Dr. Cox is the best! He's cared for all our dogs (even a cat or two) for years. Outstanding on every level: knowledge, skills, compassion, management--not cheap, but the best.

Great staff, friendly and caring. Dr. Humphrey is excellent and changed my labs life around. My dog had bad GI issues his first year, and then switched to Dr Humphrey. Thanks to Dr. HUMPHREY , he helped him immensely and also found out he had food allergies. Dr. Cox is great and also very knowledgeable. Great team, highly recommend!

Dr. Cox, Dr. Humphries, Blanca, and all the rest were wonderful with my dog Chico, who, thanks to them, has enjoyed more lives than the luckiest cat. Chico first went to see them with a case of kennel cough after we adopted him at the age of 3. He is 15 now (16 soon, if we're lucky), and I owe his longevity to this caring, friendly group of folks. We just moved to San Antonio, and one of the most bittersweet moments of our move was knowing we wouldn't have Chico's pals to care for him anymore. You won't get better care than you will at El Abrigado. I will miss you all!

My dog Penny needed emergency surgery after becoming ill overnight. I had been referred to El Abrigado Animal Clinic from the work Dr. Cox does for our community during his quarterly vaccine drives. Let me tell you the best thing I did for Penny was coming to this clinic. Not only were her immediate needs met, but after a full assessment she also had some other heath issues solved that could have put her in worse health after her surgery. Every detail was explained to me and personal attention was given in our visit. When I called the clinic I was able to speak directly to Dr. Cox before and after the surgery. His office staff including Raul and Blanca were very helpful. All of this excellent care for a first time patient. Thank you El Abrigado!!

Dr. Cox, Dr. Humphries, Blanca, and all the rest were wonderful with my dog Chico, who, thanks to them, has enjoyed more lives than the luckiest cat. Chico first went to see them with a case of kennel cough after we adopted him at the age of 3. He is 15 now (16 soon, if we're lucky), and I owe his longevity to this caring, friendly group of folks. We just moved to San Antonio, and one of the most bittersweet moments of our move was knowing we wouldn't have Chico's pals to care for him anymore. You won't get better care than you will at El Abrigado. I will miss you all!

My dog Penny needed emergency surgery after becoming ill overnight. I had been referred to El Abrigado Animal Clinic from the work Dr. Cox does for our community during his quarterly vaccine drives. Let me tell you the best thing I did for Penny was coming to this clinic. Not only were her immediate needs met, but after a full assessment she also had some other heath issues solved that could have put her in worse health after her surgery. Every detail was explained to me and personal attention was given in our visit. When I called the clinic I was able to speak directly to Dr. Cox before and after the surgery. His office staff including Raul and Blanca were very helpful. All of this excellent care for a first time patient. Thank you El Abrigado!!
