They are not personable at all. They are also never open. Numerous times we would order medication for our dog and they would either give it to another customer or never place the order. Our dog had to suffer without his medication numerous times because of their mess ups. So we ended up switching vets because this animal clinic is not reliable. You would think because of how small their office is that they would have more focus on their patients but you are just $$$ to them. They would also blame us as the patient for why they didn't order the meds. We are never going here again. Read Less

I just want to thank Dr. Tonia Hite for all her compassion and knowledge. I have 6 cats that I have rescued through the years. Each has had different health issues and I have been supported and given excellent advice in each situation. Together we have made it through seizures, teeth extraction, helping my blind cat adjust to surroundings and even when to let go. Sadly I have had to say good byes to a few of my beloved family members. Not only did Dr. Hite explain and guide me in these difficult times, but she and her staff provided so much comfort. I feel confident and secure knowing my questions will be heard and answered with so much concern and care for the best outcome. I highly recommend Camp Rd Animal Clinic and Dr. Hite to all my friends and family. Thank you for all that you do! Read Less

I am very disappointed. I have been to Camp road animal clinic 3 or 4 times. I have always felt them to be a nice place and skilled with our animals. The last time we took our dog there he was having an allergy problem. Dr. Tonya gave him a shot and said if after 3 or 4 weeks he started itching again that , that meant he had allergies and that she would just prescribe him an allergy med at that point. I called after a few months to get the medication and was told i'd have to bring him back in. I explained he has been seen for this already and that Dr.Tonya said she would prescribe him something, I was told by the staff again that she wanted to see him. I am a fulltime student and mom of 2 whos is currently unemployed. I can't afford to bring him in two times for the same thing. I am sorry to say that our pets will not be going to this office anymore. I am SO DISAPPOINED that Dr.Tonya DID'NT HONOR her word, and sad to have to move on. I also think it's horrible to leave my poor dog scratching himself to death and creating sores all over his little body. Read Less

I have to say that when my girlfriend gave me a few names of veterinarians to try in Hamburg, (My husband and I just relocated from Lockport) my first move was to search the internet for reviews. I had found so many on the two clinics nearest to my house. As consumers we are able to voice our opinions, be it happy or not with a business via the internet. I feel you do have a right to defend your business to a point, but also there is a thin line that can be crossed. I feel that the rebuttal that was posted in response to ""money hungry"" post was harsh and a tad threatening. I am sorry for the loss of life, and sorry that the practice owner felt so threatened that it was necessary to post a response. I used to go to Camp Road Animal Clinic when Dr Brown was there and I enjoyed it, but then Dr. Hite took over. I had switched clinics a year or so ago after the first time The Dr was rude to me but my daughter still took her cat there. The staff repeatedly told her how much of a brat her cat was. Which led to them having to put her under for some sort of a work up because no one could handle this cat who was scared, sick and couldn't understand why she was there. ""Something"" happened and she died while under the anesthetic. This cat was my daughters baby as most of our pets are.The Dr. then felt the need to inform my daughter that she would discount her bill! I am not sure if they teach social skills in vet school but I am quite sure that Dr. Hite missed that class. Camp Road Animal Clinic is rude, and doesn't care about anything but money, take your animals and money else where. Read Less

I have a dog daycare, training and boarding business. I work with several vets in Erie County and in Hamburg, Dr. Hite has always made herself available for any concerns or questions or consulting I need direction or guidance on. The office has always been available to help providing empathy, knowledge and excellent handling skills. Dogs that have been dismissed elsewhere or muzzled as too hard to handle were not a problem for Dr. Hite's office. Dr. Hite is also very generous with her time with rescue and for the last three years, hmmm, maybe four, she has closed one day a year to donate her time to the local village pet event ... providing her services to raise money for the targeted rescue group that given year.
