Fairport Animal Hospital

Fairport, New York
General Info
Fairport Animal Hospital, located in Fairport, NY, provides compassionate and knowledgeable care for pets in the area. Their services include: Laboratory, and Ultrasound. The practice’s compassionate team understands how much pets mean to their families and strives to keep them healthy, happy, and active. Fairport Animal Hospital (Fairport) makes every appointment a subtle sensory check-in by how staff interacts with the pets in ways they would at home, in common New York settings. The initial periods are utilized for simple observation without any physical interaction. Staff watches the pets when they walk around the corner and listens to gentle sound while sitting in response to movement. The diagnostic flow is customized in real time during operation. Actions like breath-holding or neck sensitivity during eye checks necessitate staff guidance about the sequence of the visit. Veterinarian decisions are based on the owner’s reports regarding the dog’s behavior in windy conditions, changes to its sleeping positions, and how often it seeks contact at home. Fairport Animal Hospital provides diagnostic support and pain modeling on top of mobility, environmental allergies, and chronic condition monitoring and planning for long-term stabilization. Services for animals recovering from trauma or overstimulation can be divided into slots and/or combined with decompression time. Time-of-day patterns and domestic social settings also interact in ways that affect the speed of receiving or sharing results. Veterinary follow-up checkups are based on the pet’s recovery path rather than a specific timeline. Owners are instructed on how to watch for any changes at home such as not going in certain rooms, still not wanting to vocalize etc., and learning some new behaviors like stretching. The option to communicate remains open and adjust accordingly as the routines slowly change or symptoms emerge. Fairport Animal Hospital offers veterinary services to Fairport and the surrounding New York areas by interpreting what pets and their owners say in those quiet spaces between heartbeats and gestures.

Worst animal hospital in Rochester.. Today I brought in my 40 pound Border Collie. As soon as I got in my room the nurse was nice but wasn't much help. She asked a few questions and tried to get my dog ( 40 pounds mind you) on their tiny exam table. Border collies are a protective breed and my dog specifically takes a while to warm up to strangers. I tried explaining she always gets shots while shes on the ground at all the previous locations i've been to but, she told me i had to force her on the table and when i set her down on it she jumped off and almost hit her head on a vent in this tiny room. After, the doctor came in and tried to touch her only a total of three times and then gave up and said she cant do anything unless my father is present? I explained this is MY dog and I work with her the most. Plus I never brought up my father in any conversations she just assumed she would listen to him more than me After that she tried to take her to the back room and dragged her in and then brought her out 15 minutes later up front saying she still could not exam her because she was so stressed out and would not sit still. I took my dog there for an initial visit and to also have a lump in her mouth looked at. The front desk and vet techs were wonderful and very kind to my girl. Once we got back to the room to see the vet I was VERY disappointed. The vet seemed afraid of my dog and unsure of what the visit was about. When I asked her about the lump in her mouth she did not even shine a light on it or touch it! She told me she didn't know what it was and prescribed a general antibiotic. I was at he vet for over two hours with a lot of waiting time in the room. She never called to follow up or see if it worked. Read Less

Do not bring your exotic reptile to this vet. We were having a small issue with our Veiled Chameleons tongue and sought some advice from them. He was fine besides having a calcium deficiency, which would have been fixed easily. He was having some trouble swallowing a cricket at the vet and they brought him to the back to check a few things. When they brought him back out to us they said they had removed the cricket because he was having trouble swallowing. Even though they were told this was becoming the usual and he just needed time, when we looked him over his veil was broken. Who ever handled him during that time was not gentle enough and it ultimately killed our chameleon after 3 weeks of suffering, swallowing his tongue, having to be fed through a syringe, and given water the same way. Their advice was to splint his veil and give him pain medication. No one was willing to admit what happened, or take the blame. Read Less
