I have recently started going to Albany County Veterinary Hospital for my cats since it is close to my house. The staff was very friendly however, I was waiting about 20 minutes after my schedule appointment for my cat to be seen. Additionally, there is no separate area for cats and dogs to wait, so my cat was very freaked out while he was waiting. However, once we were in the room the vet and tech were very knowledgeable and very friendly. If you live close by I would definitely give them a try.

After telling me the exam fee was only 50$'s they insisted on xrays and never told me that would increase the price.
It ended up being 250$'s and they put my cat on pills that weren't necessary nor made a difference for months.
They sell you useless pills after bait and switching you all for the money!
They don't care about your pet, they care about how much they can diagnose your cat to see how much money they can get out of you.
PLEASE DON'T GO HERE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE.

These esteemed people misdiagnosed my cat. They did refund my money, however once much cat went into diabetic failure and they made an emergency appointment with me on a weekend, they called back and cancelled it enough route to their practice. My cat almost expired. Most ethical vets would stabilize the animal until you could see emergency or your cet, but not these individuals. They held the fact that I requested my money back for their original misdiagnosis against me in a time of
crisis for my pet. There is a special place in Hello for health professionals like this. AVOID like the plague.

We loved Albany County Veterinary Hospital! They were warm, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Dr. Jarvis has an easy 'bedside' manner that made both me and my pets feel comfortable. She is very patient and I felt she was genuinely concerned for my pets health. The staff on a whole was professional and caring. We called a few times with concerns and they gave great council over the phone, too! We have since moved out of the area but I would recommend them to anyone in Albany!

I have recently started going to Albany County Veterinary Hospital for my cats since it is close to my house. The staff was very friendly however, I was waiting about 20 minutes after my schedule appointment for my cat to be seen. We moved out of the area recently and need to transfer vet. It is hard to leave seeing as they have cared for our pets with the best service for over 9 years. My dog has had some serious health issues and they have been the ones to help him live a healthy and happy life. We will greatly miss ACVH and will highly recc. them to anyone that ever asks.

It was a wonderful surprise to receive a card after from Dr. Pokorny. It was a very nice thing to get while mourning my loss. Will never go anywhere else for the care of pets.

We loved Albany County Veterinary Hospital! They were warm, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Dr. Jarvis has an easy 'bedside' manner that made both me and my pets feel comfortable. She is very patient and I felt she was genuinely concerned for my pets health. The staff on a whole was professional and caring. We called a few times with concerns and they gave great council over the phone, too! We have since moved out of the area but I would recommend them to anyone in Albany!
