Took our dog here because we couldn't get him in anywhere else and he doesn't have a regular vet. The nurse spoke to us asked a few questions and then they took our dog to the back (without us) to examine him. Then the vet comes in the room to talk to us (without him) and I had to basically pry any info out of her. I hear him screaming and yelping in the back and I asked if that was him and she said yeah they are cleaning him. They didn't even ask if they can or tell me that they were going to. I feel like they did not examine him entirely. Or really tell me any other options to take care of him. So he is better now but not because of their care. I wouldn't go back here again.Read Less

Our dachshund Bruce was recently stung by a bee. He had a terrible reaction and looked like he had a case of the mumps. I called High Desert Animal hospital and the lovely receptionist (i'm so sorry I don't remember her name.) got Bruce in on a same day appointment. We arrived at our appointment time and were promptly taken back to the exam room. Dr Sarah is a wonderful veterinarian, she had a lot of compassion for Bruce and and his predicament. She discussed a treatment plan with us and took Bruce to the back. He received 3 shots, and was kept for a few hours for observation. We picked Bruce up later that afternoon and he was already looking better!Dr Sarah was very kind and very helpful. She clearly outlined Bruce's treatment plan and even gave me tips for at home care. When the time came to pay, our bill was incredibly reasonable.Overall a wonderful veterinary experience, I will be taking my pups back! Read Less

We needed a quick, same day visit for our brand new puppy. They were able to fit me in and take the time to explain what I needed to do to care for our newest family member. The doc was thorough and patient with me and very gentle with our new puppy. She addressed all my concerns and didn't recommend any unnecessary treatments. "We sell liver flavored supplements here, but you can get them from Costco for much cheaper, so that's what I would do." I felt she didn't try to up sell me on anything, which is an issue I've had with vets before. Highly recommend this clinic. We will be using this clinic to provide primary care for our pets. They are centrally located in Rio Rancho off Southern and Peggy (east of the McDonald's). We are very satisfied with the services received.Read Less
