Recently left this office because they seem much more focused on expansion than actual patient care. It's a chore to actually get them on the phone, I haven't found a doctor there that I felt connected with my dog since dr. Andritz left and I was wholly put out by the fact that I was not told that she left. I found out only when I called to schedule an appointment and had to ask why they were trying to schedule my dog to see someone other than his regular doctor. A little disappointed. Got a new pup and on first visit they asked if I planned to spay her. I said yes but nothing more on the subject. Then I find out about the friends of pets program and they are part of it. I called about it a few times then was told I don't qualify for it because she's had more then one visit. Only new customers. Why wouldn't they tell me this on the first visit? And she's only been going here for two weeks a total of three visits. Still seems to be a new customer to me. We absolutely love this Vet! We took our Pitbull here for 15 years and they took such good care of him. We recently got a Labrador puppy and would not take her anywhere else. When we purchased her she had a free check at another Vet. They were no where near as nice, honest and caring as the veterinarians at City Creatures! Read Less

I have been using City Creatures for about 2 years now for my two Australian Shepherds. I came from another vet office that made you feel uncomfortable every time you called as if you were bothering them. I was so happy when I was referred here instead. Before coming to this vet I was making vet visits monthly for my girl who was always sick and they could never figure out what was wrong with her. I first saw Dr. Spires (who I miss very much) and she got down on the floor to play with my dogs while explaining to me what could be the issue. She was very kind and understanding that my girl had a reoccurring issue and that I don't have deep pockets to pay for vet visits every month. I was very grateful for that. Since switching vets I have only been here once or twice for my girls original issue, other than that its just routine check ups and shots. Every time I call they place me on hold but I don't mind, they always get me an appointment that fits my schedule (I love that they have night and weekend hours) and if I ever need shot records they will email them right away. I don't usually have to wait long if at all so I don't agree with the other reviews on long wait times. City Creatures Animal Hospital on Delaware is fucking horrible. Not the vet assistants, but the Vet tech/Owner surgeon or whatever.. was so rude and snarky. He literally said "I have no information, I know as much as you." So you got a degree to know nothing?Read Less

Vet Doctor was really rude and condescending, and literally said he didn't know what was wrong with my dog and had ZERO information. She had a tumor and he just gave us antibiotics and sent us on our way... our dog died a few hours after bringing her home. He did not tell us her vitals or anything. The nurses were very kind, but the Veterinarian was so rude and cocky. He didn't know anything is exactly what he said. I could've done his job for him. HORRIBLE. He also compared how he just put his dog to sleep a week prior like it was a contest. Grade A ass. Read Less

I have been with this animal hospital for 4 years now and would not take my Eli anywhere else. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Sood usually takes care of Eli and I trust her judgement completely. Dr. Albert is great as is all the staff. This hospital for my fur baby is the best. Read Less

I highly recommend City Creatures. I was sent there because my dog was diagnosed with cancer. They treated him with love and kindness every time we had to go in for a visit. They even cried along with me when we lost him. They are the most compassionate group of people and gave me more time than I thought I would have had with my dog. To my surprise, a week after I lost my baby, they sent me a beautiful poem with his paw print. I had been going to City Creatures for 5 years with my dog. Always spoke very highly of it and was very happy with services until recently. Last June one of the doctors pushed a flea/tick vaccine on me and wanted me to stop using the all natural spray I had been using. So I listened and paid for 6 months of a flea/tick preventative. Last month I had found out from one of the vet assistants there that what was given to me was NOT a flea/tick preventative at all. This past week my dog tested positive for Lyme Disease. The only thing the doctor could do was apologize for the "miscommunication." She also waived his urine test fee. I was supposed to receive a call back on his urine test the next day. Nobody would call me back or give me answers. I had to physically go into City Creatures and request a copy of the urine test, nobody explained what the results meant and the Vet would not meet with me. I am now switching vets and bringing his results elsewhere. I would highly recommend another Vet. I was also charged with vaccines that were not given to me. Like I said, I have been going here for years and always spoke very highly of City Creatures. My heart is broken after this mistake on their end, leading my dog to having Lyme Disease because I was told he was protected. The entire situation was handled very unprofessionally, with doctors not returning phone calls and not explaining anything to me.Read Less

I brought my ball python in to see them who was not doing well. Sadly by the time I got there she had passed away but the staff was super friendly and did everything they could for me. They were nice enough to send me a mould in memory of my beloved pet without any charge. From my short experience with them I can say with confidence I would recommend this location to caring pet owners. Read Less

Dr. Albert and the staff at City Creatures have been very helpful. Our dog, Riley, recently passed away unexpectedly (through absolutely no fault of City Creatures) and Dr. Albert has taken the time to help me understand what happened and bring some peace and clarity during this time. During Riley's life, Dr. Albert and the other doctors provided excellent care for my pet. The evening hours and Saturday morning office hours made it easy for us to find good appointment times. I would have given 5 stars, but sometimes the wait time on hold when I called on the phone was a little long - but overall, they do a great job caring for the pets in a professional and compassionate manner. My puppy Archer has been going to city creatures for a year and a few months now , since we got him from the shelter really . We are moving out of buffalo now and I say this - We'll miss this hospital ! the staff is just amazing especially Dr Sood . i never had any issues all the times i have been there neither has archer as he's always excited to go there despite all the vaccines . The wait time has always been 5 mins . The people are very nice on the phone and they are really sweet with Archer and he loves them as they are very generous with cheese bits ! Read Less

We take our 2 dogs and 1 cat to City Creatures for their routine care. They provide excellent service and are caring and concerned when dealing with our animals. Dr. JIM Albert and Dr. Heather take care of us, and always treat our animals as if they were their own. they return phone calls, make suggestions for treatment, and don'[t apply unnecessary pressure, like some places do.
