They've treated my pug from puppy till his last breathe, they were always kind, non judgemental and always worked with us financially. My Tibetan Spaniel, Daisy was choking on and apple and I wasn't able to get it out. I rushed her to Bayshore Animal Hospital and Christine and Dr Josh were so helpful. They took her in immediately calmed me down and were able to get the apple out of her throat. Dr Josh is the most caring and educated vet I have ever dealt with. Our cat had an ongoing cough, and then looked to have trouble breathing. Once she refused to eat we took her in to Bay Shore Animal Hospital. Doctor J was wonderful to work with. He was great with our cat, and also took the time to explain everything that was going on. We found out she had a collapsed lung from some kind of trauma (most likely jumping from a tree which she loved to do) After keeping her for two nights with Doctor J, we brought her back home and gave her the medication we were given. Was very pleased with this place to take care of my little buddy. My cat troubles has a upper respiratory infection. I was very worried and asked if I can make an appointment as soon as possible. I was given a time right away and attended to. I got my cats meds and was super surprised with the pricing. I was really expecting to pay a crazy amount for the visit itself and then the medicine. Fortunately, the pricing was reasonable and I was able to pay upfront. Hoping my little guy feels better but definitely recommend coming here for minor needs and in state of emergency. My dog had a cracked nail and my usual vet was closed so I ended up at Bay Shore Animal Hospital. I was able to get an appointment within an hour and was very happy with the service we received. Our beloved cat Stray was diagnosed with bone cancer. Very rare in cats. After a few visits to determine the best treatment, we as a family and with the expertise of the medical team we opted to amputate his back leg. Really great experience with Bay Shore Animal Hospital.   Brought my now cat there as a tiny kitten that a friend of mine found abandoned and alone.  He is now healthy and almost full grown, and they were wonderful with giving advice, etc.. Definitely on the more pricey side, but you get what you pay for.  The vets and the staff are very pleasant and accomodating. Read Less

Yes, they do a fantastic job and really do know there stuff. But if you want to remain friendly with them, you'd better be prepared to spend at least a thousand if your pet has a problem. I personally have dog insurance. P.S. Dr Dratch is my favorite.Read Less

The doctors are in it for the cash. After spending over 2,000 on test and not giving me any results they tried holding my dog hostage until I paid a certain amount off which is terrible to do to a family worried about their family member. Also to make it worse when my dog was sick we tried calling to bring him in and the doctor brushed it off and said he couldn't do anything and to bring him in the next day, but unfortunately my dog didn't make it overnight and we never got any results on any test. I don't even think they felt bad. I would stay away from here if you love your pets. Read Less

Me my girlfriend my toddler son and our dog named Luna came here to get Luna spayed. She had an infection and we explained this over the phone prior to coming in. They quoted us around 250-350 which was fine. When we got there the vet which is also the owners son checked Luna out. We had already been to sachem animal hospital so we had all blood work and x rays with us. He says since we were already diagnosed he would only charge 750 I asked him could he do any better ? The doctor said let me call my father . He returned 15 minutes later and first told us that if we left tonight Luna might die overnight then after seeing my girlfriend go into hysterical tears from that news he informed us that the price was not 750 it was now 1311.00 but he can help us and bring the price down to 1300 so he saved us a whole 11 dollars ! We immidiatly left with my whole family in tears and went to Grady animal hospital which refuted a lot of what he told us and worked out a great price and payment plan ! These people are con artists and they play on your love for your animals ! Please tread carefully !Read Less
