If I coIfuld give Cayuga Veterinary Clinic zero stars I would! Over the past 5 years I have taken several animals and spent well over a $1000 in services at your clinic. In July of 2022 my husband called in regards to an elderly cat that was a patient of Cayuga Veterinary. The cat had gone downhill quickly and needed to be euthanized. He was told that they were booking appointments 3 weeks out and would not be able to get him in sooner. I was completely shocked by this and thought there must have been some kind of miscommunication. So, I called back myself. I explained the cat was a patient of theirs, she was suffering and needed to be euthanized. I was told that they would not be able make an appointment for me today. I explained I just want to end her suffereing and we did not need to stay in the room with her if that would make a difference. I was again told they could not help me and I would need to take her somewhere else. Where is the compassion? How can a clinic that is supposed to help animals turn them away? Especially if they are a client of yours! Im disgusted and you should be ashamed!

Dr Echols is kind but doesn't explain why your animal should get specific care. She just recommends specific procedures. I didn't find out until after my cat had to be out to sleep that he had stoma...
Dr Echols is kind but doesn't explain why your animal should get specific care. She just recommends specific procedures. I didn't find out until after my cat had to be out to sleep that he had stomach cancer. All of his tests had focused on kidney care for his renal disease. This has made my grieving so much worse.On my last visit to Cayuga the older receptionist who never smiles said "I'll never know why my cat died."On the same evening a young vet assistant was crying as she cleaned the office.Extremely unprofessional service with terrible communication.

In my experience the owner isn't very ethical. He would do surgery on pets that his staff were not comfortable anesthetizing, and the outcomes weren't always good.

Dr Megan is absolutely wonderful. I completely trust her with all my pets. She was very compassionate when it came to end of life care for my moms 22 year old kitty Deedee. Also Dr Tsarna was so wonderful when my kitty Elvis developed an aneurysm suddenly early morning hours. I can't say enough great things about Cayuga Veterinary Services. I've been with this practice for approximately 10 years and will always come here for all my pets needs.

I love these people, from the vets to the vet techs to the front desk staff. They are great with the animals and will take all the time I need to explain what is going on and review all my options. I value their opinions and their knowledge. I have taken my personal pets and well as some neighborhood cats and they treat all of them with the same importance.

This vet refused to wait 1 day for payment and perform emergency surgery on my dying cat. She had been in labor over 24 hours and kittens were dead inside her. He said " ive gotten into trouble playin...
This vet refused to wait 1 day for payment and perform emergency surgery on my dying cat. She had been in labor over 24 hours and kittens were dead inside her. He said " ive gotten into trouble playing bank". MONEY WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SAVING THE LIFE OF AN ANIMAL....
He told us, after I dicing her again if she hadn't given birth by the next morning to bring her. She hadn't, so we called. The receptionist REFUSED to call him, as he instructed. Said he was booked, and would not perform surgery on our cat. He lied, she covered for him and my cat died. A long , drawn out painful deaths i already left a review, and someone had even commented, but somehow these sleeve bags had it removed. God forbid a loved pet needs immedietly help and you don't have all the cash on hand...dont waist your time coming here. These people need to get a job, down the road at the mall...no business claiming they care for animals. It's MONEY thats top priority. I'll also add...that the next day..my cat was brought to another vet, WHO WAS PAID OVER 1000 IN FULL...but it was too late.

I took my new (to me) doggo there for a checkup and some vaccinations. Also as a first time dog owner, I had a lot of questions, which were all answered well. They took their time with both me and my furry friend and you can tell they all love animals. All the staff I encountered were great to deal with. I wouldn't take her anyplace else next time.

This veterinary office is top of the line. I have been coming here for 4 years, and have not had a better experience anywhere else, ever! They are very loving to the animals, and respectful of the animal and the owner. I can't say enough good things about the staff here. My pets enjoy going there and have never shown fear as they had a other offices.

I took my dogs to Cayuga Veterinary Service for over 15 years and knew we were getting spoiled by the excellent service and care we received there. After moving 3 hours away I have tried several local vets for my current dog and have not found any services that even come close to that of Dr. Dale O. & the whole staff at CVS. So I have decided it is worth the drive to put my pets care in the best hands available. I will always be very grateful for all they have done for me & my pets there!

I've been taking my dogs to Cayuga vet services since they both were pups. One is now 5 the other is 6. The staff is always courteous, and the service is wonderful. All seem to care very much about my babies, which in turn makes me comfortable. I do think they are a bit pricey though and when I was out of work they had no plan or alternative to aide in the up keep in care of my beloved dogs other than credit one...another bill while out of work is not what I needed, but my babies needed their shots!!! What do you do???Cayuga vet didn't seem to care what I did if I didn't have the money, though I've spent thousands there when I did??? Not even a suggestion? Great service as long as you can pay!!! And I do understand that!!

Horrible service, horrible experience. Would NEVER EVER bring my animal there again, or recommend him to anybody else. Dr. Ottosen even went as far as to alter our pet's records after we left his off...

These ppl are scam artists. First Dr Megan is great this doesn't include her. I called Sat at 9am they called me back told me to come in at 130. I got changed $90 for emergency even though I called to make sure I could come in. They made the time not me. Their reason was that they don't take ppl after 130 on Sat. If that's true why did they tell me to come in. My dog could have waited. Also it says they are open until 2. Record your conversations with them so they can't go back on what they tell you. Also they wouldn't let me challenge the charge they told me I couldn't leave until I paid. When I did call the challenge they wouldn't let me talk to the right person I had to explain my side and they passed on the message.

Nice people. Clean, looks to be up to date. Concerns before exam were addressed clearly and completely. Vet asked "the usual" and a few new questions. Hours are EXCELLENT.... who is open 8am til 8pm ?...

(I was there at 10 AM but wow, nice for the typical daytime worker) Estimate given for potential "tooth removal" from pet... who gives a printed estimate of "low to high" prices? I did have to wait a bit @ appointment time, but <10 minutes.... I'll be back.

We are from Florida and my beagle, Cooper had a cyst/mole on his eyelid that he scratched so much that it started to bleed. He also gave himself a black eye from the scratching. They worked us in, scheduled surgery to remove and he was ready within 2 hours. Doctor Ottosen even called me as soon as Cooper was awake because he knew I was so nervous. Thank you again to you and all of your staff for being so helpful to us this morning.

This clinic was amazing, my dog was sick and no clinic would take him that day because he would need surgery, they took him in found that he had cancer( that a previous vet had missed even though it was clear in x-rays and though his blood work) he had to be put down that day but the vet and techs were extremely professional and caring toward me which I rarely got from the past vet that I have had. I will be coming back here for future pet care.

If I coIfuld give Cayuga Veterinary Clinic zero stars I would! Over the past 5 years I have taken several animals and spent well over a $1000 in services at your clinic. In July of 2022 my husband called in regards to an elderly cat that was a patient of Cayuga Veterinary. The cat had gone downhill quickly and needed to be euthanized. Dr Megan is absolutely wonderful. I completely trust her with all my pets. She was very compassionate when it came to end of life care for my moms 22 year old kitty Deedee. Great staff with knowledgeable and caring doctors. Our dog Tank has always been comfortable and more than happy to see all the techs; even after months and months of visits for several items and most recently a flawless neutering procedure.

Horrible service, horrible experience. Would NEVER EVER bring my animal there again, or recommend him to anybody else. Dr. Ottosen even went as far as to alter our pet's records after we left his off...

These ppl are scam artists. First Dr Megan is great this doesn't include her. I called Sat at 9am they called me back told me to come in at 130. I got changed $90 for emergency even though I called to make sure I could come in. They made the time not me. Their reason was that they don't take ppl after 130 on Sat. If that's true why did they tell me to come in. My dog could have waited. Also it says they are open until 2. Record your conversations with them so they can't go back on what they tell you. Also they wouldn't let me challenge the charge they told me I couldn't leave until I paid. When I did call the challenge they wouldn't let me talk to the right person I had to explain my side and they passed on the message.

They are very caring about their furry patients. They take the time to explain procedures in layman's terms and address our concerns quickly. We wouldn't take our animals anywhere else!

Nice people. Clean, looks to be up to date. Concerns before exam were addressed clearly and completely. Vet asked "the usual" and a few new questions. Hours are EXCELLENT.... who is open 8am til 8pm ?...

(I was there at 10 AM but wow, nice for the typical daytime worker) Estimate given for potential "tooth removal" from pet... who gives a printed estimate of "low to high" prices? I did have to wait a bit @ appointment time, but <10 minutes.... I'll be back.

We are from Florida and my beagle, Cooper had a cyst/mole on his eyelid that he scratched so much that it started to bleed. He also gave himself a black eye from the scratching. They worked us in, scheduled surgery to remove and he was ready within 2 hours. Doctor Ottosen even called me as soon as Cooper was awake because he knew I was so nervous. Thank you again to you and all of your staff for being so helpful to us this morning.

Exceptional care. My only complaint is that waiting times can sometimes be long cm even with an appointment. Also, a little pricey, bit still the only place I trust

This clinic was amazing, my dog was sick and no clinic would take him that day because he would need surgery, they took him in found that he had cancer( that a previous vet had missed even though it was clear in x-rays and though his blood work) he had to be put down that day but the vet and techs were extremely professional and caring toward me which I rarely got from the past vet that I have had. I will be coming back here for future pet care.
