Forestville Animal Hospital may be a good Vet if there is no emergency with your dog but when there’s a emergency they lack urgency and medical advice. My dog had an incident while playing and hit his eye. I called their emergency line where you talk directly to the Vet, he told me to give my dog aspirin and human eye drops & since the eye is still intact he should be fine. I still was uneasy & noticed changes in his eye. Two days later I called them again but they were to busy to fit me in nor would they accept a picture of my dogs eye. I was told if I ‘wanted’ to, I could go to the emergency pet hospital in orchard park. This is during COVID 19 which all other vets were open to work with you. Calling the emergency pet hospital in orchard park they referred me to the animal optometrist directly since it’s a eye injury. Talking to the emergency pet hospital, the optometrist and the new vet I go to now, I learned that aspirin is harmful to animals. It can cause internal bleeding and human eye drops shouldn’t be applied to dogs. My dog should have been seen right away. If the vet at Forestville animal hospital would have just accepted a picture of my dogs eye the 2nd time I called when I noticed changes or had the knowledge to understand the urgency of any eye injury then I could have saved my dogs eye. I’m now told and dealing with having my dogs’ eye removed due to lack of immediate attention. Even after calling Forestville Animal Hospital (they received all information from optometrist) the receptionist didn’t care, gave an insincere apology and the initial vet I talked to never called me to apologize or recognize his error or even follow up on the incorrect advice he gave. It hurts to write this review because knowing that just by having the right vet my dogs eye could have been saved. I don’t want anyone else to experience what I went through! If you care at all about your pet during a emergency don’t go to this vet! It could mean their life. Not only is this a emotional hardship, but is now a finacial hardship...

The older lady at the front desk is Rude like usual. They did not update the paperwork on our doggo's or the billing address. It's not a huge deal but the lady said she would update it. The prescription still had the old address, same with all of the other paperwork. The printer has not been working for the last 4 years for some reason.
Dr. Bache is great so that us the only reason we come back.

Forestville Animal Hospital. Is one of the most compassionate vet Hospital's I've ever been to they took care of my animal my pet as I was in the hospital having back surgery. The staff compassionate loving they care for the animals they respected . They took care of my pet until it took its last breath and after that they were compassionate and they still took care of my Pat until I was able to get out of the hospital to come pick him up and for that I am grateful from the bottom of my heart to the staff the doc and everybody that works there thank you very very much

Just concluded or 3rd visit, Buddy, with the last of our 3 dogs. Dr. Bache is terrific as are the girls there. Compassionate, caring, knowledgeable and just great with the dogs. Saturday hours are very helpful because like most people I work during the week. We can't thank them enough for the terrific service that they provide!

I have a Newfoundland who is 210 Lbs with bad hips . I looked for a long time for a vet who will come to my home because after a car ride he will become lame for a few days after. The vet has gone over and beyond , coming here in a very short amount of time after I call . The care he has provided for my dog has always been excellent !!! I can not express enough how very grateful I am !!

Regarding a recent visit, my roommate's rabbit grew ill. The vet did a full check-up, even an ultrasound, and found nothing. He said they would call us to see how the rabbit was doing a few days later. They called, he was fine. A couple days after the call the rabbit shown the same signs of illness again and died the next morning. Doctor refused to refund our $90 vet emergency visit bill and also claimed he told us that we were supposed to bring him in again, which he did not.
In the past I had an emergency visit for my own rabbit and it went well.
Sometimes I think vets care more about cats and dogs than small animals...

I have always found the staff/ Dr. to be professional . I read an earlier post from "Vitto" feeling a new blood test was not needed. I had an animal that was on medication for years only to find the original vet misdiagnosed the pet. I say to the Vitto that had to wait. Get over it, what if this new test proved your pet was being over medicated . It's called being thorough. Maybe you need to take your animal back to the "City " . I for one am glad this office is open on a Saturday. Did you ever think maybe the vet had an emergency appointment going on? You should have sat in your car with your pets if they were so stressed . I find your rating unfair . This office / staff and Vet all get " 5's" all across the board from me .

My bunny died the day after taking him here due to misdiagnosis. My bunny was suffering from GI stasis with all of the tell tale signs, but the doctor failed to recognize that, having me force feed him while he was not producing any feces. He died the next morning, in a lot of pain, because his intestines were blocked and he likely had an overgrowth of harmful toxic bacteria in his gut. Unfortunately I learned this too late. There are multiple steps I could have taken to stimulate my bunny to produce a bowel movement but the doctor didn't talk about any of them. He rushed through the appointment and didn't even take my bunny's temperature, when maintaining an adequate body temperature is the first and most important line of defense in treating GI stasis. I am heartbroken, especially in knowing that I could have done more to save my baby.

Just concluded or 3rd visit, Buddy, with the last of our 3 dogs. Dr. Bache is terrific as are the girls there. Compassionate, caring, knowledgeable and just great with the dogs. Saturday hours are very helpful because like most people I work during the week. We can't thank them enough for the terrific service that they provide!

The vet has gone over and beyond , coming here in a very short amount of time after I call . The care he has provided for my dog has always been excellent !!! I can not express enough how very grateful I am !!

He said they would call us to see how the rabbit was doing a few days later. They called, he was fine. A couple days after the call the rabbit shown the same signs of illness again and died the next morning.
