Ray Loretto was my Veterinary for 15 years. All of my pups were saved by his care and understanding, especially in an emergency. I lived 55 miles away from any facilities, and on three occasions when my dogs were injured by bears, Dr. Loretto came to his clinic (which was closed) and performed life saving surgeries for my Dogs. There was no extra cost, he did this for the love of animals.
One incident my dog Knuckles had been shook by a bear, the wounds looked like bullet holes, he suggested X-Rays, the X-Ray showed no metal, he then asked if I wanted the area opened for exploration (her back was extremely swollen) I gave Ray the go ahead. a few minutes later he came back, looking happy and excited, he said "It's a good thing you agreed, the dogs Lumbar muscle was shredded like spaghetti", I of course was happy and sad all at once, and he exclaimed "I can fix this!" he put 104 stitches in her Lumbar muscle, and saved her life. The second time, had a huge slash inside her back leg, no blood but visible tissue and bone, I called on a Sunday and Ray said he would open the clinic, He sedated my dog and proceeded to clean the wound, I was assisting and started to get wobbly in the knees, just as I was ready to faint Ray exclaimed her Muscle is missing. My friend assisted and ray sutures the main inside hind leg muscle with 82 stitches, My lovely dog lived a happy healthy life to the age of 17 years old. She never limped or showed scars from Ray's excellent work.
Ray worked with all of my dogs with care and great humaneness, I would recommend him any time! Read Less
