They were very good along the way as our dog went downhill, but the mobile unit that came to our house was not good putting him down. They could not get the meds in the vein to calm him so eventually ...
They were very good along the way as our dog went downhill, but the mobile unit that came to our house was not good putting him down. They could not get the meds in the vein to calm him so eventually just shot him in the heart. It was a very sad time of course, but we paid for both meds I'm sure and there was no offer for partial refund. Not that I would have necessarily taken it but it would have been acknowledgment that they understood it did not go as planned and it was harder on our boy.

I came here on the recommendation of a neighbor with pets as a very who was close, attentive, and not too expensive. I have three cats, one year old came in for a nail trim. My two older cats both had to go in last week urgently. on two different days, each cat stopped eating and starting acted strangely. They were able to get each cat in urgently. for one, he went in when the office was going to close early, and the other I was able to bring her in, leave her there, and they'd see her in between patients. the staff is friendly. strangely, they don't have the capability to fax and possibly they can't email anything that requires being scanned.my big gripe is that I went out if my way to bring one of the cat's urine samples in during their posted office hours, and they were closed. I don't know if they were expensive compared to other vets because my cats really haven't needed anything before last week.

I was very impressed with the entire staff at Pawz To Care! I walked into their vet clinic this morning with my male miniature schnauzer . He had been vomiting a lot after getting an insect bite. Dr. Lauryn was very professional, polite, & listened as I explained what I suspected happened to him.
My previous vet could not take him in today, & did not even give me any alternative recommendations of where to take him.
Thank you Pawz To Care staff for helping my Winston! I will be seeing you again for my shihpoo too. I also will be recommending your clinic services to my friends.

Dr Spohn is a treasure and I wish I had found her sooner. I have taken two dogs to see her and both times I was very impressed with her attentiveness to me and my dogs. She was informative, she listened, she did not rush....she really cared about my dogs. And when my old guy needed her the most, she came to my home, she bent over backwards to make him comfortable in every way possible. She was kind and compassionate. My beloved Hektor crossed the bridge in peace safe in his own home, pain free and anxiety free thanks to her. I will be a loyal customer of Paws To Care for all my days. I'm 56 years old, been to a lot of vets. A lot were knowledgeable, a lot were compassionate, some were really attentive. She is all these things. I really like her. Thank you Dr Spohn for all that you did for my boy Hektor.

DO NOT GO TO PAWZ TO CARE!!! Lauryn Spohn and Susan Rouhle accussed me of lying to them when I asked for a partial refund for them not doing a physical exam on my cat Zorro. They did not do HEENT eyes, ears, nose and throat nor did they take his temp or his weight. Then Lauryn Spohn had the nerve to fat shame me for my cat being slightly overweight. 1. she did not take his weight 2. weight is close to normal. She told me she could not at first feel the lump I was complaining about because he was sooo fat. I felt it just fine. She preached that he should be on a diet, how to do this etc. while my cat sat terrified of them. I finally had to tell them to let him go and hide as she did not care. Finally, I just felt another lump on his chest that she did not catch because obviously never did the exam and charged full price. I did not think of it until the end of that day. I called the next day and Susan insisted they did the exam. I told her if they would not help me I would complain on the internet. They never resolved the issue with me.

We have a houseful of pets (4 cats and 2 dogs) so it was very convenient to have a home veterinary visit. Dr. Spohn is wonderful and so caring. She and her assistant were very kind to all the pets and patient with them, making them feel comfortable. Our pets got all the best care without the stressful car ride. They made sure we had everything we needed and even mailed us some samples for our specific pet needs for free. I thought it would cost a lot but it was very reasonable, which was an added bonus!

DO NOT go to Pawz To Care with Lauryn Pohn and Susan Rouhle unless you want to pay $277 for no good reason. Susan said I could not even have a partial refund because I was lying: they really did the exam and anyways the fees were for their time. Even a basic exam like checking my cat's head, nose, ears, eyes, nose and throat nor temperature and weight was taken at all. In fact, Lauryn Pohn criticized me for my cats weight which was 1. not taken 2. It was normal. She told me she couldn't at first feel the lump I complained about because he was soooo fat. I felt it just fine. She preached about putting him on a diet and how to do this as my cat sat there terrified of them. I finally had to tell them to let him go hide. They also recommended unnecessary bloodwork. Please do not go to Pawz To Care because your pet and money are important. I am out $277 and now I must go to another vet to have him properly examined.

I would highly reccomend pawz to care. We had to euthanize our 10 year old German Shepherd "Bullet". From the very first phone call the staff was empathetic and professional. We felt that they actually cared about our position rather than rattling off a price list like other vets did.
The doctor arrived promptly on a holiday and stayed with us for over an hour making sure Bullet was calm and sedated before proceeding.
We are so sad that our shepherd has passed but thank you for your compassion and kindness throughout the process.

I called in the morning as my girl was not looking good. Jody the receptionist was so kind and asked me when. I said ASAP. She got me scheduled for that afternoon. The doctor was right on time. She let my dog lie on the couch where she usually say. She was so patient and let us watch all the prep. I was the one to say when. She let me carry her to the day for her last ride wrapped in her favorite blanket. I can not say enough about how wonderful everyone was. Did not have to wait another day to send my sweetie to her peace. Would highly recommend these angels to help you through a difficult time.

For Placitas, Bernalillo, Enchanted Hills residents, we finally have a professional, highly skilled veterinarian close by who also does house calls on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Dr Spohn is a treasure and I wish I had found her sooner. I have taken two dogs to see her and both times I was very impressed with her attentiveness to me and my dogs. She was informative, she listened, she did not rush....she really cared about my dogs. And when my old guy needed her the most, she came to my home, she bent over backwards to make him comfortable in every way possible. She was kind and compassionate. My beloved Hektor crossed the bridge in peace safe in his own home, pain free and anxiety free thanks to her. I will be a loyal customer of Paws To Care for all my days. I'm 56 years old, been to a lot of vets. A lot were knowledgeable, a lot were compassionate, some were really attentive. She is all these things. I really like her. Thank you Dr Spohn for all that you did for my boy Hektor.

DO NOT GO TO PAWZ TO CARE!!! Lauryn Spohn and Susan Rouhle accussed me of lying to them when I asked for a partial refund for them not doing a physical exam on my cat Zorro. They did not do HEENT eyes, ears, nose and throat nor did they take his temp or his weight. Then Lauryn Spohn had the nerve to fat shame me for my cat being slightly overweight. 1. she did not take his weight 2. weight is close to normal. She told me she could not at first feel the lump I was complaining about because he was sooo fat. I felt it just fine. She preached that he should be on a diet, how to do this etc. while my cat sat terrified of them. I finally had to tell them to let him go and hide as she did not care. Finally, I just felt another lump on his chest that she did not catch because obviously never did the exam and charged full price. I did not think of it until the end of that day. I called the next day and Susan insisted they did the exam. I told her if they would not help me I would complain on the internet. They never resolved the issue with me.

We have a houseful of pets (4 cats and 2 dogs) so it was very convenient to have a home veterinary visit. Dr. Spohn is wonderful and so caring. She and her assistant were very kind to all the pets and patient with them, making them feel comfortable. Our pets got all the best care without the stressful car ride. They made sure we had everything we needed and even mailed us some samples for our specific pet needs for free. I thought it would cost a lot but it was very reasonable, which was an added bonus!

DO NOT go to Pawz To Care with Lauryn Pohn and Susan Rouhle unless you want to pay $277 for no good reason. Susan said I could not even have a partial refund because I was lying: they really did the exam and anyways the fees were for their time. Even a basic exam like checking my cat's head, nose, ears, eyes, nose and throat nor temperature and weight was taken at all. In fact, Lauryn Pohn criticized me for my cats weight which was 1. not taken 2. It was normal. She told me she couldn't at first feel the lump I complained about because he was soooo fat. I felt it just fine. She preached about putting him on a diet and how to do this as my cat sat there terrified of them. I finally had to tell them to let him go hide. They also recommended unnecessary bloodwork. Please do not go to Pawz To Care because your pet and money are important. I am out $277 and now I must go to another vet to have him properly examined.

I would highly reccomend pawz to care. We had to euthanize our 10 year old German Shepherd "Bullet". From the very first phone call the staff was empathetic and professional. We felt that they actually cared about our position rather than rattling off a price list like other vets did.
The doctor arrived promptly on a holiday and stayed with us for over an hour making sure Bullet was calm and sedated before proceeding.
We are so sad that our shepherd has passed but thank you for your compassion and kindness throughout the process.

I called in the morning as my girl was not looking good. Jody the receptionist was so kind and asked me when. I said ASAP. She got me scheduled for that afternoon. The doctor was right on time. She let my dog lie on the couch where she usually say. She was so patient and let us watch all the prep. I was the one to say when. She let me carry her to the day for her last ride wrapped in her favorite blanket. I can not say enough about how wonderful everyone was. Did not have to wait another day to send my sweetie to her peace. Would highly recommend these angels to help you through a difficult time.

He was a little difficult at first because he was scared, but the doctor and the tech handled it with great kindness and helped him relax. I first met Dr. Spohn when she came to my house to help with the passing of my 16 yr. old dog. She was wonderfully kind and incredibly empathetic as well as efficient and professional. She made one of the hardest days of my life a little better. She is now my vet and I absolutely love the clinic and all the staff. I hope they will stay in Bernalillo for a very long time!

Dr. Spohn and her team are excellent. She diagnosed our beloved kitty's cancer and is guiding us through the hospice stage. She is extremely knowledgeable and comforting and is very compassionate toward her patients. I can't recommend her highly enough. For Placitas, Bernalillo, Enchanted Hills residents, we finally have a professional, highly skilled veterinarian close by who also does house calls on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

We took our puppy to Pawz to Care after we found worms in her stool. They were great....not only did they get us in under a hour from calling, but the appointment was very informative and our puppy was feeling better in 24hours!
