Dr. Davis overcharges, is extremely condescending to women, isn't very knowledgeable, but pretends to be, and potentially endangers your pet. I had brought my cat to him for dentistry and ended up paying way too much $1700 -- which I realized later after going to another vet. He charged me for ~$10 per digital image of my cat's teeth and gums during the surgery, which we all know is "free" using a digital camera -- besides for the fact that many of these pics were unnecesssary. WORSE: my cat suddenly developed seizures the night after the dentistry. My cat had been healthy and normal for his entire long life of 15 years until now, but now he has occasional seizures which are pretty frightening to watch. He flips up into the air and loses his balance and falls over. My cat had always been really good be handled, but when he went to Lyndon vet., I heard my cat screaming like he was being tortured and man-handled. They are not trained well there and do not know how to work with an animal's personality.Dr. Davis kept telling me what cats do, and what cats like, and how my cat doesn't chew his food anyway. How would he know something like this better than me?? I know my cat extremely well, and it's always frustrating when the vet doesn't want to know about your cat. As we all know, every pet has his/her own personality and preferences and habits - but Davis didn't ask me any questions; he just kept asserting his authority. When I had my friend (male) take my cat in for me, the tone was much different. I also had to do my own research into the scientific literature to discover some of the issues related to my cat's response to the thyroid medication. My cat was having diarrhea and Dr. Davis had to look up the potential side effects of the meds from a ref book, and his conclusion? ...the book said "digestive problems" but not diarrhea so he didn't think it could be from the meds! He thought that it was the food my cat had been eating (the same one that he had always been eating - yeah, that makes sense!) Well, we altered the dosage of the med (methimazole) on our own and got rid of the diarrhea. I just adopted a puppy from a local shelter and the adoption agent made sure that I signed an agreement that I would not go particular vets; and although Lyndon wasn't on this list, when I told her that I had gone there, she was highly discouraging. This agent had heard of other bad experiences at Lyndon and that Dr. Davis overcharges and is "condescending to women"! I'm glad that I wasn't imagining it.Lastly, I just found out from my new vet that I can order the thyroid med directly from the pharmacy...and lo and behold, Dr. Davis has been marking up the price over 100% from $11 to $30. He never told me that I could buy this med direct. I placed an order 2 days ago, received it today, and got 2 refills with shipping for $27! Even if you don't quite believe me, if you love your pet and your wallet, there are many other more honest and trustworthy vets out there. Don't take a chance with Dr. Davis! Read Less
