I am now switching vets after years of being here. I find most of the staff rude and unwelcoming. I have four cats and have brought them here for maintenance and yearly visits. Twice I have had to update my address and they continue to have my old address and I wasn't getting my reminders for the yearlys (I have 4 cats who came into my house at different times, i cannot remember everyones due dates). They do have a phone number which hasnt changed that they don't have the courtesy to call if they're getting returned mail. The middle aged woman that works the desk wont ever look at you when you walk in, looks at the screen the entire time and has an attitude the entire time (this comes across on the phone too). I had fostered two dogs and took them there also and someone else have very poorly behaved dogs so we had to sit in the "cat" room - while this other dog went insane for 15 minutes on the other side. The clinic is small, outdated, and run down. The vets don't listen when you tell them about a problem - my one cat had a urinating problem and they said its just behavioral - went to another vet and now it doesn't exist due to help with medication. The only person I ever encountered I don't know his name, he was extremely tall and muscular and had a lot of tattoos - he was very nice when handling my pets. The last straw was my adoption of my Aussie dog. I called inquiring about testing for the MDR1 testing due to prone difficulties the breed has with medications and reactions to them - they were CLUELESS and said all animals act differently and its trial and error. Excuse me? My dog is not a trial case for you and if there is a test that can detect this to avoid complications - wouldn't you recommend this? It was just the end for me here - there are so many options in WNY - just go elsewhere. Read Less

As always, the doctors and staff at community pet care are amazing. Our little Luna can be a handful to say the least. Had to bring my dog Capone in on an emergency as a new patient.He had cancer and found out the cancer has spread upon the visit and was in pain. We had no choice but to make the hardest decision of our lives. The whole staff was completely caring and answered all of questions and when it was time to say goodbye ...I have no words on how amazing the vet was...they let us wait for other family to arrive and was not rushed at any point in time and that made the process easier for us...I'm so greatful he was there with the staff and all of us and felt loved by everyone around him at the time of his passing. A few days later we received a card and my dogs paw print and they took time to write out a person message We also chose to have a personal cremation done and my dog was back to the day that was promised. If I could give more than 5 stars I would..I am forever greatful for the Care Capone received that day and how caring you were twards all of us....We will be changing vet's in the next few weeks for our other furbabies as I know they will be in great hands :) Read Less

As soon as you & your pet come through the door, the front desk staff is so welcoming & friendly. My little guy has chronic anxiety & this has been taken seriously & he has been put on the correct regiment, to which I am very thankful. Unfortunately, I had to put my black lab down a few years ago, & they allowed me to stay w/him as long as I needed to grieve. To this day, I miss my lab every single moment, but w/their kind support & knowing the pain he was in, I have always been thankful to all the caring employees & Doctors. Read Less

All the staff are wonderful at CPC. I have 4 cats and take all of them there and completely trust the vets with their care. I haven't had anything but good experiences. And when the vet did make a mistake and not get back to me quickly about a blood test, she apologized immediately and took complete responsibility even though she was out of the office when the results came back. They are thorough and recommend the least invasive treatment possible. They also take the time to explain the diagnosis, what to expect, and why they are recommending specific treatments. I have always been treated very well by the staff and vets. From dogs to cats and even a guinea pig all were given full attention. The receptionists always make you feel welcome. One girl in particular-I don't see her very often-is always willing to answer any questions about medications or your bill. I think her name is Brenda. We've been clients for years. You can not ask for a more caring or knowledgable staff. They obviously love animals. They've always treated ours well. Price is on par with other hospitals. When you are faced with losing one of your pets, it really helps to have a sympathetic, compassionate vet with you. Typical routine visits are nerve wracking for critters, but they try very hard to make it easier for them. I always recommend them to family and friends. Read Less

The vet was uneducated and unwilling to help! I brought my one year old cat to this vet and was given a pamphlet of where to have her put down over the weekend. The vet told me "there is nothing I can do". I then went online and found The tcyte website and my new vet! My first meeting with my new vet he gave me THREE options of things to try! We chose LTCI (from the tcyte website) my cat is now NEGATIVE for feline leukemia, and she has been tested several times over the past months! My new vet charged me LESS than Lackawanna and saved my cats life! If you love your pet do not go here!!! Read Less

I live in Phoenix, Arizona now, but for years I have relied on them for excellent care for my kitty. Back in 2000, I adopted a 6 week old kitten from the "Netty" (Nettie? sp?) Litter. And yes...
