I totally trust them! I am always a skeptic when it comes to health care especially for dogs because I am not sure if they are recommending a procedure to make money or because it is really necessary. No one wants to put their dog through any pill, shot, or procedure that is not necessary. The staff was very friendly, nice clean looking place. Although I feel like they over charged me way to much getting my 13m female cat spay. I also purchased the low cost spay/neuter certificate for $85 and I still ended up paying over $300 after the spay and testing was complete. Read Less

My husband and I took our dog in to the vet and they performed unnecessary testing that equaled almost $400. Our dog had a UTI, and they had us check her for kidney and bladder issues when The test they should've ran was want to check if she had a UTI first before all the other tests to rule out a UTI. They also missed the fact that she had an ear infection for which we had to bring her back to weeks later to get the medication. When we asked for some kind of financial compensation after spending in 2 visits over $700 they said there was nothing they could do and if we would like our documentation sent to us so we can find another vet. We would do anything for our dog but to have unnecessary stress over an illness that they knew she didn't have and for them to be so cold to not give us any of our money back and to tell us to go to another vet essentially I would never recommend anyone take their animals here because all they care about is money. Each of the employees has taken the time to get to know me personally, as well as my family whom I referred to them. They took amazing care of my baby girl Hilda when she had to have surgery, and were incredibly supportive when I had to put her down. Any time I need to stop in for something, they always ask how my animals and family are and make me feel comfortable and cared for. We took our new puppy Starla for her first Check up and we just love this place. The people are so nice and the facility is very clean and neat. They gave her the shots she needed and explained everything about them to us. Best of all they didn't pressure us into anything that was not necessary to up-charge our visit like our pervious vet. Love this practice. I would travel far and wide to see Dr. Decker! The techs are all very professional and kind. My dog has been antsy and squirmy at a previous vet practice. At Killewald, he is calmer and my partner and I completely trust the techs and Dr. Decker to work with him. My cat is traditionally shy and spends her time hiding. At Killeward, she lets people pet her. Dr. Decker takes her time and explains everything in detail. The people she works with make sure we have everything we need. I highly recommend Killewald. A star for the receptionist and one for the actual vets attitude , how ever the vet tech (i didnt get her name) she had long brown hair was very rude after my dog got neutered and his eye popped out of his socket while they were starting anesthesia, she was laughing and i asked her what was so funny and she said "oh nothing just the pathetic look on his face" by the way i was charged for them to put the eye back in. I am using the Friends of Animals spay and neuter program to get my dog neutered. It covers many things including the pre-surgical visit and pain meds post-op. This place told me they would be charging me for that. I'm going somewhere else. Read Less

My pets have been patients at Killewald's since they were babies. The staff is very friendly, helpful and LOVE LOVE LOVE animals. They are very accommodating, even when "mommy" messes up and arrives too early for an appointment. Oops. Strangely for pets, when I mention it's time to go see the vet, they get excited for the trip. Peeved.The first few times I came here I've had a great experience, however my latest visit was also my last visit. My cat has been getting urinary infections every year around this time, and this year was no different.  I recently moved to Akron and wanted to keep going with this vet as they're always been extremely kind to me and my pets.  After calling the vet to get a quick appointment they got me in within 3 hours to look at her, great news!  Fast forward to yesterday with her post infection check up.  I heard my cat meowing angrily at the back (hear it all the time when my dog tries to lick her - oh man). Her results were inconclusive and they told me I'd have to come back in.  That wasn't a problem, I'm absolutely willing to put in 35+ minutes (each way) of driving for my cat.Like it was suggested, I had locked my cat in the bathroom for an hour before our drive to the vet so her urine would be full.  I get to the vet, wait around twenty minutes and get told her urine was empty - again.The vet tech who came out was EXTREMELY rude.  I can deal with ignorant employees, but when I'm explaining to her that I'm not simply driving across the street every day to get there and it's not really possible for me to keep making these long, gas guzzling journeys for nothing. She cuts me off.  Which is fine, hey, she obviously felt like that's A+ customer service.  But when I asked if I could leave my cat there for a couple hours, she looked down at her watch while I was talking as if my cat and I were an inconvenience.  THATS where I draw a line.  Why the ** am I going completely out of my way to take my cat to a vet office where an employee does not care about my pet? An employee who was HANDLING my cat and "checking" to make sure she was healthy?  I will never put her life and well being in the hands of an ignorant and patronizing employee who acted like we aren't worth her time.  I'm absolutely shocked and disgusted at the treatment we got, and it does not matter to me how friendly the receptionists or the vet was.  I refuse to let someone like that touch my pet.  Her life is worth more than a rough handling, rude as sh** technician, and I will be taking her and my pup to a new vet.  Unbelievable. My husband and I recently adopted a kitten from the SPCA. We had been waiting forever to adopt since we lived in an apartment that didn't allow pets, but now that we own our house we knew it was time. So we adopted the cutest orange tabby furball there ever was. We got a free vet visit with the adoption so I took our fur baby Leopold here. My mother in law takes her two dogs and one cat here, so I was referred. Leopold was a good kitten and the staff was sweet and helpful. They make your pet feel at ease and will show you how to administer medicine or answer any questions. As a first time pet owner I had lots! They also demonstrated how to clip his kitty claws. I hope I will only need to bring little Leo for his yearly checkups, but I have confidence in the staff and like this vet office. Read Less
