I would never do business with this place again.  I stay in the Hamptons every winter and used them last year.  This was my first week back and had my dog booked for boarding because i had a flight out of town.  I called and told them that traffic was backed up due to a wreck and asked if they could stay just an extra 10 minutes to wait on me and the receptionist told me no.  I replied and told her that I was a regular customer and that I thought it was crazy that they couldn't wait just 10 minutes and asked her to check with the rest of the staff and she still responded no.  But all is well because I found Westhamton Beach Animal Hospital because of Shinnecocks lack of customer care. We lost our 13 year old Ridgeback mix baby today and I wish we had found Dr. Molnar and Shinnecock Animal Hospital sooner.  His bedside manner and compassion alone are worth the price of admission.  His gentle soul puts you at ease and helped make a terrible decision a little bit easier.  As an added bonus he is sensitive to the cost of treatment and unwilling to recommend superfluous tests or procedures and their prices in general seem quite reasonable.  I would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone and believe that we had come to them sooner they might have been able to provide assistance that our vet in the City never even offered. I had the unfortunate duty of putting my dog down recently and Tiki and I had been out of state for much of the last 10 years and even though we weren't regulars and in fact first time customers they sensed the emotional state I was in and how much Tiki had become uncomfortable . Dr Molnar and his staff were very compassionate and caring to both my and my dog's needs . He talked me through the whole scenario about what to expect and never rushed me . I have used Shinnecock Animal Hospital for over 10 years and am taking the time to post this review because they have absolutely earned and deserve this recognition. They have helped me through everything from basic preventative care to the difficult and painful process of deciding to put an animal down. Always informative and thorough, offer all available options, and thoughtful about my financial constraints. They really go above and beyond for me and my animals. Just recently I had to leave my cat overnight for care post surgery and as hard as that is it was such a comfort to get a call from the doctor on Sunday just to check in and let me know how she was doing. The staff at Shinnecock were very caring and professional. Dr. Molnar was wonderful. My dog had surgery for a torn ACL and everything went well. My dog is healing nicely and has had no complications. I love this practice. They work great with my cats, turtles and rabbits and honestly saved my cat's life. Very compassionate and understanding. However, they are not so good with follow up to phone calls. If you ever have to wait for the doctor to call you back, don't expect a call back. It's better for you to just go down there and wait for a response in person (if you have the time). Read Less

Friendly, loving, professional. They treat every animal as if they are family, always call back promptly and are up front and honest about costs. The doctors and staff remember my pets and greet them by name every time. They never do anything until they have made my pets feel as comfortable as possible. I feel like we are in the best hands with Shinnecock Animal Hospital. There are tons of vets more local to us, but for our fur babies it is worth the 40 minute drive from our home. My dog is not the easiest dog. She can be stressed by situations she can't control ( she is of sheepdog ancestry )and she is very opinionated about people. She loves everyone at Shinnecock and even boards there when I go away, She is less stressed there than she would be at home with me not there. I know most people would judge a vet by their treatment of sick or injured pets, and Dr. Molnar has been wonderful in these situations, including surgery. but I appreciate the wellness care as much. All the staff at Shinnecock Animal hospital are unbelievable. My dog rocky had a bad infection and had to be medically boarded while they got it under control. I should say he is a 250 lb English Mastiff Dr Molnar came in on his day off to check on him even called us from his cell phone on his day off. He treated Rocky like he was his own. Not too please with their services after my cat passed away. I was told to bring her in and everything would be fine, I got her all ready to be taken in so she could be cremated and that morning after my mom already had her in her car they email me saying they can't take her. So my mom would have to miss work and drive up to middle island to Regency Forest and bring my cat herself. She couldn't do that on such short notice so she had to bring her to an emergency animal hospital where we were charged $50 just to hold her there for a few hours until Regency picked her up. This was supposed to only cost about $250 and it's coming to around $310. Read Less
