This veterinarian Peter Montella is by far the most caring and nicest vet I have ever met.And I should know I have owned dogs for over 55 yrs! Been to many vets and not one vet is as thoughtful and good with animals as he is. If you love your dog or cat you go to him period!!! Not only is he that good but his prices are very affordable. Overpriced and rude . Got a blood test and regular check up the total was $282.  I went to another vet just a few days later , got the same services - a check up and the same blood test done (also got some heart worm meds ) the total was $97 for all of it . When I called and questioned the pricing here (thinking maybe there was a mistake) I was told " that's just how it is , if you don't like it you can go to another vet". Male Dr. sent away my pet who was in distress after waiting 1 hour because he thought he should be treated in the same 24 hour ER facility where his specialist works. 2nd Review of Marine Park Veterinary Group. My 1st review was a year ago when I first started taking my puppy there. Well, Chico is now 1 yr and 4 months and I think he loves them as much as I do. All the staff is great, especially Nikki, the Vet Tech and Anna, the receptionist. I haven't official had Dr. Montella as my Chico hasn't needed any services after his shots, however, I know he's great as well. We will be there for new shots this week but I'm sure I will have only good things to report! They are so caring and friendly and it is a pleasure to speak with anyone there! My veterinarian of 12 years had retired last December, so I chose Marine Park Group because of Dr. Montella's academic credentials and experience. I believe I have made a good choice for my cat. Highly recommend these guys. I am constantly surprised at how amazing the customer service is, not something you find at a vet. The doctors and there team are professional, friendly and have a great way with my cat and explaining everything that is happening. I think it is amazing that they take the time and call to see how my cat is doing after every visit. Also love that I can communicate and book apts without having to call them, so smart for a business and hard to find in BK. I recently switched to them and cant imagine ever going to any other vet. It's okay, I liked the doctor and the assistance. The front desk staff (younger women) wasn't too polite, she was busy having a conversation with a friend instead of checking my dog and I out. The office itself is a bit dated and definitely needs a face lift. My dog seemed calm and not to jumpy which is usually is, so that was calming. The wait was a bit longer than I expected. Ive been coming to this place for years now. It was good when I first started coming here. It has drastically went down hill. It is now very over priced and the staff is very rude. The staff acts like we are doing them a favor by being there. I took my dog in for a check to see if they can perform a surgery on her. They charged me $52 just for weighing her and taking her temp. What kind of bs is that? No courtesy.  I will be looking for a new vet. This place is crap. Save yourself the hassle and money and go somewhere else. Read Less

I was referred to this place by another groomer. My cat was suffering from very bad hair mats. My cat is very fresh so I wasn't sure what to expect. So during the exam the veterinary physician said she needed to be sedated in order for them to remove the hair mats, which was no surprise to me. During the whole exam and even before I got there the front desk administrator was very pleasant and nice. As well as, the veterinary's assistant was amazing and knew how to handle my crazy cat. The Vet Amy was very welcoming and a pleasure to be around. Before doing everything they also gave me an estimate of how much everything was going to cost before doing the actual exam on my cat. I was able to leave my cat there and go home. They told me a time that I should call to see how my cat was doing and an estimate of when they would be finish. The whole visit was AMAZING! It was a bit of a distance for me to travel but was worth every moment. And will do it again. Great care of my Canary Diamond (cat). Prices wss okay.. I've been taking my brother (my dog Chris lol) to Marine Park Vet since my family and I adopted him 10 years ago.  The vet's are really friendly and the employees are nice.  Their patient rooms also have themes so they are not boring white walls.  They have a cat room (pics of cats on the walls) a dog room and a reptile room which is green and has a jungle theme.  The only negative about the vet is the area. It's always hard to park around the vet.  But other than that the service is good.  The vet also has animals which are up for adoption in case you or someone you know wants to add a 4 legged friend to your family  :-)  They also have 2 office dogs behind the counter.  Daisy is a bulldog and I don't know the name of the other dog but they are both friendly. Dr. Montella is a life saver! I am new to the pet owner world and I just took on the responsibility of raising a 2 month old english bulldog Her name is Chubba. I was not sure where to go for her medical treatment and everyone that I had spoken to that owned dogs all had brought their pets to Dr. Montella. I know that when bulldogs reach adulthood they begin to have some breathing and health problems unfortunately my puppy was going through some issues from now. Dr. Montella went the extra mile and took the extra time to discover what was wrong and what to do. Luckily everything turned out ok. Dr. Montella backed me up when I had to confront the breeder about the situation (I only had the puppy for a week and I had gone to and an emergency animal hospital visit). Dr. Montella is all about the health and happiness about your beloved animals. I had only known him for a week and he had my trust 110%. He truly is one of a kind and I'm proud to say he is my vet! I have been taking my 3 dogs (long haired chihuahua / pomp-a-poo / & short haired chihuahua) to marine park vet group and have been using doctor pete montella as their vet for over 7 years. I trust him with my dogs he goes above and beyond for them and always makes sure you completely understand what is going on with your dog when we first got my 2nd dog dr montella actually did save his life and we are so grateful that we have such an intelligent trustworthy doctor - after all its not so easy to understand my dogs when something is wrong they don't speak and luckily we have an interpreter!
