Simply the best place for your animals. I moved to the city and had a closer regular vet but I still entrusted the spay of my cats to Brockport Animal Hospital. Amazing doctors, techs all genuinely care about the animals, and the environment is so animal friendly. If you live anywhere near here, do your animals a favor and take them here. Great place to go if you have ferrets. Dr. Edwards and his staff are great. And the price is reasonably comprable it's actually on the low side. The quality of care here has really declined. I went here with my dogs paw bleeding and the vet never saw my dog until I insisted. By law, if an animal arrives bleeding the vet is supposed to attend him, not the technician as was done in my case. The owner/vet literally told me "I am losing money because I am spending time on your dog." Really? My dog is bleeding and like any good owner, at a time like this, I would like a professional to see my dog which is also his legal obligation as a vet and owner. Worst place. Read Less

I've been bringing my cats here for over 20 years, and I will never go anywhere else. The doctors and staff here are top notch, their kindness and compassion for animals and their people is limitless. I've dealt with all stages of pet ownership with them, from evaluating strays, adopting a cat in need, spay/neuter, some chronically ill cats, emergency surgery and post surgical recovery care, routine check - ups, and end-of-life care. I have been going to Brockport Animal Hospital for 13 years. I have been recommending them to friends for just as long. My pets are my family and I pride myself on providing the best care for them. That is exactly what Brockport Animal Hospital has given them. The staff is not only friendly but very knowledgeable. They have always been able to figure out what was wrong with my pets even when it seemed ambiguous. Dr Edwards is simply the best. He takes his time with my pets and is very thorough. He's always educating himself on the latest in medical care for his patients and has a huge heart. I've also been to Dr Stockwell and Dr Deluca who are also exceptional. It's important that my pets (3 dogs and 2 cats) have the absolute best care they can have and by doctors that sincerely have a passion for caring for them (some vets don't but the ones at this hospital DO). Im confident that I can trust them to give my animals the best care and at a price that is reasonable. They have never suggested tests or x-rays that were unnecessary. Their goal is the best care and the best price so the animal can get well and have an optimal quality of life. Great service. Doctor Edwards is by far the best vet we've ever had. We live about 30 minutes away and we'll never go anywhere else. We take all 5 of our dogs there, and just took two litters of puppies there. He's quick, kind and easy to talk to. Great place to be. You really feel as if you've been taken care of. Read Less

I have taken both of my Chihuahuas to Dr. Edwards and at times , when needed they had seen other Vets there as well. My babies have gotten the best of care at Brockport Animal Hospital. My first Chi has passed on due to Kidney disease.She was brought back from deaths door by Dr. Edwards and his very caring staff. I am very grateful  for all that was done for her. I presently have a little guy with Leukemia and he has had a time of things. Due to the care he has received he has come through. I live in Webster and will take the 45-60 minute drive to get the kind of medical treatment for Jack that I have been getting only here. Anyone who is lucky enough to live in the area of that Veterinary Hospital should not hesitate to entrust the lives of their pets to this dedicated and empathetic group. The first time we took our new pup everyone was so pleasant and nice (probably because we had a 7 week old puppy). The vet we had was super nice and really good with our pup. We were referred to Dr. Pepper from our good friend and she is amazing. My problem is not with the vet it is with the lack of communication between the workers there and the receptionists. We were told by the doctor that she did not need to see her when her next shots were due and just to make a tech visit. the receptionist I spoke to was extremely rude and told me that she must see a vet because she "growled a little" the first time she was there (we were not told that at our previous appointment) then told me her second set of shots were due 10/7 but the paperwork I have says 10/14. So not only were we misinformed but now my puppy is not getting the care she should be getting. Not to mention, the receptionist continued to be rude and called me back at 9:55am asking if I could be there by 10:30. After I told her I lived 35 min away from there and have to leave work to go get her she was snarky and rude and said "so you can't make it? Ok, bye" Our puppy doesn't deserve this and neither do we. They always work to make animal care more affordable, usually pointing out that certain items can be had cheaper with coupons from the company website, or offering a lower cost first line treatment before doing something invasive. We are long time cat lovers and have been to many veterinarians. We switched to BAH years ago and are here to stay. We are responsible cat owners who give our cat all the preventive care he needs and care for him in a responsible way. I have read some negative reviews (which I take in stride) about BAH and have never had a bad experience with the staff or the veterinarians. It has been my experience that people who write negative reviews write them because they have not been responsible for a number of reasons; such as a lack of care for their pets and the staff tells them, or for some reason forget they have to pay and others who believe that it is acceptable to berate the support staff because they are frustrated or stressed about coming to the hospital. Not a good experience, the phone rings and never gets picked up, when you do manage to talk to a live person they are rude and unhelpful. We were trying to get a appointment for a sick animal and we were told the next appointment was in 2 weeks, as a alternative they suggested we call in EVERY DAY to see if a appointment opened up, not a great option since they never answer the phone. I would suggest the owners take a step back and evaluate their business plan before its to late, or perhaps they are so busy they don't care. Have been using this vet for years.. liked them for the majority of that time. Except the last year or so we've had numerous bad experiences: Doctor administering distemper syringe stuck it through-and-through my dogs skin, ended up squirting me all over. Dog had 6 staples put in for a wound, went to get them removed and they forgot one which resulted in me having to return a few days later, at least they didn't charge us to come back again. And the most recent, I had my dog vaccinated for Lyme disease. They sent out a reminder 20 days after he was due for his booster, and now I need to start over the vaccination process (in addition, I got blamed for this mistake). Next appointment is on March 17th to vaccinate my dog, if they take ownership for the mistake and cover the shot, that will be the deciding factor if I continue my business with them. Read Less

Their vets are decent but the staff at the front desk are usually rude, insensitive, and indifferent. When I could not afford to pay the entire bill at the time of service for my sick dog, I was told that I should have let them know before coming in that I wouldn't be able to pay the full amount (over $150). So I asked, how was I supposed to know how much the bill was going to be? ...Really, give me a break! I've been taking my dogs there for several years and have never not payed the full amount. In addition to making a huge deal about it, they also demanded to know my drivers license #, my employers contact info, and my social security #. Wow, I don't think so! All I gave them was my license # and they're lucky they got that much. They really have some nerve! We'll be introducing ourselves to one of the many other nearby vets very soon. Read Less

The doctors here are great and most of the people there genuinely care and love animals. They've gotten super busy the last couple years though and seem to be having trouble offering the same level of service. For such a busy place they should at least consider a second phone line. I kept getting a busy signal for an hour this morning before I finally got through to someone only to find out all the morning spots had been taken and that their week was pretty much filled up. The holiday weekend exacerbated things I'm sure but I've been going here since 2009 and I'm considering switching to a smaller vet, it's just too hard to get my cats in to see someone when they really need medical attention. The care and kindness that I have experienced at this practice is second to none. Dr. Edwards and Dr. Stockwell have pulled my Chihuahua and me through some very tough times. I've really never had a bad experience in 15 years and 10 animal. I've seen virtually every vet there, at one point or another. I feel their prices are reasonable (although I've never shopped around). I've never felt a need to !!! That should say it all. Would be nice to see more evening hours to accommodate work schedules, but you can't have everything ! Read Less

My chihuahua has been seen at Brockport animal hospital since she was a puppy. Everyone there is wonderful. Dr. Edwards is especially wonderful. You can tell he really cares about your pet. He takes his time to exam your pet and tells you exactly what you need to know. Their prices there are lower than the other vets I had gone to. My Sugar always gets the best care. I drive 20 minutes out of my way to go there and I would recommend them to anyone. Read Less

I brought my 8 week old kitten in when she vomitted. Dr. Littman was suppose to treat her, but ran tons of tests that had nothing to do with her symptoms, gave us some cefa-drops and sent us on our way. He claimed he was worried she would not make it through the night but at the same time he was not convinced she needed to be admitted into the hospital. How does that make sense? I am not sure. They are supposed to do everything they can to help animals get better, but I would not reccomend this guy. She did not get better, and she did pass away that next night. They treatment there was horrible. I am very upset with their preformance, and I most certainly will not go back to this doctor. Read Less
