After going to my other vet 2x for my dogs scratched cornea and receiving nothing but antibiotic ointment, I decided to try another place, North Shore Animal Hospital. Background:My pup Sadie scratched her eye on a hike on December 31st when we were on vacation. We went to the ER vet here in the Cape on January 5th, and they gave us ointment and carprofen for the pain and swelling. $180Two weeks later, we went to our normal vet, they stained her eye and told us the same thing as the other place. They didn't give us anything else to repair her cornea, just more carprofen. They also told us that they would have to refer us to an opthalmologist if she wasn't better in a week. $150I am very satisfied with my experience here at NSAH because, they saw my little girl, gave her the dye stain, and then they drew her blood, made a serum from it, and put it in a tube for us to drop into her eye. They also gave us antibiotic drops which was easier to apply than the original ointment. THEN, they also gave us this corneal repair gel to help with the healing. All of this stuff wound up costing under $150. Amie the vet was wonderful and my Sadie girl trusted her. She was gentle and very patient as I asked a ton of questions. My only suggestion is that we get some newer furniture in the waiting room and the exam rooms. They were from like 1990 Also, I apologize to the girl at the front desk for weeping uncontrollably as I heard/saw a dog mama put her baby down. The nurses were visibly grieving with the mama and that solidified it for me. I'm sticking around Read Less
