lastnight i brought my 7 week old puppy there she was having a hard time breathing , when we got there they took her right away and gave her a IV they then told me she had fluid around her heart, WITHOUT showing me the x-ray they stated that i should euthanize her.. they then put her to sleep to see if there was something stuck in her throat, they told me she might not wake up but she did!!! she had some fight in her i asked them if they could remove the fluid but they didnt want to, they also wanted me to pay 120$ for the check up and then pay to kill her, i got to see her go but i feel like there was something they couldve done besides just taking her life R.I.P HENNYBEAR 03/03/2018-04/25/2018

These people here are absolute miracle workers! Prices are ridiculously high, but that being said, I think you get what you pay for! My dog had an emergency about two years ago and they did everything to help me and more importantly my fur baby. They also have care credit if you can’t afford to pay for something out right at that very moment. If you have an emergency with your family friend, I highly suggest you come here and go nowhere else!

Dr. Shaw is the epitome of compassion and caring. My girlfriend's cat had to be euthanized (14 years old with an intestinal tumor). Dr. Shaw was amazing.

We've been taking our dog to Latham Animal Hospital since we adopted her two years ago. The staff is great - the front desk staff always do their best to get us in as soon as possible, and they're always friendly and know our dog by name. And the vet technicians and veterinarians are all great too - all very nice and treat our dog as they would treat their own. Can't ask for more than that.

We took our cat here on short notice under bad circumstances. Dr. Solomon did everything that we could have asked of her, taking great care to make him (and us) comfortable, making sure we understood the diagnoses, and showing absolute compassion and understanding, along with her support staff. Looking for recommendations for a new vet, after taking our pets to Latham Animal Hospital for almost 2 decades, Pam called on our way down Friday morning after he was bitten and was told they only had two vets on and one was leaving early so they couldn't see him, stopped to get his immunization records to go elsewhere and 3 employees were sitting shooting the breeze with no one in the waiting room. Told them I was unhappy and they were totally unconcerned, if you can charge me large sums of money for regular care you should be there in an emergency, on the other hand, if you should have an emergency, upstate animal clinic on sparrowbush road is beyond great, took us right in and prices were more than reasonable, wish they did primary care.

The staff are friendly, but that is the only real positive point to this place. In my honest opinion, I would not wish anyone to go here and waste their time and money. I took my two cats here two weeks ago for a yearly checkup, a rabies booster for one of them, and ear drops and a blood test for the other. First off, it was $352 for all of that, but that wasn't even the bad thing about it. The ear drops did literally nothing for my one cat who constantly shakes his head. Two weeks, twice a day fighting to put them in, and they did nothing. They also promised they would call back with the blood test results in a "few days" (the same cat with the ear issue is rapidly losing weight as they suggested I get it done). You would think that if someone was willing to drop $100+ on a test that you would have the decency to actually tell them the RESULTS? Two weeks go by and I call them. A lady picks up, looks at my file, and tells me (word for word) "Oh, yeah. You're right. I'll make sure someone calls you back today." Guess what phone call I never got that day?

I've gone to Drumm for 12 yes & always had great care for my pets. I do however miss Dr Allen who worked there for many years but I have stayed with Drumm. No complaints yet.

The Vet Technicals at Drumm saved our cat. We have since transferred both are cats there and will not be going anywhere else. Oh and BTW Tanners hospital stay was 1/2 the cost of the other vet. Our cats vaccines and all other procedures are significantly less then the other vet as well

I created a Yelp account just so I could review this place. If you're looking for a vet that treats you and your pet with dignity and compassion, I would not recommend latham animal hospital. Especially if you have an older animal and you want a professional to help you with tough decisions, it is so important to find a vet that cares.The good thing about this place is you can get an appointment rather quickly, good hours, and regular check up appointment is a little cheaper than most. In an emergency I do end up coming back here since she's already been on medications and I know exactly which medication I'm asking for. However the people don't seem like they care about your pet, nor you. When I finally considered getting my 14 year old shih tzu surgery for her fatty tumor which had gotten the size of a softball, I knew I couldn't taker her here. Their service is mediocre and I'd only trust them with mediocre issues.

I took my cat in there without them knowing us, because it was the first time I could get Rooby in a carrier IN THREE YEARS! I could not neglect this chance to get Rooby her shots, which had expired, and I was hoping someone could help us.
Rooby also needed a certificate of health because I have to take her to New Mexico. I am a very sick woman (late-stage ovarian cancer) and I really was grateful they did not turn me down because it was Sunday. Were Rooby a normal cat, I would have made an appointment and brought her in. But I have had to cancel FIVE APPOINTMENTS with various vets because I could never get her in her cage. God bless these people!

First off, it was $352 for all of that, but that wasn't even the bad thing about it. The ear drops did literally nothing for my one cat who constantly shakes his head. Two weeks, twice a day fighting to put them in, and they did nothing. They also promised they would call back with the blood test results in a "few days" (the same cat with the ear issue is rapidly losing weight as they suggested I get it done). You would think that if someone was willing to drop $100+ on a test that you would have the decency to actually tell them the RESULTS? Two weeks go by and I call them. A lady picks up, looks at my file, and tells me (word for word) "Oh, yeah. You're right. I'll make sure someone calls you back today." Guess what phone call I never got that day?

I've gone to Drumm for 12 yes & always had great care for my pets. I do however miss Dr Allen who worked there for many years but I have stayed with Drumm. No complaints yet.

We almost lost our 2 year old cat to a uti at another veterinary hospital. We brought him to Drumm. After 5 days he was home. On special food and feeling much better. The Vet Technicals at Drumm saved our cat. We have since transferred both are cats there and will not be going anywhere else. Oh and BTW Tanners hospital stay was 1/2 the cost of the other vet. Our cats vaccines and all other procedures are significantly less then the other vet as well

I created a Yelp account just so I could review this place. If you're looking for a vet that treats you and your pet with dignity and compassion, I would not recommend latham animal hospital. Especially if you have an older animal and you want a professional to help you with tough decisions, it is so important to find a vet that cares.The good thing about this place is you can get an appointment rather quickly, good hours, and regular check up appointment is a little cheaper than most. In an emergency I do end up coming back here since she's already been on medications and I know exactly which medication I'm asking for. However the people don't seem like they care about your pet, nor you. When I finally considered getting my 14 year old shih tzu surgery for her fatty tumor which had gotten the size of a softball, I knew I couldn't taker her here. Their service is mediocre and I'd only trust them with mediocre issues.

I took my cat in there without them knowing us, because it was the first time I could get Rooby in a carrier IN THREE YEARS! I could not neglect this chance to get Rooby her shots, which had expired, and I was hoping someone could help us.
Rooby also needed a certificate of health because I have to take her to New Mexico. I am a very sick woman (late-stage ovarian cancer) and I really was grateful they did not turn me down because it was Sunday. Were Rooby a normal cat, I would have made an appointment and brought her in. But I have had to cancel FIVE APPOINTMENTS with various vets because I could never get her in her cage. God bless these people!
