If I could give Village Veterinary 6 stars, I would.When we were looking for a new vet for our blind cat after moving, we asked for recommendations and perused Google looking for any spots that came highly regarded. After all, who wants to take their furry pal to a 2nd rate spot? After talking to some locals and seeing some reviews, it was clear that Village Veterinary was our spot. This was confirmed when we saw how many thank you cards, plaques, and other mementos they had hanging up from current and former "patients". Our cat is NOT a fan of the vet due to his blindness, so we were immediately impressed when the staff put is in a quiet room to wait as opposed to the general waiting room where you have dogs barking, cats hissing, and the general zoo-like nature of a veterinary waiting room. the appointments are usually running on time and they get you in and out.We are currently patients of Dr Jamie Hopper who is phenomenal! She has helped so much with educating us on the best care for our little guy. They have an adjacent surgery and emergency center so if you ever need help, they have the capabilities to handle it. I would not look anywhere else if you need animal care in Central New York.

They do not run unnecessary tests but will do so if needed. All of the doctors show concern and patience when answering questions. My do literally tries to drag me in there when we pull up. I have had the pleasure of being a client of this practice for over 15 years and had them care for one bird and four dogs over that time. Bird and fourth dog are still going strong. They have been there for us through multiple ER visits with two of the dogs. We truly value that we can bring our animals to them day or night and the same staff cares for them always. They have managed a complex seizure disorder, an emergent platelet disorder, two torn knee ligaments, vertigo and multiple routine well-dog and birdie visits. I have, over that time, met most of the vets and they have been fantastic. The front office staff and the vet techs are likewise caring and knowledgeable. When it has come time for three of the dogs to cross from this world, we have received tremendous compassionate care. I recommend this practice without reservation.

I can't say enough about the people and the service. They really care about your pet, on one occasion our cat, teddy was just about to head for cat heaven, but the doctors didn't give up, they gave him back to us like new. Best Veterinary Hospital ever. That was five years ago, They have been wonderful, We lost Teddy about 2 weeks ago, to cancer. They were great, but he has gone to cat heaven, we had him for a lot longer because of the great care he got there. we thank then for the great care they give our pets.

I recently started taking both my dogs here and let me tell you what a difference! After giving my last vet several chances for change (they had recently changed ownership, so I had hope) I had to do something. Everyone is extremely kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. I had only one visit in with my dachshund and just days later had a small emergency they got me in as soon as I could get there and took care of her right away. Yes it does seem a little more expensive, but with everything they offer is it really that much more? Plus the emergency fee is much less then going to an emergency vet. Having a 24hr vet that knows my dogs and their history is a huge weight off my shoulders. It's refreshing to go somewhere that the people truly care. I highly suggest the Village Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for the best care for their animals!

We have been using Village Vet for several years. They have always been accommodating for unexpected injuries/illnesses. When our dog was diagnosed with lymphoma a few years ago, they offered us several treatment options from the minimal palliative care to a four step (CHOP) chemotherapy. After discussing all our options and the costs involved with each, we decided on a low/mid-level treatment. Dr. Capella also recommended a change in diet and a natural supplement. We were able to spend another 9 months with our dog and we are thankful to the staff at village vet. They showed compassion throughout Maggie's illness.

I take all my Yorkies to VVh and have been for 14 yrs. I love the way they treat my babies, the care they get is second to none. I recently took my ill male to them and I'm glad I did. I was told that if I had waited until the next day, There would be no treating him. He stayed overnight and I had him back the following afternoon, in much better shape. He's happy and so am I, thanks to the staff at VVH. Thanks for everything!

As you can tell from my photo I am a standard poodle. What you can't tell is that I am fussy, prissy girl (yes to many people that is what a poodle is). Nevertheless, my two dads take me to Village Vet Hospital, we have to go a long way in the box with wheels (translation car) and it makes me anxious and my brother (he is a standard poodle too) is no help. I arrive all verklempt (oh did a tell you poodles are really german in origin - you probably thought we were French) - but the nice two-footers (translation - people) at VVH calm me right down and make me feel relaxed. I am getting a little older - a girl never tells her age - so we are coming more often but I always leave feeling better than when I arrived. Tell you parents to bring you here - they will take the best care of you. But don't bring your brother - because he will try to steal all the cookies.

The receptionists are helpful, the vets and assistants knowledgeable and caring, and the service operates 24/7. It's great to be able to get the same excellent care when there's an emergency.

I have been bringing my dog to Village Vet for almost 11 years. The care that everyone shows from the minute you call to when you check out is outstanding. They do not run unnecessary tests but will do so if needed. All of the doctors show concern and patience when answering questions. My do literally tries to drag me in there when we pull up. To me that is the best testimony of all!!

I have had the pleasure of being a client of this practice for over 15 years and had them care for one bird and four dogs over that time. Bird and fourth dog are still going strong. They have been there for us through multiple ER visits with two of the dogs. We truly value that we can bring our animals to them day or night and the same staff cares for them always. They have managed a complex seizure disorder, an emergent platelet disorder, two torn knee ligaments, vertigo and multiple routine well-dog and birdie visits. I have, over that time, met most of the vets and they have been fantastic. The front office staff and the vet techs are likewise caring and knowledgeable. When it has come time for three of the dogs to cross from this world, we have received tremendous compassionate care. I recommend this practice without reservation.

I can't say enough about the people and the service. They really care about your pet, on one occasion our cat, teddy was just about to head for cat heaven, but the doctors didn't give up, they gave him back to us like new. Best Veterinary Hospital ever. That was five years ago, They have been wonderful, We lost Teddy about 2 weeks ago, to cancer. They were great, but he has gone to cat heaven, we had him for a lot longer because of the great care he got there. we thank then for the great care they give our pets.

I recently started taking both my dogs here and let me tell you what a difference! After giving my last vet several chances for change (they had recently changed ownership, so I had hope) I had to do something. Everyone is extremely kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. I had only one visit in with my dachshund and just days later had a small emergency they got me in as soon as I could get there and took care of her right away. Yes it does seem a little more expensive, but with everything they offer is it really that much more? Plus the emergency fee is much less then going to an emergency vet. Having a 24hr vet that knows my dogs and their history is a huge weight off my shoulders. It's refreshing to go somewhere that the people truly care. I highly suggest the Village Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for the best care for their animals!

We have been using Village Vet for several years. They have always been accommodating for unexpected injuries/illnesses. When our dog was diagnosed with lymphoma a few years ago, they offered us several treatment options from the minimal palliative care to a four step (CHOP) chemotherapy. After discussing all our options and the costs involved with each, we decided on a low/mid-level treatment. Dr. Capella also recommended a change in diet and a natural supplement. We were able to spend another 9 months with our dog and we are thankful to the staff at village vet. They showed compassion throughout Maggie's illness.

I take all my Yorkies to VVh and have been for 14 yrs. I love the way they treat my babies, the care they get is second to none. I recently took my ill male to them and I'm glad I did. I was told that if I had waited until the next day, There would be no treating him. He stayed overnight and I had him back the following afternoon, in much better shape. He's happy and so am I, thanks to the staff at VVH. Thanks for everything!

As you can tell from my photo I am a standard poodle. What you can't tell is that I am fussy, prissy girl (yes to many people that is what a poodle is). Nevertheless, my two dads take me to Village Vet Hospital, we have to go a long way in the box with wheels (translation car) and it makes me anxious and my brother (he is a standard poodle too) is no help. I arrive all verklempt (oh did a tell you poodles are really german in origin - you probably thought we were French) - but the nice two-footers (translation - people) at VVH calm me right down and make me feel relaxed. I am getting a little older - a girl never tells her age - so we are coming more often but I always leave feeling better than when I arrived. Tell you parents to bring you here - they will take the best care of you. But don't bring your brother - because he will try to steal all the cookies.
