The staff here, from reception to the doctor were all amazing, friendly, and professional. They handled my dog gizmo with no problem and provided service with a smile and compassion. Marylee's love for animals is apparent. She and her staff have always gone above and beyond . Last summer I had to put my large dog down who was suffering from lymphoma. He quickly took a turn for the worst and she came to my house to euthanize him peacefully. She's the best! Read Less

Stellar service, kind staff and above all... A deep love of animals. Dr. Fornes went above and beyond last year with my cat. My kitty was in bad shape and was quite "iffy" to survive after surgery so doc took her home overnight to make sure she was watched and taken care of. Dr Fornes and her staff are the best. Been taking my 2 cats to Boston Valley Animal Hospital for almost 7 years and although it's a long car ride (which both cats hate) we wouldn't go anywhere else. I think Boston Valley is an awesome place to take your animals. Every time I go there I am greeted very nicely by the staff. I board my dog and cats there and I have no complaints. I have a very small dog and 2 medium size cats and they love the staff and love being boarded there. All and all I love this place. The staff is very good to my pets and the prices are great compared to other vets I have been to in the area. Read Less

My sister brought two dogs there for boarding for 72 hours and when she came back in town to pick them up ,boston valley animal lost one of her dogs when they were responsible to house them and they are not doing anything to recover the dog ,this is the worst place to leave your loved ones ,I hope she sues but according to the law they are only responsible for value of dog because a dog is considered property and not family , she does not want money but only her dog back. I hope they go out of buisiness so this never happens to anyone again Read Less

Took my kitty Nelly here back in October, as she was lethargic. Discovered she was dehydrated, and greatly constipated! Required a few days stay; more than few tests and now she is good as new. She poops like a champ LOL and I thank Dr. Fornes and the kind wonderful staff for their great care and attention to Nelly, and our family. Before I went to Boston Valley Animal Hospital (BVAH), my cat, Sheba, had been treated by three different vets for an inflamed mouth. After a superficial exam, they each had a different diagnosis. They gave her steroid shots and recommended treatment that made no sense. On my first visit to BVAH, first Keri, the technician, then Dr. Mary Lee Fornes took a profound interest in Sheba. From her detailed history to her in-depth exam, Sheba was treated with respect and gentleness. Dr. Fornes showed me that Sheba's teeth were loose and abscessed and said she needed a full mouth extraction because of a viral infection. (One of the other vets wanted to do a cleaning on her loose and abscessed teeth.) She couldn't guarantee that the virus would completely go away, but said other patients had been virus free after one year. Under Dr. Fornes' care, Sheba healed completely within the year. I am fortunate to have found BVAH. I've never been to a hospital where the entire staff is so professional, knowledgeable, and caring -- Karen provides expert advice; Eileen and Jessica are wonderful with Sheba; Jimmy and Wendy are always helpful, friendly and concerned. Went there for grooming instead of our usual groomer. Was quoted a price of around $60. When we picked our dog up they charged $100. Gave 1 star because won't let you proceed without rating. Never going back there again. Read Less

They are an amazing staff of loving caring people.. took my aninmals there for a while, the ONLY reason i had to change Vets was due to pricing as i bring in Rescues and pay out of pocket.. I recently had to call them on one of my dogs with an emergency as my vet was closed.. they walked me thro step by step with the care needed...
