We'd been using another vet, until the rescue that we adopted a dog from, recommended Larchmont Animal Hospital.  What a difference in care!  Dr. Walsh Fullerton has now been taking care of all the dogs that we foster and adopt for over 10 years!  She and Dr. Wilson are very special-never judgmental, but understanding that different dogs have different personalities and needs (as do their owners!).  Jen at the front desk is exceptional.  I can't imagine the office running without her care and quick response, especially in an emergency. Been coming here since 2010 and we couldn’t be happier. The doctors and staff are fantastic. Jen is terrific and has always accommodated any of our needs, I’d ever I need to get in quickly she has always been there to help. We have been with LAH since 2005 when we adopted our first dog. Our dogs have always received excellent care. When it came to the end stages of life for our first rescue, the staff were very caring, helpful and informed. I do not think an animal could be treated with greater compassion. I arrived very early for my appointment yet I was greeted warmly and accommodated quickly.  This was my first visit with Albert but my second visit to this animal clinic. Dr. Wilson was warm and very gentle and she gave the examination. We discussed his general health and future adaptation of his diet for better health.  Dr. Wilson created an atmosphere in which I could discuss Albert's options. I have used Dr. Walsh and most recently Dr. Wilson. They love animals and are so caring for my two dogs who were both rescued: 1 from an adoption group and another from a high skill shelter. They are so patient and caring towards our dogs. Even better they answer all of our questions and concerns. Most recently one of my dogs had an allergic reaction to a vaccine. They answered our call after midnight and directed us on what to do. They even called over the next 3 days to check in on her. I have brought both of my dogs here for 10 years mostly only for checkups as they have never had big injuries that needed attention right away.  My dog hurt her leg badly on a Friday night and we called to see if we can bring her in and we were told to wait to bring her in until the next day since they wouldn't be able to do much, since it just happened.  We called the next morning at 8:30 AM to see when we can bring her in during the day and the receptionist RUDELY told us that they will not see my hurt dog at all.  As someone who was a loyal patient for 10 years you would think they would have treated my dog and myself better, but clearly they do not care about their patients. This was the worst experience in my life    My beloved chihuahua  who passed away years ago.     But I must tell my horrible nightmare experience with this vet hospital.      My dog who had tumors in her nose was hemorageing  badly    We went to the hospital in a panic.    They said they were to busy to accept us.  A bleeding tiny dog and me in a panic     I was crying hysterically.     They were cold and didn't care about my poor dog.     A kind lady said I could take  my dog ahead of her dog appt.   but by then I'm covered in my dogs blood and panicked.     They didn't do a thing.   Said she had tumors and sent us away.      Plus a year earlier I took my dog in for dental work    She had a gum infection    They said she had wax in her ears and they cleaned the ears also.   Well I observed  after the visit she was deaf.   They punctured my dogs ears.     She wasn't suffering with her loss of hearing.  But they said  her age  made her go deaf.      So again they didn't care.      I will never forget my dieing dog and they would not accept her    A emergency and they were too busy.       I would never reccommend this vet hospital  never Read Less

I have an 11 year old Pekingese and Dr. Walsh Fullerton of Larchmont Animal hospital has been his vet for nine years. Recently, he began experiencing pain due to his arthritic condition. Dr. Walsh told me that Larchmont Animal Hospital has been using laser therapy for a wide range of conditions. I was reluctant but I did research and decided I would try a few sessions. Since beginning the treatments, my boy has responded wonderfully. He has a renewed pep to his gait, his discomfort has eased, and his overall quality of life has improved. I used to live in the Bronx and have since moved to Suffolk County Long Island. Having been a vet assistant for many years I know sometimes the things that can happen behind closed doors. But Dr Fullerton and her staff are amazing. I never mind making the drive for our annual check up. Nothing is done other than the necessity. My boy drags me in he's so happy to see everyone, even after shots and blood work he's still smiling and kissing everyone. I would never go anywhere else. Read Less

My dog has been a patient with LAH for years.  This year, he finally met Dr. Fullerton, the owner of the practice.  In the past, another Vet would always sub for her because Dr. F was on vacation or our appointment just never coincided with meeting her.  Now that I met her, I wish I never did.  She is not personable at all and treats visits like an assembly line...."I'm gonna give him this, he looks good, see you next year, neeext." Enough said.  I have another Vet in addition to LAH and I have decided to eliminate LAH and switch to the other Vet.  LAH used to have a temporary Vet named Dr. Laura (first name).  She was excellent....made the time to explain every issue, gave options, made my dog feel comfortable by talking to him and showing him love.  If you are a true dog owner then you cherish your dog like a son/daughter and make him/her feel comfortable in a strained environment of poking, pricking and pressing. Our dog had to undergo an dental surgery. LAH took out two teeth but the swelling never really went away. We had to take her to another clinic where they took an x-ray and finally found the right tooth. I would not recommend Larchmont Animal Hospital, in my opinion, they are only trying to sell services! Avoid paying for expensive procedures twice and go to a hospital where they offer a professional service with x-rays in the first place. Read Less

Horrible. Impatient and rude front desk person. Doctor performed unnecessary surgery and never fitted my dog with a proper e-collar. I lost my sleep watching my dog not to bite her paw. I had a perfectly happy and healthy dog. Now my busy life turned into nightmare. My dog's personality is changing. Her spirit is broken and she became aggressive. The surgery was totally unnecessary but doctor never explained any other options. Secretary has no compassion or listening skills. She passes and give wrong info. Doctor rushes me or sees me in a lobby or hiding all together and let's her assistants to take care of my dog in the lobby!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!! Read Less

The doctor performed an unnessary surgery on my dog for something that can easily be treated with antibiotics. I had a perfectly happy dog who picked on her paw sometimes. Now the dog's spirit is broken. The hospital workers including the doctor rush you! They don't listen to you. The fitted my dog with a wrong e-collar and refused to for her with the right one. In fact their nasty secretary sent me to Petco to get the collar. But that's the best things she did because doctor never even bother to see me or my dog after stiches came out. The surgery was at a place that a dog can easily reach. The doctor knew it all and told me nothing about the misery they dog would suffer. The secretary never listens to me and gives doctor wrong information when I call over and over and over again. This all cost me $900 and the dog is complete ruined by the unnecessary surgery. She can't play or run. Or she does is groul. That's the dog who loved to give kisses. Stay away from dr. Fullerton and her incompetent and nasty front desk witch. Read Less

I use to be a customer of Larchmont Animal Hospital. Yesterday I had an unfortunate experience with them that made me feel extremely angry and frustrated. I called with an Emergency with my beloved cat. I spoke to someone who I feel was extremely rude and completely lacked compassion for my cats Emergency. I asked for a house visit. I only live a 5 minute walking distance away. Instead what I received a day later after my cats death was a very frustrating conversation with someone who I felt lacked compassion, customer service and most of all professionalism. As an animal lover I expect more from an animal hospital. Will never again be returning. Read Less

They didn't feed her with the food that I supplied for her and instead they gave her some other's dogs food which really upset her stomach. Her fur around her snout was stained red which also indicated she was fed with different food.Read Less

I've been with Dr Fullerton for a long time. I've switched from hospital to hospital until she now owns her own hospital.  She used to be Dr Walsh for those who know her from New Rochelle AH and Mamaroneck AH.  She is knowledgable and kind.  I trust her so much I now travel from Suffolk County to her when I need care for my pets.  She hand picked her staff who are amazing as well.  I used to bet tech for her and at other hospitals so I know first hand the care and attention she gives her patients are top notch!  Do I have an emergency back up...of course.  But for everything else that needs to be done I will never go anywhere else.
