DON'T GO THERE! MAKE ANOTHER CALL! One late afternoon my dog was injured needed stitches in back, My vet referred them, after waiting 3 hrs(10 pm). They took vitals and offered me a CARE PLAN for up to 1700.00. Needless to say, I had to leave with my dog. Went some where else in Swedesboro NJ. Total cost was $550 and care was EXCELLENT! Now they are billing me for $140. After being on the phone with their hospital administrator and asking for a reasonable charge they sent me to a recovery services (collection agency) IN LESS THEN A MONTH, for 140.00 (for taking vitals) which turns out to be 315.00 with recovery fees. Please DON'T go there. Read Less

Awful. They wanted us to pay $2,500 before even telling us what they wanted to do to my cat. They made it seem like his tail was going to fall off and die if we didn’t get the treatment right then and there. We tried leaving, but they convinced to get back in and wait for antibiotics. Anyways, i took my cat to the vet this morning at Winslow Animal Hospital .... AND HIS TAIL IS HEALING WONDERFULLY!! He gets to keep his tail, and I only paid $65.00 for the visit. The very first Regional discussed was money. The LAST thing Winslow Animal hospital discussed was money. And my cat wasn’t even thoroughly examined by the vet there at Regional. Read Less

While there are exceptional veterinarians there..Drs. Griffin and Maser, I just will never go back there. DO NOT GO HERE! On May 20, 2018 around 11 PM, my 7 month old border collie puppy was allegedly hit by a car and ripped open his foot pad, scratched up his snout, suffered from labored breathing, as well as having unbearable back pain. I called my vet and they recommended Regional due to it being the only one open at the time. I arrived at Regional around midnight. We sat in the waiting room until about 1 AM waiting to be taken back. We weren't even taken back until my mother and I started freaking out because my puppy's breathing worsened and his gums turned white. Keep in mind we were the only ones there. It took them until 1:30 to get the vet in our room. She tried to say that my puppy had a fractured arm and internal concerns. She refused to help my dog until we picked one of the two options she gave us. Option 1: Pay $590 right then and there for 2 X-Rays Option 2: Pay $1500 for 2 X-Rays and some bloodwork We asked if there was any payment plan and they told me there was no way I could be approved. My sister then proceeded to ask if there was anything they could do for us to help save my puppy and the vet was very ill-mannered and clapped back with "I don't have a crystal ball" as well as "that's like going grocery shopping and expecting to get your groceries for free." We then left and went to Saint Francis' and saw Dr. Williams, who was incredibly honest and helpful. He even waived all the fees. Turns out my puppy did not have a fractured arm. He just has minor bruising in his lower back area and pain medication was recommended. DO NOT GO HERE. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY TO THEM. YOU GET DENIED SERVICE IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE ABSURD AMOUNT OF MONEY THEY REQUEST FROM YOU BEFORE ANY HELP IS GIVEN. Read Less

Unfortunately you can’t put anything less than 1 star or i would. I took my cat in for an emergency and it didn’t turn out good at all. They gave me 2 options. Pay $2,000 to “maybe” fix my cats problem or put him down. That’s exactly how they said it to me, no remorse. Unfortunately i do not have that kind of cash laying around so i asked to do a payment plan but they denied me stating that they don’t do that. I applied for care credit and got denied and could not do the icare load either. So my only option was to put my poor cat down, all the mean while he was suffering the whole hour it took them to tell me how much money it would take. I’m disgusted and will never take any of my animals back to this vet because clearly all they care about is getting money and not actually helping animals. I pray no one has to go through what me and my family went through. Read Less

It was a Sunday so my usual vet was closed and Regional Veterinary is always open and they were extremely effective in diagnosis and treatment and the technicians were extremely personable and knowledgeable. Took my dog there for an emergency. He skinned himself alive. I called my vet who recommended 2 other places. Specifically was told by them NOT to go to Regional. I needed the closest place so I went. When we arrived it was a 250.00 emergency fee and I was told to sign this form and initial here there and sign here. It was expedite things faster. My dog was taken back to be assessed. Soon the doctor came out to tell me what was going on. She gave me a high and low estimate to help my dog. High end was aprox. 2,700. When I said it was really high I was told the things could be taken off the estimate. WHY DID SHE INCLUDE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE IF THEY COULD BE REMOVED?? The new high estimate was 2,300. I was told that the price included everything. We left our dog and a few hours later got a phone call saying our dog was ready but the bill was 25% more due to extra anesthetic and extra meds. How can this be?? EXTRA??????? HE WAS ALREADY OUT!! When we arrived and was explained about the price increase and explained how I felt taken advantage of I was shown blown up on the computer where I signed AND in fine print how they could charge up to 25% more for a service. I explained that not one person told me of this. He "discounted"my dogs service and my cost was back to 2,300. HOW CAN THINGS BE "DISCOUNTED" and "REDUCED" 2 days later my dog had to go back. His bandage was leaking. The next doctor told me my dog needed another surgery. He needed a drain and the cost would be 450.00. Another surgery and another 450.00. TO PUT A DRAIN IN??? IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN AT NO CHARGE. IT WAS 2 DAYS LATER!! After I picked him up the NEXT DAY we returned because he looked bad. A third doctor told me I needs to consult with a board certified surgeon. She wanted to open him yet again and cut away dead skin . She also wanted to give us another estimate. We left. My dog had a 3rd revision surgery at Grey Fox and I was charged 48.00 for a visit. He is being cared for by an honest caring vet. This place Is a joke and rapes innocent people with a smile. YOU ARE AN OVERPRICED BUILDING With an inadequate staff. ITS LIKE A WHEEL AND DEAL kind of place. If I wanted to get hustled I'd have gone to Atlantic City!!!!!! DONT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE IN NY CASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My yorkie ingested posion this afternoon (a Sunday, of course,) and we brought him right over. They handled the situation with a sense of urgency, but overwhelming compassion. When they took him back I became a sobbing mess and they assured me he was already being treated and I would see a doctor soon for an update. Shortly after, the doctor came in to tell us that we did everything right (which is what I needed to hear first) and that they believe he will make a full recovery, and has a much less expensive care plan due to our quick action to get him treated. (Most important thing I needed to hear.) We took him home less than 2 hours later, and he is acting like his usual mischievous self. They saved my dog, which might seem pretty basic in nature, but they treated me exactly how someone who is terrified of losing the dog they love too soon needed to be treated as well. I will definitely switch to them for all of my vet needs. Read Less

I recently looked online to for the contact number and was surprised by reading some of the negative reviews. I have been going to Regional Vet since adopting my dog three years ago. I have never had any problems with any of the staff, Dr Griffin is an incredibly caring person. It would seem to me that the majority of complaints relate to having to pay for emergency services. Frankly, this doesn€t make sense to me, 135 or 150 does not seem unreasonable. You€re at a hospital, so naturally they are going to recommend testing to find out what€s wrong. Let€s be realistic, it€s a hospital that uses the same equipment that is used for us humans, the equipment is not cheap. To say that they don€t care because they won€t offer services for free and then giving them one star and a blasting them on Social Media just isn€t right. If you don€t have cash or credit I know I€ve seen that you can apply for CareCredit there. If all three are not an option for your situation, blasting them isn€t fair. Let€s not forget that vets go through as much schooling as an MD, why would anyone do that if they did not love animals. Owning a pet is not cheap, and it€s a personal choice what level of care you provide, but don€t blast people for trying to provide the best care and still stay in business when they won€t provide free care for your pet. Not surprised the past 4 Google reviews are 1-star. We brought my sister's cat in for an emergency at 10:30pm last week. First, we spent a ridiculous amount of time waiting. It was the middle of the night so it wasn't busy but each time the nurse or doctor walked out, we wouldn't see them again for a minimum of 20 minutes, whether it was to run a test, or grab a pen. We were there for over 4 hours in total and only one blood test was run that entire time. Second, we didn't like the nurses' conduct. Our nurse seemed high. We couldn't tell on what but her eyes seemed a bit off as did her speech and at one point she came in with glossy eyes like she had just used eye drops. The other nurse we could overhear with another patient had horrible bedside manners, even being rude to the owners. Finally, and worst of all, they misdiagnosed my sister's cat. After all that time and just one blood test performed, the doctor reported that he was only concerned about one level out of a dozen elevated levels on his blood test. They recommended giving him lots of fluids overnight to see if it improved. Plus they wanted to charge an additional $800 just to keep him on fluids overnight with the potential to cost $4000. We ended up rushing him to Swedesboro Animal Hospital which we'd been to in the past. The first thing that doctor asks is, "Did they tell you he has a heart murmur?? If they had pumped him full of fluids overnight, it would've killed him, drowned his chest cavity." Plus Swedesboro's doctor was way more concerned about some of the other elevated values on his bloodwork, not at all about the one that the first doctor cared about. Long story... Poor care, poor service, overpriced, and a misdiagnosis! Take your pets elsewhere! Or else... literally. Read Less

This was the 3rd Veterinary I took my Maltese to in 6 months, because everyone was just collecting money and experimenting on my dog, telling me he had an allergic reaction to a bordetella shot. I took my dog to Regional Vet for the 1st time in February and was informed he had mange by Dr. Mazur. She prescribed 3 different meds for him over the next 21-28 days. I took him back for a follow-up appointment on 3/24/16 with Dr. Mazur. My dog was normal and I thought he was doing much better until she put him on another medicine. She prescribed an oral liquid to help his skin and coat return to normal. After the 2nd dose he started to have the runs and diarrhea on Friday 3/25/16. I waited until Saturday 3/26/16 to call Dr. Mazur, which she never returned my call, but her nurse called me back on Sunday 3/27/16 to inform me to split the dose up, 1/2 in the AM and 1/2 in the evening. On Monday 3/28/16 & Tuesday 3/29/16 he continue to have the runs and diarrhea. Wednesday 3/30/16 morning I found him dead down stairs. In less than a week of his follow up appointment, and him doing fine he ends up dead. I called Regional Veterinary immediately to inform Dr. Mazur that my dog had passed away and she never returned my call. I called her again on Friday 4/1/16 and she still never answered or returned my call. I spent approximately $700-$1,000 dollars in 1 month at this place and no one had the respect to return a call. I noticed their fees are outrageous and they are greedy, hungry, thirsty and starving for MONEY. This was the 3rd veterinary I took my Maltese to in 6 months. Run as far as you can from Regional Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center. I definitely and strongly agree with comments made by C. Brown, P Galayda, J Kennedy, BarnBrat, and M Edgerton they are only worried about MONEY and not the pets/animals. It's sad to say, but the best doctors for ANYTHING (human or animals) are in Philadelphia PA. THEY DESERVE NO STARS, BUT I HAD TO HIT ONE STAR IN ORDER TO POST MY COMMENT. Read Less

Read Less

Or else... literally. Read Less

Read Less

Brought in an old stray on her death throes. They tried to tell me they could prolong her life for more money. It was obviously time for her to die. They tried to say I should have brought her in sooner even though there were no prior signs of dying , it happened all of a sudden. Anyway they put her to sleep . The head guy doctor is Dr.Frankenstein along with his groupie interns and evil insensitive witch secretary. Read Less
