About seven years ago I brought my little dog into this vet when she was attacked by a eagle. This doctor accused us of hurting our dog & refused to accept our explanation. To top it off this vet is rarely in the Washington office. He spends more time in Flemington because he can charge more for his services. He’s a crummy guy and a crummy vet. His staff is impersonal and our dog didn’t like them. Never took my dogs back. Harmony and alpha both have good staff and vets. We go there And you should too. Dr.G. and staff are the BEST! They are always friendly and willing to help, I have NEVER felt rushed. If I need to get in as an emergency they have accommodated me. The staff makes arrangements with me so I can pick up food for my dog even if after hours. I wouldn't bring my best friend anywhere else. Read Less

Great vet and staff. Unfortunately, we were late due to our cat not wanting to get into the carrier. They still took is right in! Our cat is old and crotchety, yet the staff and doctor were able to examine him with no problems. I definitely recommend them. I have a cat who has been suffering with stomatitis for about 6 months now. I had been taking her to common sense for animals and the doctor there would give her a steroid shot only. Over time it quickly lost its effect. I had begged him to please give her pain medicine and to try an antibiotic because everything I have read recommended trying an antibiotic. I couldnt stand to see her starving, drooling and suffering anymore! That man would not budge. My cat continued to suffer and slowly went from 13 pounds down to 7. I knew I had to find a different vet who is willing to take a different approach with her. I called one afternoon and all the staff was wonderful and they gave me an appointment for a Saturday. She had really declined that week so I called and they took me in on Wednesday... well that was just a week ago. The doctor was so kind and understanding and along with her usual steroid shot she got a shot of antibiotics. My kitty is returning to herself she is eating I can start to feel a layer of fat over her spine and her hips are filling in. I am so happy that she is doing better and the best part is her breath no longer smells like a septic LOL. Recently my Vet, of 30 years retired and looking for a new one. Whn my cat, Fiddlestix was biten by anther anmal, he needed help. I am SO impressed with this Animal Hospital.  I have 3 cats and while 2 are appropriately behaved at the vet my one girl goes insane and become a rage cage.  The staff was kind to her and handled her with expert care!  They were not rough with her, but were able to restrain her humanely which I SO appreciated.  They didn't sigh, act like she was a monster, or act like they were being put out at all.  I truly appreciate their patience and care.  Despite her outrageous behavior he still gave her a full assessment (something our former vet refused to do since she was hissing).  They also provided our other cats with very thorough examinations and showed us things in the assessment I never knew as well about our pets!  I am SO glad we have established with them and look forward to years of care for our pets. I recently brought Archer, our newly adopted dog, into Washington Animal Practice to have him checked because we thought he had kennel cough. I was impressed with the staff and Dr's, their kind words and helpfulness put my mind at ease! We have two older cats and are new to the area. We passed the Washington Animal Hospital many times. Meghan had blood in her urine, so I called for an appointment. We are glad and relieved that the staff was friendly and reassuring during this unsettling time. Our cat is shy and the staff showed kindness and patience that I had not seen at any other vet we visited. Very professional and thorough. They gave us full instructions that we could understand and telling us we can call at any time if we need them. I am very happy with Washington Animal Hospital! I have total confidence with Dr. G.. He has always been there for my pets. You can tell that he really cares for the animals. Not only is he sensitive to the animals, but he is sensitive the the owner. He does advise you when it is warranted. One of the most important factors that I noticed about Dr. G is he looks straight at you and shakes your hand when he enters the room. My parents have been bringing our animals to Washington Animal Hospital for as long as I can remember. When I had pets of my own there was no other place I would go. The entire staff has been helpful, compassionate and reassuring each time I've gone here. Dr. G was wonderful with my headstrong Great Dane and when he was diagnosed with cancer in 2014 the staff and Dr. F specifically went well beyond supporting him and I in his final months. We took our cat here when she fell asleep in someone's engine block and was hurt terribly. The staff took her immediately on short notice and were very attentive to the poor kitty's needs. They were so gentle I felt certain I was dealing with fellow animal lovers. I was also very upset, having found her bleeding to death on the porch, and the staff completely understood and made every attempt to calm me down.The surgery was expensive - all surgeries are. I would expect nothing else, and it was worth it to save my cat's life. Plus, they told me all about my payment options and how to set up a payment plan that would ease the financial burden. They did a great job with the surgery and kept me very informed about how to care for the cat in the following days.I highly recommend this hospital. They are competent and helpful. Read Less

I have taken all of my dogs here and trust the staff completely. We have seen both doctors and both are very knowledgeable, honest and gentle with my dogs. They always see me on time and can take us in at the last minute. The vet techs and front desk staff are also very great and welcoming. Very timely with appointments. Don't recall waiting long ever. We found them to be very expensive. We recently brought our dog for a 15 min. exam that cost us $400 to determine he had a sick stomach. Another experience that turned us off is to spend 10 mins. with the doctor, pay an office visit (approx. $45) and then be charged $5 for a pill and a half....couldn't throw that under the office visit?
