I have been going to this clinic since the early '70's, when I suddenly found myself the mother of a stray cat. 45 years later, I still bring my animals there. I have a list of reasons: their expertise, humanity, frankness, compassion (not just for their furry patients, but for their patients owners as well) and I trust them. The care is excellent, and the people there, all the way around, have always been wonderful.

These wonderful people helped me when noone else would. I had decided to adopt an elderly cat that had a VERY sad back story, what the people at the adoption center didnt tell me was that he would need an almost full tooth extraction. This poor old timer was in terrible pain and wouldnt eat anything but i did not have 1500 plus dollars to help him with,. everywhere i went greedy "vets" wanted not only thousands of dollars for the extraction but kept trying to further bleed me with tests tests and more BS tests. And also refused to set up a payment plan or any type of credit. I refused to put this dude back into a cage, if he was going to b in pain it would be on a nice soft warm couch. CPA hospital not only did the surgey for a reasonable price, i suspect they all chipped in to knock off some of the cost. AND they had the heart to let me pay it off at my own pace. ANGELS....thank god they helped me and poor boomer. he was such a good cat and deserved so much better from life. because of these outstanding and heroic people my buddie Boomer spent his last months comfy and spread out on my lap with a stomach full of good food and endless backrubs. I have been taking my dogs to Central Park Animal Hospital since 1983. The same two vets have been there all that time, Dr. Latson and Dr Persico. We usually see Dr. Latson. He is very gentle and kind with the animals, and very knowledgeable. The facility is not state-of-the-art or fancy, but neither is it expensive. I've never felt like I was being overcharged for any services, nor did I ever feel that anyone was trying to sell me something that my dog didn't need. Also, the support staff has remained very stable over the years, which I think is a good advertisement for any well-run establishment. Although I moved approximately thiry minutes away from CPAH in 2002, for me it has remained worth the trip.

Amazing!! They truly care about your pet! They have provided the best care with compassion I have ever received for my pup. I am so grateful to everyone that is a part of this group. They are much cheaper than other animal clinics and they don't run unnecessary testing. The veterinarians are very intelligent, I have the highest respect for them.

This is a place where staff appear to be driven by the love of animals as much as or more than their love of money. I am very pleased that Dr Latson is open to alternative medicines and supplements in addition to the traditional kinda. They have been very fair in the pricing more the services performed. My dogs are like my children so I want them to have the best care that they can. One is a rescue who has a many behavioral issues. Central Park vet clinic has been my choice for their care for more than a decade. The vet techs, office staff as well as the vets are all kind and compassionate people. Superior care in my opinion.

Simple. These guys saved me $1200.00 for a surgery for my dog's broken leg. The cost was $875.00 for two surgeries and two overnight stays. I went here for a second opinion and have never looked back....
Simple. These guys saved me $1200.00 for a surgery for my dog's broken leg. The cost was $875.00 for two surgeries and two overnight stays. I went here for a second opinion and have never looked back.They truly care about your animal. Rockwell was crying so hard at the vet, after 2 overnights at the vet, that they held him for hours to calm him down. I am forever indebted! You can't get that kind of caring anymore. Took our little guy, Norman, next. 2 shots and office visit $75. (same at other vet- $210) I love my dogs and would pay whatever it takes to keep them well or make them feel better. But, it's simple stuff, folks. Quality care at lesser cost. Great people, caring, friendly staff. NEVER going anywhere else!!

I'm not sure why I'm the first to review this place, as they have been here for years and are always busy. But so be it.This is a group of "real vets" - they look after all sorts of pets here and are really good with the people too! We have had a number of dogs over the years and have taken them here when needed, usually for regular routine visits, but on occasion for sickness as well.You are known there by your pets name, not your own (at least we are), which I think is kind of cool. (Maybe other places do this too, I'm not sure.)They are busy, and appointments are best when possible.Oh and, they have easy parking, which, if you read my reviews, you know I always think is a plus.

I have taken both my dogs here for their entire lives. When my first dog died, they were wonderful, even taking the time to call me right after the death to make sure that I was OK. My second dog is currently seen there also. They don't overcharge you and are honest to boot!
