The cruelest, roughest Vet I've ever encountered-very abrupt and rough with my 18 yr old senior fur boy. Certainly his recommendations would bring my boy to a quick grave. I visited the Cats Only Vet for the first time today and was very impressed. The Dr. and staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They treated my cat very well and went above and beyond what was necessary to make sure she got what she needed. I fully intend to make them my regular cat vet whenever my cats are in need! My elderly cat Mickey was seen here for  the last few years of his life. Dr Upholt and staff were wonderful and caring. I sent my nephew to him when his kitten became sick, unfortunately it was feline leukemia and the kitten could not be saved. My Odie had a serious episode that left him unable to control his bowels and partially paralyzed his back legs and tail. Because Doctor's office was closed when it happened, I took Odie to another place. They concluded that Odie should be put down. After a few agonizing days taking care of him at home...anguishing over having to put down my best buddy, I called Doc's office when they opened again. Doctor examined Odie and although it wasn't clear what happened he told me that cats can make a comeback from 'episodes' like this and not to give up on him. That bit of information was priceless to me. The previous place had not said anything like that. They kept Odie for several days and Doc checked him every day. I would call or visit and every time Christine and Colleen were extremely supportive. I was given hope as there were signs each day Odie was making progress. To make a long story short it's been a slow progression over weeks but Odie pulled through. It's been months now and you wouldn't know anything had ever happened. I am deeply appreciative that there is a Doctor and staff who are as great as Doctor Upholdt, Christine and Colleen. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who needs care for their cat (s). Just found Syracuse' best kept secret for cat care. Absolutely love how I was treated, Dr Upholt is a 5 star animal veterinarian, with alot of wisdom, could tell that right when he spoke. And didnt kill me with bill either. Vaccines, rabies,medicine for problem I went there for, and while talking he cleaned her teeth, all for $125. Easily would have paid 300+ elsewhere and no way close to professionalism, you would get here. All were so nice!!! Thanks Cat only vet care!! Read Less
