As a patron of Rutherford Animal Hospital for over 20 years, with numerous animals, 2 dogs and many cats as I would say I will never go to this Animal Hospital Again. In August, I noticed a growth on my dogs leg. I took her to RAH wherein the Dr. took two aspirations. She sent these aspirations out for diagnosis. She then said it looked as though it was Cancer they would have to operate and the surgery would cost $1,600.00. She gave me antibiotics and sent us home until the results from the aspirations came back. The antibiotics did nothing, and when the results came back, I never received a call, I had to call the Dr. who proceeded to tell me the results were inconclusive, but if I bring her back in, she will do another aspiration and look at it under the microscope in her office. The first aspirations cost me, along with the office visit and antibiotics over 350.00. And the results were inconclusive.I took her then to Twin Oaks in Teaneck, who did two aspirations (which came back cancer), gave her antibiotics, scheduled her for surgery with the estimate of $600.00. $1,000.00 difference. Oh and the office visit and the aspirations and medications, two shots and pills cost me $91.00. The Dr. did the surgery (where he told me there were no guarantees because of where the lump was that we would be able to get it all but we were trying) and there were no hidden costs, $600.00 as quoted, and super nice. They were compassionate and called my pet by name, showing care the entire way. RAH, didn't even comfort my pet, knowing the aspirations hurt. Never will I go there again. Read Less
