Since I moved to NM a year ago, three stray puppies and two kittens came into my home (whether I liked it or not!). They ALL love Dr. Robertson because she gets down on the floor and plays with them, pets them, and talks to them like they're her own. The kittens always played together while waiting for their shots. We live all the way in the SW valley, but I go there because of this. It's always fantastic to have Dr. Robertson and the staff say how cute and funny they are. They always patiently answer all of my questions and help me ensure all these babies got all their necessary shots, spays, and neuters. I also have an 18-year-old German shepherd whose time is limited. She has advanced kidney disease and a severe limp, but still goes up and down the stairs to go outside, and still loves to eat. Dr. Meisner put her on pain meds and is helping me decide if It's time for her to go yet, although appropriately leaving the ultimate decision to me. One of the puppies has a neurological disorder and Dr. Robertson is able to address that and answer my questions. In both cases, I trust their knowledge, experience, and compassion. This is an amazing vet practice!! My 16 year old chihuahua had an abscessed tooth. They got me in same day within about 30 minutes of my phone call. All the staff honestly cares about the health and safety of your pet. They did her dental surgery with no complications and it was much more affordable than what I expected. Best vet ever. Read Less

Worst place ever!!! I brought in my baby to have a test done for parvo showing all the symptoms of Parvo and distemper... They turn around and told me he had a stomach virus and sent me home with antibiotics never once testing him for distemper after test for parvo came out negative.... Finding out less than a week later my doggie had distemper and that's what he died from. They allowed my dog to come in contact with other dogs while there!!!! Being that this is a highly contagious and deadly disease for canines I really hope no other dogs became infected that day with the deadly disease. My cat, Senor don Gato, needed surgery to remove stones in his stomach. I live in Santa Fe and the amount my vet wanted for the procedure was much more than I could afford. Thinking that perhaps the vets in Albuquerque would be less expensive I did some research and saw the great reviews for 4 Paws. Dr. Robertson was fabulous from the very beginning! She spoke with me on the phone about the procedure and her price was very reasonable, so I made an appointment. Dr. Robertson has great energy and Senor loved her! Dr. Robertson is everything you could want in a vet... professional, knowledgable, and she treats every single pet as if they were her own. Both of my cats and dog loved her. When we moved to Albuquerque 3 years ago, we were a little worried about finding a great vet. Not only was the general care incredible, but Dr. Robertson removed a cancerous lump from our cat and she couldn't be happier or healthier today. My old man that I got from a shelter named Rocky had some issues recently and the hospital because of Dr. Robertson and her awesome staff made him feel very comfortable and safe as they could. He had cancer and I had to put him down. They went out of their way to make sure that he was comfortable during the process and that I was OK as well. I met dr. Robertson at a shot pet day at our church. The first time I took Bailey to her she found out she had rotten teeth I have been taking her to another vet for a long time and never was this discovered. Her staff and also dr. Robertson are awesome caring and loving to your pets. Yesterday I took Bailey to her with many concerns. But the most concern I had was that she hadn't been eating have spent so much money trying to get her to eat I was so desperate didn't know what to do anymore to see my baby eat. She prescribed her some medication I am so overjoyed to see my Bailey actually eat she even ate dry kibble which that never happened since I've had her thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of my baby. We had to put our 10 year old Golden Retriever down last year and we thankfully had Dr. Robertson and a nurse come to the house and do the euthanasia. Dr. Robertson has been our vet for about 6 years now. We've found her to be a very kind and compassionate person. She genuinely loves animals (and is great with the owners, too!) We like her so much, when she switched from a nearby 25 hospital, we followed her across town to 4 Paws. As another reviewer wrote, the pries were not so high as to be affordable, but not so low that we worried about the quality of care. We just rescued our fourth dog from the pound and, despite getting a free first visit from other vets, 4 Paws was our first call. The only reason I didn't give the full five stars was the distance and the lack of 24 hour intake. If the location works for you and you aren't concerned about the hours, I highly recommend Dr. Robertson and 4 Paws Hospital. Read Less

My husky/shepherd mix who is about 40lbs was spayed last week and all went well. Price was affordable not to high not to low less than $200 where other places is around $300. I debated between bringing my dog here or to Vetco due to pricing was similiar in which I might of paid a little bit more here that im ok with because we were treated and taken care of well.  I really liked that when we showed up I was taken to a room right away because I had my three year old and my wild dog in hand and it put me more at ease. I was suprised to be called again to ensure I got the message that surgery went well. Dr was very friendly, seems to be very knowledgeable and more of a my kind of doctor. The vet tech when I came for pick up loaded her up for me like super women since of course my girl couldnt jump up. They care about doing a good job. I never knew this vet was here until recommended to me by one of our dog park friends Honey Bears momma. It was nice to try a new vet and have a good experience. I took a risk for our visit being to spay my dog not knowing what to really expect. I will be going back for other services. I have nothing but raves for Dr. Robertson and her staff.  My dog is severely allergic and I was referred to her when I was still living in Mexico planning my move back to Albuquerque.  Dr. Robertson and I emailed back and forth about Daisy before I got back here, without any hesitation from Dr. Robertson even though Daisy was not an official patient yet.  When we arrived, Daisy was seen immediately and the level of care for her has been great.  Dr. Robertson is patient with me and loves Daisy.  I cannot recommend this clinic enough. As a pet owner of nearly 35yrs owning everything from dogs, snakes, birds, lizards, geckos, hedgehogs, rabbits, fish...ok, you get the picture! And yes, I often wish ida been a vet! Anyhow, I have much experience with vets and often on the lookout for a new one either due to the pricing or office staff or the vet not meeting my expectations...its exhausting! Since I was referred to Adena Robertson's clinic here at 4 Paws, I know I need not look any further. Talk about amazing, I think her personality coupled with her expertise is what make for her winning combination. She is the type of vet you just want to keep chatting with, heck she's the type of person you wanna have lunch with! That said, let me also interject that her staff is just as friendly and wonderful, patient, kind and never make you feel rushed. The adjacent groomer is also great to chat with and she explained the causes for the eye/tear staining on my lil guy, suggesting distilled or bottled water and it worked!Today Adena Robertson saw our lil Jaxx in-between surgeries as an emergency because he was having a reaction to his Rabies vaccination from another clinic which I will never return to! Her kindness extended to lil Jaxx means so much, especially considering how busy she was! She never let on and fixed him right up with pain/anti-inflammatory meds and a shot to lessen his swelling...he's fast asleep as I write this review, oblivious to the hair I've lost worrying about his health up to this point and I have 4 Paws to thank!
