Came in today for my cat to do a annual vet check and vaccinations. Women at the front desk were very friendly, however, the Veterinarian and Vet tech were not. They were extremely rough with our cat to the point that she was discharging from her anal glands which she’s never done before and they were unfriendly and quick with us. It was strange because there was no wait and we were asking simple questions but it felt as if we were wasting their time. Definitely won’t be coming back. Read Less

I normally don’t post reviews and if i do it’s always positive. After what happened with my beloved cat I feel compelled to. I won’t be going to this vet anymore I thought at first that this was a great vet large staff hours are great. But i felt many abuses that i left alone. First off as of yesterday my cat has passed based on another 2 doctors in a hospital in bound brook it was recommended and made clear to me not to put my cat through any more pain. As far back as June it was discovered my cat had a rare disease and it was explained to me recently i should have known then that there was very little chance of her fully recovering. Instead i wasn’t told that at all and the onslaught of meds and shots only led to a miserable life for months that i could have avoided. I feel responsible for this and i should’ve had a second opinion months ago. For the first time yesterday i finally understood what was going with my cat becouse it was. Never explained before. Not once. Only thing i was told is give her these pills give her this give her that. This shot that shot Usually given without explanation or asking me if it was ok. Also thank god my dog is fine but i went in asking for a simple rabies shot and walked out with a slew of others i didn’t agree to certainly didn’t want. But shut my mouth becouse what do i know i just get the bill. As mentioned i don’t normally complain but in my cats memory i felt compelled to post. Please be aware ! Read Less

I've been visiting Dr. Karen O. for three years or so and it's always been a pleasure to bring our dog in for appointments. Todays staff was no exception. Julie behind the front desk is very accommodating when I need to reschedule due car issues or for whatever reason. Heather and Brian (sic) due a great job of handling our pet, even if it's only a nail trimming. I drive out of my way in making Whitehouse Vet our regular dog Doctor and will continue to do so. Our family has a deep bond with Whitehouse Vet.  Not only did they take great care of my aging Tyler for a few years until he passed at the age of (almost) 13 (we switched from another vet group).  Dr. Oberhansley took care of our daughter's cat in an emergency situation, when she wasn't able to find good vet care for the cat at where she live.  Now we have a puppy and of course he has been going to Whitehouse for all his medical needs.  Both Dr. Farrar and Dr. Oberhansley are excellent!  All the staff are helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient.  If you live in this area I believe it is the BEST place to bring your pet(s). I have always had a positive experience at Whitehouse Vet Hospital. I have never had a problem getting an appointment. The wait time has always been minimal and the care has always been excellent. Whitehouse Vet is the best. I have been with them for over 20 years. We used to live in Readington (very convenient) but we are in PA now (not so convenient) but I would never trust my dogs with anyone else. We have been through some tuff times there with sickness and deaths but the compassionate staff and Docs were wonderful. Dr. Farrar and Dr. Karen and the sweet girls at the front desk ... I would like to share my experience at Whitehouse Veterinary hospital. I found WHV hospital searching online for a vet to do a checkup and rabies on my moms cat Zena, who had been a previous stray that my mom took in. She is still a little nervous with interactions especially with strangers. Dr. Karan and the staff were everything we could of hoped for! They were so patient with Zena making sure she was comfortable and not overly stressed. We were so relieved we had found a Vet and staff who are so caring and passionate and understanding the needs of her. That was the first experience. Well my 8 year old Yorkie-poo needed a surgery on a growth he had and also had to be neutered. Our old vet was too far of a distance from us so with how great our experience was the first time we wanted to get Dr.Karan's advice on his growth. She was quick to give us a great solution and explained the process and made us feel really confident in this procedure. The surgery was a success! I am so relieved that Bentley received the best care. He is my baby! I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful place and only 10 minutes from my home! Whitehouse Vet cared for my pets from 1995 when I first moved to Whitehouse Station until I moved to North Carolina in 2015. Been making the rounds at veterinary hospitals lately with my little one -- this time for a routine spay.We adopted our toy poodle at 4 months and the poodle club threw in the spay as part of her rather sizable adoption fee (b/c a puppy, pure bred, yada yada).  My experience with vets and a dozen pets over the years is all over the map, and free (more like prepaid in this case) does not always mean the experience will be a good one.Pleased to say that despite switching vets on us at the last minute from the one recommended by the poodle club, all went well.  The staff here is very friendly and professional -- they did exactly as promised -- and 4 days later my baby is right as rain -- no worries.I am pleased with my current vet and wouldn't use WHV again because it is just too far out of the way for us -- but that said -- I would use WVH if I lived in the area and recommend them for those who do. Took my cat here several times and was not impressed at all. The Vet came in into the exam room with another pet owner's file thinking that was my pet. Dr not very caring and the exam rooms are are dingy and old which gives off appearance of not being clean. Didn't stay with this vet too long before I made a switch to Oldwick Animal Hospital and so glad that I did! Read Less

Amazing. Simply amazing I traveled about an hour just to get my dogs surgery here it was 1000 less then my normal vet (and my vet was the one who suggested this place) and they treated my dog with love and care. He had a tumor in his eye so he needed an enucleation (eye removal). The surgery was a success ad they were very helpful with after care. He just got his stitches out today and he's back to his happy self! He's only 3 years old he deserves to live a long healthy life and these guys made it possible! Read Less

I don't always write recommendations. In fact, I barely do whether the service is great or poor. However, Dr. Karen is AMAZING! She is absolutely wonderful in every aspect and I am so grateful to have found the perfect vet for my dog. She is very knowledgeable and caring with decades of experience. It's hard to find someone who you can tell loves their career and has a burning passion for it daily, but she definitely does.
