We have been taking our 2 dogs to Nassau Suffolk hospital for several years spending a lot of money on their care. Recently my older dog was nipped by my younger dog and received a 1/4 inch slice to his ear. We called the office to let them know we would like to bring him in and was told that we should take him to the emergency room so they can put him under and treat his wound. We asked them if they could look at it to see if they could treat it before spending money on a emergency room visit and they refused . We ended up repairing with glue and liquid bandage. Can't express enough how wonderful this place is. We recently had to put my cat CJ down and they were so kind, caring and really knew how to make the process as easy as possible. During our very difficult time it really meant so much to us and we appreciate it more than we can put into words. At first i want to say that from the rewies i read online I wasn't sure if I wanted to go there... but i met someone that recommended dr Haagensen and he spoke About the place and the dr so well that even though those rewies where no so good i took that chance ... And ....IAM SO GLAD!! they care about the animals !!! And thats whats imported....THE MOST ! Dr Haagensen took time to talk to me.. to see my dog explained everything so well answered my questions my my concerns.I dont usually write rewies but this time i had to because its important that people know about vet like him because he is very valuable ... especially if u have a bulldog..he knows so Much about them!! Excellent care for both of my dogs here. Our visits never seem rushed. The veterinarians take time to explain all of the health issues and proposed treatments. The staff is consistently friendly, professional and caring. Also, the waiting room environment is clean and pleasant (although we are rarely kept waiting there for very long). Read Less

Not even worth one star. Always an issue when going there or calling there. They're WAY overpriced, they do more services than I want or need them to when I bring my dog and then they have the nerve to charge me for it. They won't even set up payment plans considering I went there for 5 years. I moved out of state and called them today to get my dogs records. Easy breezy right? NO. I was placed on hold 5 times. I was then told I would have to jump thru hoops in order to get MY dogs records. I explained 6 times that I do not have a fax machine so we need to come up with another option. She kept repeating herself and telling me that I need a fax machine in order to get my dogs records as if a fax machine would magically appear in my lap. She then HUNG up on me. What place of business hangs up on their customer? Poor customer service, prices too high and not willing to work with you at all. All they want is your money money money. Would NEVER recommend and I will also be telling my friends that still go there about this experience. Yous should be ashamed. Read Less

Well I heard of a sad terrible story today. A friend posted on facebook her horrific interaction with you today when she brought in a dog she found, to have her checked for a chip and you decided to keep the dog and not give her back to her. You would rather have the poor dog sleep in a cage and go to a shelter tomorrow than have her spend the night in a nice warm bed in a good person's home until her owners are found. Shame on you! absolutely the best most talented vets on LI. We've brought our English bulldog to Dr. Haggensen as he specializes in the breed. They're also very caring and Dr. Baffa is extremely talented and a sweetheart as well. They also offer shots at half price 2 times a week.
