her runny nose and wanted to do a $300 chest xray even though she "did not hear anything in the lungs". We heard her talking to the vet tech about us (thin walls) and it was not pleasant. I told her we were more concerned with my cat's abdominal area and she said there didn't seem to be an issue in that area. There ended up being a big issue. We took my cat to North Star vet the very next day where she died. The vet said there was definitely an issue with the GI tract, likely a blockage. Sadly, most vets are motivated by $$$ and not actually helping animals. Read Less

I absolutely love Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital. I have been looking for an honest, inexpensive vet for years. It was my pure luck that I found Dr. Mankowski at Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital. I am part of a TNR committee and, and a cat that I am fostering needed immediate attention for an infection. It was a Saturday, so one of my committee members told me to go to Mt. Laurel because they are open 24 hours to handle emergency situations. Once there, I was quickly taken back to a room where I met a wonderful vet tech named Christine. She was very caring and gentle with my cat. Shortly thereafter, I met Dr. Mankowski. He is the best. He is so honest and caring. Before he did anything, he would ask for my approval first. I told him yes to everything, and to be honest, I figured my bill would be really high based on the amount of tests performed and the emergency fee. To my surprise, my bill was very reasonable. Dr. Mankowski asked that I follow-up with a phone call within a week so that he could find out if the antibiotics were working. I never met such a compassionate, honest vet with reasonable prices. I can not praise Dr. Mankowski and his staff enough for the wonderful experience I had during my first visit. I have been waiting a long time to find a vet like Dr. Mankowski.

Hopefully I won't be visiting there too much but at least I know if my pups are ever in pain I have somewhere i can trust. Read Less

Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is great because of the workers they hire. I hope they realize that these workers make our experiences exquisite! Read Less

Words can not adequately express how wonderful a vet (and person) Dr. Colin McDermott is.  He treated our guinea pig, Oreo, for a chronic illness. Read Less

Multiple times we called. Awesome when we pulled up and the entire wait / paperwork. She talked to us and made it a lot easier then I thought it would be on us. We live about 45 minutes away. But we will be switching vets and coming there for check ups for now on Thank you for making the night easier . Read Less

The first time we went the staff was kind. The vet was not. We are here because we are worried about our dog and this guys is giving us an irrelevant lecture about something not pertaining to our dogs health. The second time the staff was pleasant as usual, really friendly, and helpful. The new vet this time around was much more kind. Took the time to explain the issues, told us in a respectful way what we should and shouldn't be doing and was compassionate. The only other problem I had was with billing. They quote me a low and high number and make you pay 75% of the high quote which is more than services rendered. If I'm putting down a deposit it doesn't make sense to pay more than the actual services. Overall great place great staff and reasonably priced. Read Less

I have been taking my shih tzu, Gizmo, to MLAH for 16 years. We have always received excellent care by consummate professionals. Last night, I had to let my Gizmo go after 16 loving years together. Everyone at MLAH made the decision and the process as easy as it could possibly be. They gave me all the time I needed with him and did not rush any part of the process. Gizmo was my first baby and he took a part of my heart with him over the Rainbow Bridge. Many thanks to everyone at MLAH for your kind and compassionate care at a very difficult time. Read Less

Read Less

I called and was told that I could bring her in whenever I was ready. I waited for my kids to be there. It was the most difficult night of my life. We were met at the front counter and the entire staff was very empathetic and compassionate and made sure we were comfortable and ready. They allowed me to hold her in my lap until she was gone. It sucked. But it was done professionally and with so much compassion. I could feel her leave and am glad she is in a better place where things don't hurt and skunks don't stinkRead Less

As the owner of 3 animals over 13, the last year has caused my unplanned vet visit to increase. A late evening emergency introduced me to MLHS, and I'm ever grateful I found them. My first visit was for my dog, which they treated the issue very well. I was expecting that to be his last night with us, based on his issues, but they treated him, and months later he's still with us. I recently lost my cat to a neurological disorder, and the treatment that I received there was beyond anything I expected from my friends and family, let alone people I'd just met. They handled it with compassion, giving me time and room to grieve after he was gone. I can't recommend them enough. They are absolutely amazing. Read Less

Memorial Day weekend, late at night, my 15-year old dog who had been ill for some time let me know it was time. I took her to Mt. Laurel, where a friend of mine works as a technician. It was the most difficult night of my life and the empathy and compassion that every single staff member I encountered showed me and my baby girl made all the difference. Just weeks later, another holiday weekend, another late night, and my younger dog was attacked by an animal in my yard. Mt. Laurel gave her great care. I really cannot express the comfort that a pet owner has, just knowing this facility is available, whenever we need it. Wonderful operation, wonderful staff.

Mankowski.
