I want to thank everyone there for taking such very great care of our “puppy” Duchess for her almost 16 1/2 years. I couldn’t have managed the end for her to be any place else then with the caring staff there, for her and my sake. God bless you all. I want to thank Dr. Kathleen, Jim, Jackie and the rest of the staff at the Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital for their caring support for my baby girl Myla, who hasn't been feeling good or being herself lately, after a few test we learned she had kidney disease, bad enough she was starting to shut down. The staff took the time with my daughter and I, explaining all the options available and answering any questions and concerns we had in making a very tough decision. I could never let my baby girl suffer in anyway, we had to say goodbye to Myla who was 8.5 yrs old chocolate lab. My last dog Dariann, miniature american eskimo lived 17 yrs and was also under the care of Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital where I am very happy with the awesome staff and the care they both have received. Thank you all !!!

Called this past Monday at 9:02 AM and scheduled an appointment for my husky mix. Informed them I was a new patient and I could come either in the evenings or anytime on Wednesday. She was able to schedule me for this Wednesday (today) at 1:15 pm. I showed up and receptionist said there was no appointment for me and it'd be at least an hour and a half til I could be seen. I've heard good things, but after this very disappointed and will not be rescheduling.

Within 35 min they said to come in. Dr Sue and her assistant (didnt catch her name) were very compassionate towards me and my son. this is the place to go if it comes time for your fur baby to cross over the rainbow bridge. thank you for making my Sneakers transition easy for him and for me. he went peacefully,

Dr. Donovan provided excellent care for my 12-year old dog, whom we had to euthanize. She provided support, told us she thought we were making the right decision, and validated our concerns and decision. I can't (unfortunately) say the same for the vet tech, who did her job well caring for my dog but just didn't provide the same level of person-to-person care. I would absolutely go here again.

Was so glad she let me come in because he did have fluid in his lungs so she gave him a shot of lasix and gave us a prescription. Love them there!

Clinic: I just became a pet parent in March 2016 and I was referred to CVH and Dr. Sue by my friend who has been going there for years. I love how great, gentle and caring Dr. Sue and their staff are with my dog Rusty. They didn't try to sell me anything unnecessarily, and were very good about answering all my questions about his carsickness, his vaccines, and all other aspects of his health.
Boarding: I have used their boarding facility twice now as well. Both times I was satisfied with their facility---it was affordable, and most importantly, they board over the weekend! That was very convenient for me---including their location so close to the airport. The first time my SPCA-adopted dog was a little nervous about going there for boarding, but the second time he was excited to go, and a big plus is that he gets a complimentary bath every time before I pick him up from boarding.
Grooming: I havent used their grooming facility yet.

Have been going to Cheektowaga Veterinary for almost 18 yrs . I have never once been treated poorly or have my dogs ! They are best group of vets , vet techs and staff I have ever encountered . You don't realize how good they are till you move and have to get another vet ! We moved , thank goodness only an hour away and still maintain our appointments with Dr. Sue and everyone there . Once you have the very best, it's hard to find it again . Love them all , they are all special , loving and caring to all who go there ! Keep up the great work you all do for us and everyone ! We love you all to pieces and so do our dogs !

Dr. Sue and her staff have been absolutely wonderful to my 2 dogs. They always go that extra mile to make sure that they are happy and healthy. When I take them there for boarding it's like a dream vacation for them because everyone is so loving and gives them tons of attention. The entire staff takes pride in their jobs and it shows. My guys are now 15 yrs old and I believe the incredible care that they have received over the years from Dr. Sue and staff play an important part to their long lives. I am very thankful that I have taken my dogs to Cheektowaga Vet and recommend that you do the same.

I've been taking my pets to the Cheektowaga vet for 10+ years (Dogs & Cats). Overall, I've always felt the staff have a passion for what they do and for the well being of the animals. The environment is always clean and they get you through to your appointment quickly and out the door on your way.
The vets make recommendations for your pets and tend to re-recommend during each visit which can come across as 'pushy' but it is no different that going to your personal physician. At the end of the day they respect your decision to follow their advice or not. We had a senior Cat that got very ill and they took her in over the weekend to nurse her back to health and were very good in providing us updates on her progress and what they felt would be our options on next steps. They always provide a few recommendations providing us the choice in which way to go (including cost).
I would recommend the Cheektowaga Vet to others.

Some of the staff did seem friendly enough, although one of the main receptionists comes across very ignorant and lowers the general mood on a consistent basis. I brought an animal in (8 lb cat) who needed to be held down by the tech working with the doctor for part of the checkup (it may have been a shot). The tech was very rough and grabbed the cat by the back of the head and used unnecessary force to drive her head into the table. This is a pretty mellow 8 lb cat. When I later complained about this to a company spokesperson they flat out lied and said that doctor never has vet techs in the room- that doctor is always alone. Really.

CVH considers reasonable options that meet my budgetary needs along with the health needs of my pets. I appreciate when a service provider listens to my needs and works with me on the big picture. Some veterinary clinics seem to have financial goals above the needs of their clients - not so here. I highly recommend CVH!

I absolutely love this hospital. As nice as it looks on the outside, it's even better once inside. The upkeep of the hospital is best described as immaculate. The staff is professional and polite, a really comfortable atmosphere for both moi and pet. I didn't find the prices exorbitant. Once out of her carrier my cat, Becky, was at ease under the knowingly wise hands of the Doctor. She received her booster shots and was microchipped as well. I am very satisfied with our treatment and will recommend this fine facility to others.

Once my friend from Canada was traveling to New York City. Along on the trip were her family, and their pet dog Whitney. At a rest stop they took Whitney for a walk. Sometime later Whitney became extremely agitated, and began scratching at her side. Becoming alarmed, my friend started to search the area, and found a small reddish swelling. Fearful that it might be a tick bite, at the I-90 tollbooth her husband asked if there was an animal hospital nearby. The toll collector immediately recommended Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital!
After receiving directions, my friend rushed over there. Whitney was immediately rushed into an examination room, and diagnosed with an allergic reaction to an insect bite. Whitney was treated with injections to alleviate her symptoms, and given medications to take on the trip. All in about an hour! My friend was amazed at the caring, expertise, and speed at which their emergency was handled. She called me immediately thereafter to recount her adventure. Do to her experience, and that of Whitney's, I chose Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital for my family's pets. In that time I have never regretted my decision, and I am sure neither have many others. I applaud Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital's professionalism, fairness, and commitment to the health of our pets.

I want to thank Dr. Kathleen, Jim, Jackie and the rest of the staff at the Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital for their caring support for my baby girl Myla, who hasn't been feeling good or being herself lately, after a few test we learned she had kidney disease, bad enough she was starting to shut down. The staff took the time with my daughter and I, explaining all the options available and answering any questions and concerns we had in making a very tough decision. I could never let my baby girl suffer in anyway, we had to say goodbye to Myla who was 8.5 yrs old chocolate lab. My last dog Dariann, miniature american eskimo lived 17 yrs and was also under the care of Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital where I am very happy with the awesome staff and the care they both have received. Called this past Monday at 9:02 AM and scheduled an appointment for my husky mix. Informed them I was a new patient and I could come either in the evenings or anytime on Wednesday. She was able to schedule me for this Wednesday (today) at 1:15 pm. I showed up and receptionist said there was no appointment for me and it'd be at least an hour and a half til I could be seen. I've heard good things, but after this very disappointed and will not be rescheduling.

Within 35 min they said to come in. I can't (unfortunately) say the same for the vet tech, who did her job well caring for my dog but just didn't provide the same level of person-to-person care. I would absolutely go here again.

Was so glad she let me come in because he did have fluid in his lungs so she gave him a shot of lasix and gave us a prescription. Love them there!

Clinic: I just became a pet parent in March 2016 and I was referred to CVH and Dr. Sue by my friend who has been going there for years. I love how great, gentle and caring Dr. Sue and their staff are with my dog Rusty. They didn't try to sell me anything unnecessarily, and were very good about answering all my questions about his carsickness, his vaccines, and all other aspects of his health.
Boarding: I have used their boarding facility twice now as well. Both times I was satisfied with their facility---it was affordable, and most importantly, they board over the weekend! That was very convenient for me---including their location so close to the airport. The first time my SPCA-adopted dog was a little nervous about going there for boarding, but the second time he was excited to go, and a big plus is that he gets a complimentary bath every time before I pick him up from boarding.
Grooming: I havent used their grooming facility yet.

You don't realize how good they are till you move and have to get another vet ! We moved , thank goodness only an hour away and still maintain our appointments with Dr. Sue and everyone there . Dr. Sue and her staff have been absolutely wonderful to my 2 dogs. They always go that extra mile to make sure that they are happy and healthy. When I take them there for boarding it's like a dream vacation for them because everyone is so loving and gives them tons of attention. The entire staff takes pride in their jobs and it shows. My guys are now 15 yrs old and I believe the incredible care that they have received over the years from Dr. Sue and staff play an important part to their long lives. I am very thankful that I have taken my dogs to Cheektowaga Vet and recommend that you do the same.

I've been taking my pets to the Cheektowaga vet for 10+ years (Dogs & Cats). Overall, I've always felt the staff have a passion for what they do and for the well being of the animals. The environment is always clean and they get you through to your appointment quickly and out the door on your way.
The vets make recommendations for your pets and tend to re-recommend during each visit which can come across as 'pushy' but it is no different that going to your personal physician. At the end of the day they respect your decision to follow their advice or not. We had a senior Cat that got very ill and they took her in over the weekend to nurse her back to health and were very good in providing us updates on her progress and what they felt would be our options on next steps. They always provide a few recommendations providing us the choice in which way to go (including cost).
I would recommend the Cheektowaga Vet to others.

Some of the staff did seem friendly enough, although one of the main receptionists comes across very ignorant and lowers the general mood on a consistent basis. I brought an animal in (8 lb cat) who needed to be held down by the tech working with the doctor for part of the checkup (it may have been a shot). The tech was very rough and grabbed the cat by the back of the head and used unnecessary force to drive her head into the table. This is a pretty mellow 8 lb cat. When I later complained about this to a company spokesperson they flat out lied and said that doctor never has vet techs in the room- that doctor is always alone. Really.

CVH considers reasonable options that meet my budgetary needs along with the health needs of my pets. I appreciate when a service provider listens to my needs and works with me on the big picture. Some veterinary clinics seem to have financial goals above the needs of their clients - not so here. I highly recommend CVH!

I absolutely love this hospital. As nice as it looks on the outside, it's even better once inside. The upkeep of the hospital is best described as immaculate. The staff is professional and polite, a really comfortable atmosphere for both moi and pet. I didn't find the prices exorbitant. Once out of her carrier my cat, Becky, was at ease under the knowingly wise hands of the Doctor. She received her booster shots and was microchipped as well. I am very satisfied with our treatment and will recommend this fine facility to others.

Once my friend from Canada was traveling to New York City. Along on the trip were her family, and their pet dog Whitney. At a rest stop they took Whitney for a walk. Sometime later Whitney became extremely agitated, and began scratching at her side. Becoming alarmed, my friend started to search the area, and found a small reddish swelling. Fearful that it might be a tick bite, at the I-90 tollbooth her husband asked if there was an animal hospital nearby. The toll collector immediately recommended Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital!
After receiving directions, my friend rushed over there. Whitney was immediately rushed into an examination room, and diagnosed with an allergic reaction to an insect bite. Whitney was treated with injections to alleviate her symptoms, and given medications to take on the trip. All in about an hour! My friend was amazed at the caring, expertise, and speed at which their emergency was handled. She called me immediately thereafter to recount her adventure. Do to her experience, and that of Whitney's, I chose Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital for my family's pets. In that time I have never regretted my decision, and I am sure neither have many others. I applaud Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital's professionalism, fairness, and commitment to the health of our pets.
