When we started coming here 2 years ago, it was a reasonably priced clinic we could take our dog to for routine shots. Since then the prices have gone up exponentially. This year was the last straw. After paying $311 for routine shots and 1 medication, we were then offered a $900 procedure to have my dogs teeth cleaned while sedated. I was then "scared" by being told they will have to extract her teeth soon (she's 2 years old and we try to brush her teeth). To add insult to injury, I was then offered a pet insurance for $80 a month as if I hadn't just paid enough for a routine visit. The kicker at the end was the survey that was sent out. When asked why we didn't elect the pet insurance or teeth cleaning "I don't care about my pet's health" was an option and implied. The whole experience left me feeling insulted and exploited. I care about my pet but paying $80 a month for health insurance is double what I pay for my own health care. 2 years ago I would have given Kenmore Animal Hospital 5 stars but now they get 2. Over priced and have numerous hidden fees. We always called ahead of time and every single time we did they told us there are no fees and once we actually got there it was " that will be 36$" here or "7.50" there. This place is a rip off, the first day we went we wanted the plan that started with 56dollars, we spoke over the phone before we got our first cat and she said it would only be 56 dollars then we get there and it wasn't until the middle of our appointment that they said it would be an extra 44 dollars since it's the first time. We also used up all of our visits in the first 3 times because they postponed certain things until your next visits. If im paying 700+ dollars why am I getting additional fees and being told what the money is for AFTER I already called an asked ? Then that next next appointment is when I can finally get my cat spaded ???? So now we are out of visit even after I told them at the very first one that my cat has a problem with his leg because he limps. Them thinking that I don't have a degree in their field that I don't know as much as they do they disregarded my comment and now that he is older and weighs more he can't run like when he was a kitten. He still limps and actually trips sometimes because of his leg. But I don't know anything right? Im just someone bringing their cat in just to pay almost a grand for him to be overlooked. I was so disapointmed in there service that I removed my card off of their plan so that i couldnt be rolled into another contracted agreement this coming up year. From then on I came in to pay the monthly balance right down to the nickle. But instead of removing my card the charged an additional month on there on a Friday right when she was leaving the office and when I messaged her about this she said that she wouldn't be able to do anything until Monday because she won't be in the office so I told them if they do that again there will be a very big issue. a day or too before it was even Friday i requested they remove my card and not only did they keep my information but they charged me literally right before they left the office. I will be finishing paying this place off because we want nothing to do with their services ever again and I would not recommend this place. You should only go there if you want to waste money and or you seem from around the area. Since we looked out of place we were treated differently and this is something that was tough for me to point out because I've never had it happen to me before and I don't want to assume that about a company but I just can't get over how we were treated by this place even from the first day. I love taking pup pup there.. everyone is so nice and extremely helpful.. they are all so caring towards the animals.. when my dog was diagnosed with mast cell cancer they made sure I had all the information I needed and answered all of my questions.. they put my mind at ease when scheduling her surgery. They love my old pup here almost as much i do. The vet took hours out of her day to go through my dog's emergency vet hospitalization results from a different clinic without an appointment or getting a penny. the docs and staff are great here. Read Less

I found Kenmore Animal Hospital from their google reviews and called because we had to get our little Puggle eye surgery for cherry eyes in both eyes. As fur parents we were very nervous but the doctor answered everyone of our questions and the entire staff was so sweet and really seemed to enjoy our dog. The day of the surgery went amazing and they called to check on her. When we returned for the checkup the doctor was so sweet and really made us feel welcomed. So much that we are changing to Kenmore Animal Hospital for her vet appointments. Read Less

I feel so lucky to be referred to dr Hawkins [ty tori] weve been through a lot, excellent prenatal care and advice before the puppies even got here, shots check ups and fixing them. they will be with dr Hawkins their whole lives! a top level surgeon through the lumps, bumps, ear infections and being fixed. not only does she care for my animals like there her own babies but has been so kind to me as well WAY above and beyond a regular vet. we also got to meet dr horner and peewee got fixed also very skilled on such a tiny little dog a wonderfull person and a perfect match to the staff, each one has treated us so well from the receptionist to vet techs and both doc Hawkins and doc horner were so gratefull to have you. thank you so much for all you do! gina lainie peewee Sammy and andrew Read Less

I used to go this vet for 3 years while I'm living in Amherst area. One of my friend recommended here to me for my senior cat when I just moved to this city. From the first day of visit, and until the last time, they have been taking care of my cat so amazingly. I got the Paws plan for a year for my cat to get awesome benefits and oral care. Also when she was sick and I was so panic, they were very professional and good cared of her! I really loved this place and feel sad that I have to find another place to bring my kitty where could give same trust and love as they did. (I'm moving away to Texas). The staffs and doctors are so nice and friendly, also professional. Dr. Hawkins usually took care of my cat and she is just amazing. And I often call to them to ask any little questions or concerns and every time they were so welcomed and nice. Our kitty has had chronic stomach issues his entire life, and had been to a few other vets where not much was done. On our first visit, comprehensive testing was done, and some symptom management offered before we had a real fix. We're waiting on results now, but even the temporary medication has made a huge difference for him! My girlfriend and I just got a new Bernese Mountain Dog puppy and we are so excited for him to be apart of our life. Before we picked out the puppy we knew we needed a good veterinarian. Kenmore Animal Hospital has proven to be that!!! The staff is very friendly and has really helped us to get a handle on how to properly care for a large breed puppy. Dr. Hawkins takes the time to speak to the caregivers about medical as well as emotional concerns. I just lost my cat Dusty. He had several medical issues. Her approach was professional and she did what she could under the circumstances. Unfortunately the heart murmur he was diagnosed with early on in his treatment took him away from us. We have been going to Kenmore Animal Hospital since it opened. We have two dogs who seem to enjoy going to the vet (as much as one can). Service has been great. Love the two waiting room concept since my dogs get a little crazier around other dogs. Dr.Hawkins has been so nice. She gets down on the floor with the dogs so they don't have to go up on the scary, metal table. My Franklin had a bit of an injured paw a few weeks ago and they got him in the next morning on a Saturday. Felt they were very concerned for me and for my dog as we were both upset. Usually on time for appointments too which is very welcome when you have a nervous dog waiting in an enclosed area. Would definitely recommend this practice. Read Less

Super efficient, super helpful, super friendly. I have a chihuahua mix, and I know she's not the best behaved, especially in new, strange places. The staff were super understanding and very professional. Dr. Hawkins is extremely nice, knowledgeable and understanding. She is able to give sound advice in cleqr terms and suggestions without being abrasive, which is always welcome. I also have to say my appreciation to the layout of the building. Two separate waiting rooms, closed off exam rooms, and an easy exit. We left Kenmore Animal Hospital, when I moved 3 years ago. Boy was that a mistake ! Came back when my dog Jake developed several tooth infections & our new vet just didn't know how to fix them. Dr. Hawkins took one look at Jake's mouth and knew what had to be done.She then backed up her diagnoses with medical evidence and came up with a plan.Solving Jake's problem within a week. My dog and I were new to Buffalo a couple years ago and it was a blessing to find a Veterinarian and staff that put me at ease. Dr. Hawkins is friendly, informative, and patient. You can tell the technicians really love their jobs. My pup is a bit anxious in general, and can be a prima-donna at the vet. 10/13/2015 The Veterinarians are amazing. They spend time with my fur-baby, answer my questions, explain thing in layman's terms and are just very friendly, caring and professional people. They show there love by interacting with the animals and seem to really enjoy taking care of them. The Vet technicians and other support staff are friendly, knowledgeable, professional and always have a smile on their face. My dog barks when he's in the waiting room which can be loud. The staff doesn't seem to be phased by the noise. I have recommended Kenmore Animal Hospital to several people. Their prices are reasonable, they don't preform unnecessary procedures and they follow up with phone calls. Sonny had his teeth cleaned and needed a tooth extracted. Dr. Hawkins called me at work, explained what needed to be down, then followed up with a call back when the procedure was finished.
