This is a hospital powered by LOVE. Real care for animals’ wellness. We transferred to Princeton Animal Hospital about a year ago for continued healthcare. Staff here are very kind, warm-hearted and always happy to help. Every conversation during phone calls and hospital visits would be carefully recorded on file. And it runs 24/7, providing a peace of mind in case of any emergency. Only experience can tell the difference of their excellence. I am now more confident to bring my dog to see the vets here, since I know he is in good hands. Lots of gratitude to the staff at the PAH&CCC. Read Less

Princeton Animal Hospital is a LIFESAVER! After a horrendous experience at Banfield, I decided to take my dog Nori to Princeton Animal Hospital. The staff was extremely friendly and compassionate. My dog is dog-reactive, and so they took extra steps to make sure that my dog and all other clients were safe and stress-free, including having a room waiting for me when I arrived. They soothed Nori's nerves by giving treats and thoroughly introducing themselves to her, making her extremely comfortable with a big smile on her face! The vets were also available 24/7 on-call when Nori got into some cooked chicken bones, and continuously checked in with me and seemed genuinely concerned, answering all of my (many) questions. I will continue seeing them for years, I'm sure! One of the most pleasant experiences I've had with my dog. Read Less

My dog Phyllis is a patient over at Princeton Animal Hospital. The picking of her vet happened as a coincidence, as it's location is perfect, but it was the best coincidence.  Between the staff's demeanor when you walk through the door, the care of both the vet tech and Vetrinarians, not to mention the knowledge; it's the closest thing to perfect. The staff is great, very attentive and I really felt that my two cats were in good hands. I was there for a routine inspection and was amazed by their technology integration: I got my appointment by phone, gave the information and later I realize that they had a mobile app... when I enrolled the information was already in there! They managed to create a profile for each€ cat with my email which was pulled automatically when I enrolled in the app. They also asked for my cats records in advance, so they were well aware of why I was there and the overall situation of each animal. Highly recommended! It pricey, but you will get a great service for your money and your pet will get great care. Read Less

My almost four year poodle has been cared for by Princeton Animal Hospital with an extended stay. I received great guidance by the night nurses on call before he was even admitted. Apollo has been treated by Dr. Foley initially who took the initiative to place him on all precautionary meds, something my regular vet in another town never did and her kindness towards Apollo when he was so sick is above and beyond. Dr. Wolf treated him with the greatest of care and continued literally without any interruptions with treatment and her studious scientific study of Apollo and kindness. I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr Odgers who made a complete continued course of treatment. Dr. Miele runs an amazing hospital and has guided me through the necessary steps and updates. All the doctors kept me updated. The techs and office staff have been so kind to me and loving towards my dog from Justine (who had a love at first sight experience with my doggy) to Kelly letting me know my dog greeted her with a bark one morning which eased my concerns to Melissa and Lynsay being his best friends during my visits to Rasha at the front desk helping me quickly and always with a smile and all the front desk personnel. I don't have all the names here but Beca helped me with payments and insurance. Colleen always with a friendly smile and kindness. I can't be more grateful to the team and it truly is a team that possesses a super awareness of client and animal needs and the efficiency even when they are busy and that is something very special. If I missed names in here know that you are deeply appreciated. Read Less

Been a client for years and have been very satisfied with the care both my dogs have received at PAH. Recently, however, our fence blew down and our dog was hit by a car suffering a fractured leg(left) and a dislocated right hip. Having seen the x-rays, it was only with great care that she is walking again. We, my family and our dog, were treated beyond what I could have expected. The doctors/surgeons all stayed in constant contact with us and took significant time to address the multiple issues that arose in saving our dog. The staff...each and every one we dealt with..were professional but also empathetic to our situation as well as our dog's. It was evident that they invested not only professional service but also very personal care of our dog. As we return twice a week for rehab, our dog is happy to see everyone. I used this clinic for 3 years for my senior dog.The staff is extremely professional.   The doctors are very caring.  I understand the other reviews on costs.  Unfortunately this is the nature of medicine today.  There are so many tests available, and most pets do not have the type of insurance we owners have.  Pet owners should understand that the final say is yours.  You can defer any test you want.  The staff was more than willing to explain the purpose of the tests and the value they carry.  I am very surprised that people are complaining about the cost of care of a vet in Princeton.I was most impressed with the initial visit of my senior dog.  She was perfectly healthy, but they asked what my stance was on the care of the dog.   Should they do "anything possible", things that "improved value of life" etc.   It really helped near the end of her life. The other review about the broken leg is disturbing as well -- it does not match my experience at all.    It was my experience that when they took an xray and weren't sure what it represented, they were very clear on the possibilities.   In addition, it was my choice as to do further testing.   An ultra sound would show this, but not that.  A CT scan would be more definitive but would cost this much. A biopsy or exploratory would show exactly what was wrong but may not fix the problem. In the end I felt very comfortable that I had all the information and knew what was best for my dog to keep her as happy as possible to her last days.  She lived a long life, and didn't go through any unnecessary testing/treatment.   They were very understanding and most sympathetic at the end as well. This Wednesday, my pomeranian Sparko underwent a dental cleaning and several extractions (teeth were obviously loose) under general anesthesia. As he is practically thirteen, I was extremely worried about the procedure and the anesthesia was particularly frightening for me. On the visit prior to the procedure, Dr. Anderson took time to answer all my questions and offer me reassurance that despite his age, he was healthy enough for the oral surgery. Then on the day of the procedure, Dr. Miele came out while I was completed check in and let me know about the constant monitoring and care Sparko would receive. After the surgery was over, he was his happy self, but today it is obvious that he looks generally happier and more energetic than he was before his surgery. I suppose the behavior we mistook for aging was really dental discomfort. His teeth look lovely, btw! The veterinary care is wonderful, caring and at no point did I feel rushed. I also must commend the desk staff who checked me in, listened to my worries and called the day after the procedure to follow up on my pommy. Special shout out to Effie, who is always pleasant, smiling and puts pets and owners at ease. Having brought my poms to Princeton Animal Hospital for over twelve years now, a review is overdue and I can wholeheartedly recommend the staff and their wonderful work. I'm not related, have no affiliation with this practice.  Have seen over 30+ vet. practices in my life. You'll read below low reviews and I want to set the record straight. Read which dr. treated their pet.  Dog/cat food has to be healthy and not candy.  Good usually means bland and healthy.  I see extremely overweight animals coming in.  I bet their pet loves the food they eat. Bland may mean fit and healthy. The entire practice for a 24/7/365 - you can't beat.  The Drs. MIELE and certain Associate Dr.s - are knowledgeable. We miss Dr. Ross.  Dr. Polo has to go.  CLONE MORE MIELES AND ROSS'.  DR. POLO is ruining the practice reputation.  Some of the "assistants" and front desk need to be " animal" and people people and need to take notes better. Less party girl more reliable animal person ( pensioners and old folk - in any business - that has them does better).  I'm  middle aged successful and a extremely demanding businessman.  I know  what I'm  saying.  I am a 3+ year visitor of this practice.  I assessed their practice in year one.  The Drs. Miele know how to handle their patients. Pets are extremely well examined and cared for with gentleness.  Cost wise extremely fair ( less expensive then other practices for lesser level of care).  They do not "over sell" but rather make helpful non cost suggestions. Can't ask for better.  I'm a 2 dog and cat owner.  BTW:  their pet food prices RX are less expensive than on line.  Their records and calendar keeping beyond Vet. compare.  Most human doctors lack this element.  Easy to get to location and beautiful facility. If I could give zero stars I would. I called them because my dog was vomitting and had diarrhea. They had no vet on duty when I called and said that I shouldn't bring my dog into their clinic and offered to give me the number to another emergency clinic. What the hell! The lady that took my call left me on hold for 20 min meanwhile my dog was basically dying but did she care no! After being on hold for " years" for the other clinics number that she was supposedly going to give me, the lady picked up the phone and without a word hung up on me. No number, nothing. How the hell did she dare do that. Who do these people think they are. I will never do business with these people and I suggest everyone to steer clear of them as well. The good reviews seem insincere. Thankfully I found another vet that gave my dog proper care and he's fine now no thanks to these clowns. Read Less

They called us twice a day with the medical status and always took calls when we reached out to them. They were very kind to our cat and respectful of our concern during this period. Read Less

If I could give less than 1 star for these vets I would. My dog has been given the wrong dosage of medicine here, they assured me his leg was not broken when it was, and they also tried to convince me he had a severe heart issue when a cardiologist specialist elsewhere deemed it "not that serious". When my dog was in pain from a broken leg and not able to eat or drink Dr. Kristen Polo refused to treat him because he could not walk on his broken leg and I couldn't make him walk on it or put any weight on it. Dr. Polo told me there was nothing she would do for me if I couldn't make him walk on his broken leg. So I hysterically had to drive him over to NorthStar Vets in Robbinsville where they took excellent care of him and did NOT make him walk on his broken leg. STAY AWAY from this animal hospital. I am writing this review after 3 visits to the Carnegie Cat Clinic in order to share my experience and opinions with others.  Let me start out with Fees as I read in one review they were very high.  My fees were nowhere near what the bad review quoted.  They have a tech on site 24-7 with a Veterinarian there most times.  The reality is that for that kind of service they have to charge a fair fee.  I had a big problem on a Sunday and they met me at 9 am and then the Vet saw me later that same day after hours.  I actually think that they were entitled to charge more.If I have anything negative to say it is that I have been there 3 times and seen 3 different Vets.  Their note taking seems to be excellent, as subsequent doctors seemed to be quite well informed of my kittens history.  Of course it is hard to connect with a Vet this way, but it also means that you have someone available when you need it, as it is impossible for one vet to be there 24-7.   The first Vet I saw was Dr. Jones, and she was very nice.  Then for a problem a day later I saw Dr. Miele who was also very nice, and I was impressed by her years of experience.  My father was a Veterinarian, and I am a doctor, and found their care to be quite competent.   The third Vet I saw was Dr. Ross.  Unfortunately by then a kitten with a congenital problem was not doing well. I had to decide between Euthanizing the poor kitty or trying to get over the problem.  She laid out my options very methodically and answered all my questions with compassion and not rushing me at all.  Although I would not hesitate to see the other Doctors I will definitely  try to see Doctor Ross in the future and stick mostly with one Vet.One other thing was also very nice.  Unfortunately it seemed that the kitty had some serious problems and would likely be sick for the duration of its' life which would be a few months at most.  I decided that the second the kitten did not feel well enough to eat, play, or interact with people, I would Euthanize the kitten.  The Vet Tech Melissa P.  was really nice and made me feel less guilty about my decision.  She told me it was the right decision  to euthenize (after I made it) and that to keep it alive and suffering for 3 months only to have the same result,  would just be hard on the kitten.  I am sure many of us know of a person where you wish you could erase that last 3 months of their life of suffering.  She also thought out every step of the Euthanizing process and recommended the parts I not participate in as she was also concerned with my comfort which was very nice.  She did this in a very caring and not controlling manner. So this is my experience. Although not the outcome with the pet I expected, the care and compassion form Dr. Ross and Melissa was off the charts.  These are nice people and I am bringing them my new kitten for an exam within the week.  (This review is un-proofed as I have to rush off and drive 4 hours in the snow for another kitten)Thank You for your great care.Dr.  Jay Read Less

This past Friday, my 6-month old puppy came down with a case of sniffles. I decided to weigh it out by Sat night but her condition worsened as she exhibited decreased energy levels and a "sniffly" sound from her nose that sounded pug/bull dog like as she walked around. Started looking for Animal Hospitals opened on a Sunday... and the my pleasant surprise Princeton Animal Hospital was open. Yay! (since I was really beginning to freak out about my puppy at this point).I was greeted by a smile from the receptionists - Megan and Effie. So far so good, feeling happy. Additionally the reception area is VERY clean and organized again a good sign that this was a professional establishment. My puppy was seen by K. Ross. Miss Ross was very professional. She checked my pup thoroughly and asked very detailed questions to ensure that she could properly diagnose my pup's condition. (As a PM, I really appreciated her attention to detail, like she seemed to actual care about the dog and ensuring she administered the right cure)She recommended that the dog get an antibiotic and 14d dose of antihistamines. We checked out with the receptionists and we were on our way. So I left feeling satisfied. Thought I was all done... but to my pleasant surprise... I got a PERSONAL follow up call from the office to follow up on my pup's progress. WOW!!! Never heard of vet follow up call. (Disclaimer: I am a new pet owner... so I am not sure if this is typical). Nonethless, I appreciate the QUALITY SERVICE and PROFESSIONALISM. Also, another nice detail is that they seem to be technologically enabled! Clients are able to get test results, etc over email I think. A nice touch.Highly recommend this place. Although be prepared to pay ~$20 more for exams if you are going on a Sunday. Still not bad, compared emergency hospital rates. Read Less

For the most part their staff and vets are friendly, however it is clear that profitability is their key focus not patient care. We have two cats and every time one needed to go in (no matter how simple the issue) we had to first worry about how many diagnostic tests they wanted to run or what product they wanted to sell us next. You feel less like the owner of a patient in good hands, and more like you are walking onto a used car lot. They even try and guilt-trip you if you choose not to purchase their products (such as their specialized "bland" food instead of making your own organics). We will -never- bring our pets here for care again. Read Less

Read Less

They managed to create a profile for each€ cat with my email which was pulled automatically when I enrolled in the app. They also asked for my cats records in advance, so they were well aware of why I was there and the overall situation of each animal. Hope I haven't missed anything or anyone...truly excellent service in an era of fading 'client service'. Read Less

Read Less

My 10 year old Cavalier Leo has received excellent care at Princeton Animal Hospital. We have been going there since Leo was a puppy and he is always warmly greeted by the exceptional staff at the front desk. Recently, Leo had to have dental cleaning and extractions of several of his teeth. I was concerned about Leos age and his heart condition for this procedure. Dr. Anderson recommended certain tests to make sure this would be safe for him and assured me that he would be monitored throughout the procedure. She even called me mid-way to let me know how well he was doing and how many extractions were needed. Leo is doing so well now. He seems so much happier and has his energy back! Read Less

We recently had a problem with our cat. She was very lethargic and would not eat. The doctors at Princeton animal hospital were super in determining their diagnosis pretty quickly. It turns out she had swallowed a foreign object. The location of one of the two objects was not a problem to remove. But one had to result in an operation. The care and after care taken by the doctors and staff was incredible. They kept our cat at the hospital and took cRe of her for several days, because we also had a previously scheduled trip.

Read Less
