My family just moved away from Cortland but Crossroads was our primary vet for about 4 years. I NEVER had a negative experience here. Some things that they offer are nail clippings, vaccines (shots), exams, X-rays, they can prescribe all sorts of medicines if needed, emergency visits, over night kenneling, dental exams, surgeries, neuter/spay, and humane euthanasia. If they don't offer something they can connect you to someone who does. They are very flexible and I have had to bring in several dogs and one cat in for an emergency before (on different occasions) and they were very timely and professional about each interaction. If it was an emergency, they would insist on bringing them in immediately. The majority of the staff is women which was very helpful because my rescue dog (pit bull) was working through a fear of men at the time. All of the vets here are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Dr. Clifford especially stood out to me in a positive way because of how she interacted with my pit bull. My pit bull was anxious and did not want to get up on the table, Dr. Clifford got down on the floor with him for the rest of the exam and this instantly put him at ease. I know that sometimes the front desk people can come off as rude and everyone has bad moments but it's a stressful job!! Bottom line, the veterinarians here are superb and I recommend everyone to go here. (They even have an exotic vet now)

I brought my newly adopted dog here for his first exam since they offer a free exam in partnership with the shelter he came from. Both the veterinary assistant and Dr. Clifford were so great with him....
I brought my newly adopted dog here for his first exam since they offer a free exam in partnership with the shelter he came from. Both the veterinary assistant and Dr. Clifford were so great with him. They were very patient and answered all my questions and were very kind to my dog who is a little bit of a handful. They also let me know of all the different options for testing and vaccinations, but didn't try to sell me anything that wasn't completely necessary. I only wish I lived a lot closer to this clinic! I would recommend them to anyone in the Cortland area.

I had to take my cat back to Dr Wood. This time I believe that she really did save my kitty. We learned that she is allergic to fleas and it was shutting down her soft organs; her medications were changed and 2 were added. If it was not for Dr Wood I wouldn't have my fur baby. Do not trust anything on the store shelves to give to your animals. Only trust your vet. And you can trust Dr Wood.

* I have been taking my animals to this clinic for about 7 years, however staff don't know allergies of my pets and suggest using medications that they have had reactions to* no longer provide services such as clipping nails, however will try to sell you expensive procedures, vaccines and other things* 2 years ago, I got a puppy and also took her there. During the visit, she was not handled well (vet was overtly disgusted with her, making faces , accused me of getting her from a puppy mill, which I did not).The puppy was so scared that she soiled herself which I would think is common for vets to deal with, but the vet was angry about this and the smell. Very cold towards her. * When calling to let them know the flea meds did not work, and she may be having a bad reaction, all they did was accuse me of not giving them properly or telling me my house may have fleas. Did not take the time to look at her records before giving suggestions. *flea medicine that has been successful for her not in stock. I was told to order myself.*front desk staff are not friendlyHope this is helpful for anyone looking for specific attributes in their clinic of choice. I will be transferring ASAP.

Thank you for taking such great care of Blizzard. We started with Dr. Miller and 15 years later ended with Dr. Bacque. Blizzard was diagnosed with IBD and Dr. Bacque found medication and a diet that helped him live with the disease for 2 additional years. During the past 2 years I made many calls and visits to the office. Every staff member treated myself and Blizzard as part of their family. On Friday Blizzard passed away at home. He will truly be missed but we know he was well loved and cared for. Thanks again for all your love and support.

All of the vets here are so kind and caring. Dr. Bacque is so wonderful my neurotic (now Prozac prescribed in her elder years) dog Zoey greets her with a wagging tail and goes to her. We have always taken our pets to Crossroads Veterinary Clinic. The care is outstanding and there is a real dedication to not only the pets but to the family too! Hello to anyone who enters reviews! This veterinary clinic gained alot of respect from my husband and I. We recently were involved with another clinic which to our dismay forced our hand of change for our animals sake! Our beautiful purebreed husky Jade, kind of got her self in a sharp and pointy situation. She got caught up in the mix with a porkey-pine ""ouch right""? Well we called our use to be vet and told them the situation that they were pretty extensive in her mouth and throt couldn't shut her mout what so ever. Well they told us that they had no room or time for her to wait until the next day to get them out and to just leave her alone and she'll be fine! I was like she will be fine, what? All I could think of was how would they have liked it if they had a few hundred quills in there throt and mouth and couldn't shut there mouth, not only that but the pain I am sure she was in from the quills!! So we figured we would call around and to our shock some vets said take them out ourselves ""ya right"" I am not sticking my hand in a hurt dogs mouth right were the pain is! So anyways we came across this wonderful vet and they said bring her right in and we will take care of her!! We were so thankful to find a vet that cared for our dog like we do, she is our family, so thank you

My family just moved away from Cortland but Crossroads was our primary vet for about 4 years. I NEVER had a negative experience here. Some things that they offer are nail clippings, vaccines (shots), exams, X-rays, they can prescribe all sorts of medicines if needed, emergency visits, over night kenneling, dental exams, surgeries, neuter/spay, and humane euthanasia. If they don't offer something they can connect you to someone who does. They are very flexible and I have had to bring in several dogs and one cat in for an emergency before (on different occasions) and they were very timely and professional about each interaction. If it was an emergency, they would insist on bringing them in immediately. The majority of the staff is women which was very helpful because my rescue dog (pit bull) was working through a fear of men at the time. All of the vets here are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Dr. Clifford especially stood out to me in a positive way because of how she interacted with my pit bull. My pit bull was anxious and did not want to get up on the table, Dr. Clifford got down on the floor with him for the rest of the exam and this instantly put him at ease. Both the veterinary assistant and Dr. Clifford were so great with him. They were very patient and answered all my questions and were very kind to my dog who is a little bit of a handful. They also let me know of all the different options for testing and vaccinations, but didn't try to sell me anything that wasn't completely necessary. I only wish I lived a lot closer to this clinic! I would recommend them to anyone in the Cortland area.

I had to take my cat back to Dr Wood. This time I believe that she really did save my kitty. We learned that she is allergic to fleas and it was shutting down her soft organs; her medications were changed and 2 were added. If it was not for Dr Wood I wouldn't have my fur baby. Do not trust anything on the store shelves to give to your animals. Only trust your vet. And you can trust Dr Wood.

Thank you for taking such great care of Blizzard. We started with Dr. Miller and 15 years later ended with Dr. Bacque. Blizzard was diagnosed with IBD and Dr. Bacque found medication and a diet that helped him live with the disease for 2 additional years. During the past 2 years I made many calls and visits to the office. Every staff member treated myself and Blizzard as part of their family. On Friday Blizzard passed away at home. We have always taken our pets to Crossroads Veterinary Clinic. The care is outstanding and there is a real dedication to not only the pets but to the family too! I have appreciated all Dr. Miller's dedication over the years and wouldn't know what to do if he weren't there. I also appreciate his associate Dr. Woods too, she is excellent! I am so grateful we have access to such a wonderful clinic!!

Hello to anyone who enters reviews! This veterinary clinic gained alot of respect from my husband and I. We recently were involved with another clinic which to our dismay forced our hand of change for our animals sake! Our beautiful purebreed husky Jade, kind of got her self in a sharp and pointy situation. She got caught up in the mix with a porkey-pine ""ouch right""? Well we called our use to be vet and told them the situation that they were pretty extensive in her mouth and throt couldn't shut her mout what so ever. Well they told us that they had no room or time for her to wait until the next day to get them out and to just leave her alone and she'll be fine! I was like she will be fine, what? All I could think of was how would they have liked it if they had a few hundred quills in there throt and mouth and couldn't shut there mouth, not only that but the pain I am sure she was in from the quills!! So we figured we would call around and to our shock some vets said take them out ourselves ""ya right"" I am not sticking my hand in a hurt dogs mouth right were the pain is! So anyways we came across this wonderful vet and they said bring her right in and we will take care of her!! We were so thankful to find a vet that cared for our dog like we do, she is our family, so thank you
