I have been coming to this clinic for over 7 years with kitty, who always received the utmost care. The staff, the vets and the vet techs have always been gracious. Unfortunately, he got cancer when he was older and I had no choice but to put him down in this facility. I was devastated, but the clinic took such good care of me and my kitty and gave me so much kindness and understanding.Nearly 2 years later, I adopted a rescued kitty, who had been abandoned and living in the streets. At the clinic, I was greeted by two young new girls who were in the patient room with me. One of them took my kitties temperature, while they joked to each other about how the other girl accidentally stuck the thermometer in a cat's vagina instead of her anus. Just adopting a female kitty, that was absolutely horrendous to hear! After asking a bit about my cat, they proceeded to chat very loudly and animatedly amongst themselves. They were candidly discussing other patients and how some people had the audacity to ask how much emergency care costs. It is absolutely disgusting to make fun of people who may not have financial troubles and have deal with a sick pet at the same time!! Disgusting!! While I was waiting for the vet, they continued to talk and laugh and share how disgusted they were at someone's dog and even more personal conversations about patients and their owners. It was absolutely unprofessional!! I was fuming and I was afraid to say anything because I would have screamed at them. Finally the vet came to check my kitty and they were still there talking loudly amongst themselves. At my whits end, I told them to stop talking over me while I am speaking to my vet - to which they left the room. I kindly conveyed to the doctor that I'm a bit anxious and that I had put my other cat down in this same examining room last year. Her remark was less than comforting, she said "the girls are young" and that's it. That's not an excuse!! That's totally unprofessional! I told her that I need calm energy in this room with my cat, which she conveyed one of the girls when she came back in. The rest of the 1/2 hour of examinations went well, but I'm still left with a distaste of the new staff they are hiring and allowing such unprofessionalism. I told the vet that the rescue org said they vaccinated her and spayed her. But, she couldn't find any signs of the spaying and then she said we should vaccinate her anyway. For a rescued, traumatized kitty, getting two vaccinations in short amount of time could be harmful. I told her that I'd rather wait to find out. Doing a little research on the internet, it could have possibly put my kitty in anaphylaxis shock! Also, I shared with the vet that I think my kitty might be deaf, but she didn't do any tests to try to figure this out. She told me to test her at home, myself. That was not very comforting. My kitty is my child, my baby and my heart! No one would allow this sort of behavior with a human child and nor should they. The facility has been really great to my other kitty, but I would highly recommend that they find new vet techs immediately! They need to find people with kind hearts, understanding and compassion. I don't care what their age is. Until they re-train and/or change their current staff, I will not be coming back. I would rather spend my money elsewhere. Read Less
