I am looking around for a good hospital for my pets and while reading the reviews I find it every unprofessional on how they replied to a customer's reviews. Good or bad review a professional company would no reply with that kind of disrespect. Just by reading that comment from the manager I can see how rude and unprofessional they can get. And with the cherry on top the exposed the customer's financial situation. Telling the customer no education, this business may have pet experience but I highly recommend some business ethic and customer service. Read Less

Had dental work done on my dog and Dr Van Otten had the tech explain what they did and how to care for her. He did not take the time to explain what he had done and how to care for her. Had the dog in on Friday with a bone lodged in her small intestine which appeared to be too large to pass. The woman vet said to give her a laxative and take her in the next day if she wasn’t better. She didn’t make it through the day. I will not go back with any of my other animals and take the chance of her covering. Dr Van Otten is okay and the techs are awesome. Read Less

Took our two older dogs in for arthritis and allergy issues. Felt incredibly rushed by the vet. Our boxer's ear is filled with fluid and instead of offering any suggestions the vet immediately said we needed to cut open her ear and do a full procedure. He didn't even give us the chance to explain that this has happened before and all they did was drain it. We also went in to get their annual vaccinations but the vet never even asked about them, so we left without getting their shots. Definitely taking them to a different vet! Read Less

I must first disclose that this review was about something about 4 years ago. I do also want to add that i was greatful for the survice because they did do what they thought was best. However i will never forget i was about 14 when me and my dad went to take our dog of 10+ years to put her down. At the time my mini weenie dog was very sick and we didnt know why so we took her in too. I was very young and sad holding my mini weenie fearing the worst. So they took our other dog and put her down and took a look at my mini weenie as well. As me and my dad were in the waiting room the vet cam back to us and disclosed in the rudest way that my dog was sicker than we though by saying "We might have a double wammy on our hands" I will never forget it i burst into tears! Later we found out that her nerve in her back was pinched and her legs would stop working. They injected steroids in her legs to possibly help it. Later they realeased her to us without letting us know that a reaction to this would be bloody stool. This scared me later when she was back home! But when they realeased her to us the day after and didnt tell us what to do about her. I had her for only 3 days after and she had very bloody stool and no contol of her bowles and they didnt tell us this could happen either. I had her for thoes 3 days then had to take her to a pet ER in albuquerque and had to have her put down :( But again i apprecate that they did what they thought thought was right. But i will never go back there and will always remember what he had said to me. Read Less

This is the worst things I could've done to my poor baby girl. I took her to get spayed and the stitches look like they where done by a beginner. Part of her skin is pinched in with the stitches so there is a fold in the skin. The incision is terribly curved and it looks like there are two incisions shaped into a Y. To began with they quoted us $140 for a 12lb female and with tax it was $156 but the total came out to $211. They charged us for things we didn't even ask for and expected us to pay for it. I won't ever go back nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone. Read Less

This hospital is outstanding. I highly recommend it. Dr. Van Otten really cares for your pet and is the best Vet in Los Lunas.

This is the worst things I could've done to my poor baby girl. I took her to get spayed and the stitches look like they where done by a beginner. Part of her skin is pinched in with the stitches so there is a fold in the skin. The incision is terribly curved and it looks like there are two incisions shaped into a Y. To began with they quoted us $140 for a 12lb female and with tax it was $156 but the total came out to $211. They charged us for things we didn't even ask for and expected us to pay for it. I won't ever go back nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone. Read Less
