We brought my sister's cat in for an emergency at 10:30pm last week. First, we spent a ridiculous amount of time waiting. It was the middle of the night so it wasn't busy but each time the nurse or doctor walked out, we wouldn't see them again for a minimum of 20 minutes, whether it was to run a test, or grab a pen. We were there for over 4 hours in total and only one blood test was run that entire time.
Second, we didn't like the nurses' conduct. Our nurse seemed high. We couldn't tell on what but her eyes seemed a bit off as did her speech and at one point she came in with glossy eyes like she had just used eye drops. The other nurse we could overhear with another patient had horrible bedside manners, even being rude to the owners.
Finally, and worst of all, they misdiagnosed my sister's cat. After all that time and just one blood test performed, the doctor reported that he was only concerned about one level out of a dozen elevated levels on his blood test. They recommended giving him lots of fluids overnight to see if it improved. Plus they wanted to charge an additional $800 just to keep him on fluids overnight with the potential to cost $4000.
We ended up rushing him to Swedesboro Animal Hospital which we'd been to in the past. The first thing that doctor asks is, "Did they tell you he has a heart murmur?? If they had pumped him full of fluids overnight, it would've killed him, drowned his chest cavity." Plus Swedesboro's doctor was way more concerned about some of the other elevated values on his bloodwork, not at all about the one that the first doctor cared about.
Long story... Poor care, poor service, overpriced, and a misdiagnosis! Take your pets elsewhere! Or else... literally. Read Less
