Last week, I took my guinea pig in to be seen by them, as he had been showing signs of illness. We had a 4:00 pm appointment, to which we were on time for and called to check in. It took half an hour for someone to come out to help us, which I tried to be understanding about (things get busy, I get that). They finally came out, took his history, and took him inside. We didn't hear anything from them until 5:30 pm when they called to collect payment. Again, we had not spoke to anyone about what was going on with our pet and when I asked how he was doing, I was told "I don't know, I just answer the phone". Okay, that didn't sit well with me but I knew that they closed at 5:30 and were probably trying to get things taken care of for the night. 15 minutes later, a tech finally walks out with our pet and says that the vet thought he had "some upper respiratory issue" and to give him some antibiotics. Now, I've taken my other pets to other clinics during the pandemic as well as my parents pets in to other clinics and every time the vet has called and spoken to us about what was happening with our pet and that did not happen at all with this clinic. The tech was ready to send us off at that point, but I knew that guinea pigs should not be on antibiotics without some probiotics. I asked her about that and she laughed about it and told me that "the vet said something about that, we must have just forgot about it". She went inside and then returned with two large capsules of probiotics and told me to just mix of a pinch of it with water and give it to him. What the hell kind of dosing is that? This interaction did not sit well with me all week, so i called at the beginning of the week to express my concerns and was told I would get a call back from the vet. Its now 2 days later, and I have not heard anything from them. I called to try again and they didn't answer my call, so I left a message specifically asking for a call back. I then received an automated text message asking what they might be able to help with, and I again asked specifically for a call back but instead got a text message basically saying that the vet would call me when he got to it, which I doubt. Overall, they have conducted themselves incredibly unprofessionally, and I would not recommend them to anyone as it is NOT okay to treat your clients and their pets this way. Read Less
